Linda Davis was a phenomenal singer in her own right. Went to a Reba concert at Arco Arena in Sacramento when I was younger. They did this song and Reba and Linda went over the crowd in an elevated platform right over my head. Their voices are absolutely glorious.
1st, Reba had a skin cancer lesion removed from her forehead... hence all the head-dresses in the video.
2nd, Linda Davis' daughter is Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum.
3rd, I couldn't wait for your reaction to Reba blowing them up. 😂😂😂

I love reba mcentire but she is one of the most powerful women in that industry trust me Davis career was shortened after that duet. Most I said most not all cant tell there are two women singing in this song that posed an issue. Just saying a couple of other people that were in the industry will agree
Kyle Hellams If anything, I would say Reba helped Linda more than hurt her. If I recall correctly, Reba heard Linda on a demo tape and got her as a backup singer for one of her tours, which eventually led to them recorded this duet that I would say was a jumping stone for Linda to go off on her own.

That "man" at the end is famous director and actor Rob Reiner. He directed When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, Princess Bride, Stand By Me, A Few Good Men, etc,
And of course was everyone's favorite Meat head in All in the Family.
Reiner was also Michael Stivic (aka "Meathead") in the classic 70s sitcom, "All in the Family".
And, he directed Reba in the film North which was shot around the same time.

It’s two different singers. They were both fantastic singers. Oh the shade with these two at the country music awards (maybe it was the Grammys). The first one was gorgeous, but when Reba walked out in that stage her dress was down to her naval with a sheer cover.. we all knew who he was living at this point.

I’m sure someone has mentioned this but Linda Davis is the the mother of Hillary Scott of Lady A. At the time this song was made, Linda was one of Reba’s backup vocalists in her band. Another artist, Thomas Rhett, is the son of Rhett Akins, who was a country music performer in the 90s, and to this day is a songwriter who has written some of country musics greatest hits over the past few decades.
Linda Davis was Rebas backup singer. Her husband was part of the band. Hillary scott from Lady A is their daughter and grew up on the road with them. There is a version of this song where Hillary sings Linda's part.

Linda Davis was one of Reba's back up singers in her band for many years and Reba got her signed to a recording contract, she put out one album but it didnt do well and the label dropped her. For those many years with Reba, Linda's daughter Hillary grew up back stage with Reba and the band. She is Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum.
That man at the end was playing the director of the video that they were shooting, the video of the song. And Linda, Reba, and Husband (don’t know him) we’re watching the playback of the explosion and the director was asking what they thought of the shot. Director was played by Rob Reiner and I believe he also actually directed the video for real, too.
The guy who directed it was Rob Reiner ( guy at the very end in the baseball cop). He played 'meathead' on All In The Family.

Linda was Reba's backup singer on tour and did these duets with Reba in concert. Then after the tour Linda got her own record deal. She had moderate success but never made it to star level.

I was waiting for the reaction to the ending of the music video, and I was not disappointed.
Reba was suppose to sing this duet with another singer but they were unavailable during a rehearsal. So Linda was actually one of Reba's back up singers. So Linda offered to fill in for the rehearsal that day. The actually loved her so much and bbn how well her and Reba's voices blended that Reba said she would only sing it with Linda.
