I've never drank alcohol, so I wouldn't be able to tell you but this was written for his grandma and grandma surprised him at the end. That reaction was pure surprise and shock with the stunt pulled by grandma. Loved it and loved your reaction too.

To answer you about Tequila, my mother was quite a character and we could tell you some stories of her and tequila. Thankfully it was limited occasions and after I was married. when you drink alcohol it makes blood pressure rise in some people. Thanks for the entertainment!
When this song came out, my husband said if it was vodka, he'd think it was written for me. I can handle tequila fine. Never could handle vodka and usually lost most of my clothes, which is why I haven't had vodka since around the time when this song first came out.
It really is fascinating how people react to different alcohols, vodka just makes me warm and happy but tequila makes me nauseous almost instantly 😄

#2 I don't like drinking anymore but when I did it was a silver margarita ( Petron) with grand marnier, I danced with strangers and let them buy me drinks and if they were super hot I may ( cough cough) have kissed a few but I gave them wrong name, wrong number and never went home with anyone.

In my younger days, Jaycees (U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce) conventions almost always involved a lot of alcohol, and the ever popular "Tablecloth Toga Party". I remember one convention in Augusta, Maine where the other group at the hotel was a bunch of old folks known as "The Royal Order of the Cootie". We had a naked parade up and down the hallways at 3 AM. Sadly, those images will never be erased from my mind. Some people, especially those over the age of 80, should NEVER march naked in a parade; they just shouldn't.

I've never had that experience but I have stood face first in a corner of a room looking for the door knob and other times wondering how I got home bc my car was in the driveway. Thank God for good friends that didn't drink or only had one or two.
This song was just for fun. Back in the day I lost a couple jackets. Once you start dancing and having fun you forget about the jacket. The weather outside doesn't remind you because the cold isn't so cold after you have had a few and your dancing a lot. I'm told I was a good dancer. I never believed it so I wouldn't dance unless I had a few to drink first. Then I got brave and forgot about anyone who might be watching.

Hey man, I'm 44, never touched a drop of alcohol, or any illicit substances, in my life. So I am a life long designated driver/puke patrol/short order cook at parties. I've seen some WILD stuff at parties, most of which I still don't believe and I was there! With some of those parties, I'm the only one that remembers what happened to people that were there, and everything spans from the absolutely mundane, to the bizarre. Best thing about being the DD, is when you are cooking for slobbering drunk people, and you purposely make the greasiest, nastiest stuff to get revenge on people that take advantage or make fun of your sobriety! I've had people ride with me in my 84' Chevy Suburban back in the 90's,they had to push my suburban 3 blocks because the a-holes were bending and throwing silverware at a Denny's and got us kicked out, and I didn't even get my meal so I was pissed. Takes a helluva lot to actually get kicked out of a Denny's, you know. I've left people out in the middle of nowhere at 3 in the morning, then come back an hour later and found them curled up in the ditch because they were throwing things around in my vehicle. And I can't tell you how many times I've been pulled over by the police, sober as a priest on Sunday, and have to explain the 3 passed out people in my vehicle and the drunk half out the window yelling like an idiot at people as we passed by.
Oh, and then there was the bungie cord incident...

I was a daily drinker for 25 years; vodka was my daily drink, and tequila was my "party" drink. It didn't make my clothes fall off, but it gave me black eyes and bar-bans! The last time I got drunk (15 years ago), I was drinking tequila at a bar. I started several fights, passed out, and woke with a pounding head...the beertender was dragging me out the back door by my ankles, and my head was bouncing off the steps. Tequila seems to have...special...qualities!
