It was hard for us all when we first heard this song because we could not distinguish Reba's voice from Linda's. You have have to listen to it more than once to fully understand that the wife and mistress both imagine a similar conversation with the other. In the end, both realize they have been fooled. You should listen to more of Reba's hits from the 80s and 90s as they very much describe, like never before in Country music, the nature of the woman's lovelife and losses.
Watching you getting wound up, I turned to my husband and said, "When the ending hits, she's gonna lose her mind."

@@christeevasquez3209 Linda Davis was also a back up singer for Reba in the late eighties, early nineties. She went solo but never reached “Reba” level of stardom. She’s a sweetheart and a great singer though. I met her after a concert when I was around 10 years old. I think I actually still have her autograph on the concert ticket stub.

India, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you get so physically invested in a video before (pacing the floor, etc)! I knew the ending of this video, so was just waiting to see how you’d react. This song won a Grammy for best Country collaboration in 1993. Having lots of experience with this video, knowing how it was going to end, your reaction was simply priceless.
Fun Fact - Linda Davis's Part was supposed to go to Trisha Yearwood. Scheduling conflicts prevented them from recording together so they had Linda Davis stand in during the initial recording and Yearwood would then come in at a later date and they would insert her vocals where they needed to be. However, when Davis started singing they were like sorry Trisha, we're keeping Linda.
Additional fun fact, Linda is Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum’s mom. 🙂

Reba is one of my all time faves. Other good song/videos are “Whoever’s In New England” “It’s Your Call” and if you really want to feel some emotion go with “For My Broken Heart”. Linda Davis was Reba's backup singer for years before they did this duet, AND Linda is the mother of Hillary Scott of Lady A. Powerful voices run in that family.
Reba is probably the biggest selling country female artist of all time. In addition though, she has several of the best duets I’ve ever heard. Give If You See Him, If you See Her a try, duet with Brooks and Dunn.

Their voices are so much alike in this, that it's easy to get mixed up. But it's Linda that actually sings the line about him going home to her (Reba) and has his mornings, days and sometimes I (Linda) have his nights. Reba is the wife, Linda is the other woman. Linda Davis is an East Texas girl out of the Carthage, Texas area. I've always thought she should have made it bigger as a solo artists but I think she got pigeonholed as Reba's sidekick because of this song that was such a big hit. She never was able to break out of the association with Reba and this song even though she did do her own albums and had her own releases.
Reba is the Wifey and Linda is the other woman. But Turn On Your Radio by Reba is one of my faves.

I got to see her LIVE!!! As a surprise from my AUNTIE years ago!!!💓 SHE'S EVEN MORE AMAZING LIVE!!!😮🎶🎤 She had ALL of the props, outfits, etc for EVERY iconic song!!!😰 AND she did the new stuff BUT, also DID ALL of the older bad-ass songs like FANCY!!!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

It is a wonderful song. Their voices blend so beautifully together. Musically, the harmonies are perfect.
Dana says- "She's outside their house. She's outside their house while it's raining." LOL! I fell out! The year this song came out, my mom and I went to see Reba in concert. This duet performed was epic! Linda was wearing a full length, black, sequined gown and Reba was similarly dressed but in white. They came in from opposite directions, but both on platforms that were elevated at least 20 feet over the crowd. AMAZING! Almost every song had a costume change and many of them were like Reba was performing a small play in character.

I grew up listening all kinds of music but never county I just didn't care for it. However, when I went to college, my roommate was a country fan I did not think this would work. I was wrong. She introduced me to Reba when it's your call came out. Wow. I was hooked .

The lead female singer in Lady Antebellum (now called Lady A) is Linda Davis' daughter - FYI. (Linda Davis used to sing right in Reba's band, and Reba gave her the opportunity to cut some records, and it was a great run for a bit.)
In this music video Reba was the wife and the other chick was the side piece. That’s why when they started to going back and forth and Reba said Because I have everything thing to lose and the other said and I have nothing to gain. Then when Reba is outside in the rain saying Shouldn’t I lose my Temper and the other said shouldn’t I be ashamed. Yeah, this was my 1st concert with Reba and Brooks & Dunn when I was little and I went with my Mother and Aunt and my Cousin who was small as well. They was absolutely amazing in person. I was literally like maybe 5 or 6 years old and I can still remember and hear the power of Reba’s voice.🔥🔥🔥💯

I think they added that ending because of the controversy that Garth Brook's video for And the Thunder Rolls caused. It was banned because of the violent ending. This was probably a way to slip the content in without being censored.

I can’t believe you’ve had Reba reactions these past two years. I’ve recently found this page and oh man do I have a lot of catching up to do. Because if you are reacting to country singers I know you are going to have some epic reactions.
Some people may not like the country sound of the genre but everyone can relate to the stories of the country music. From ex’s to finding love, inspiration, anger and getting you going and country even has some party songs. It is a genre that can get anyone to fall into it it’s just a matter of the song and/or the singer(s).
I hope as I’m watching I see you react to Mr. Mom by Lonestar or Daughters by Martina McBride because I think those are just a few you would be able to relate to or laugh at.
