As a young person born in the 60’s, growing up in the 70’s, I was taught by my government, news media, etc., not to trust the Russians. Watching these musicians, their love of music, American music at that, helps me understand these people are no different than me. I am filled with joy that they enjoy a part of my culture and I would be honored to go see them in concert and invite them for diner afterwards. Its time we push our politicians aside and love one another without prejudice. Deep appreciation to my Russian friends for making such beautiful music!

There is a difference in not trusting the Russian government and the Russian people.

OCT 27th 2023- Lifelong hardcore fan of Chicago, Sir Elton and the Eagles, lucky enough to discover Leonid and his lovable band of authentic musician, music-revering friends!!! What a treat to find a cover band that (arguably!) outperforms the original performer!!!
This was the best Chicago covered version that I have never heard from anywhere else. Respect all of you and will be a big fan from now on.
There are no words to describe the incredible quality and “inspiration” in this reproduction of one of Chicago’s best songs. Vocals are absolutely dead on and the orchestration is rich, accurate, and full of character. Thank you to Leonid and all of the master musicians who contributed to bringing back to life one of the best bands ever!

I have never said this about any CZcams cover- this is better than the original, the string section and horn section really lifts it. And I love the moog bass on the original but the electric bass fits better with the arrangement.
I know a lot of people consider the song cheesy, but it’s a really well written song and you really nailed it.

Actually they get to put a spin on these songs. Whitney Houston for example, was the biggest "Song Changer" I'd ever seen. Actually these wonderful people painstakingly try to replicate the originals as best they can. The result is a phenomenal achievement!
Why did it take complete foreigners that dont even speak the language, to come across an entire ocean just to keep this music alive? Every Chicago fan alive should be pouring support down on these gifted souls.

My wife and I just got home from tonight’s Orlando concert of Leonid & Friends, and we were completely blown away by this talented and energetic group of inspiring musicians. Their performance was flawless and the entertainment value was off the charts. If you ever get the chance, treat yourself to a wonderful evening with these folks. You won’t be disappointed!
My wife and friends we introduced to Leonid & Friends were there that night as well. Agree, it was great performance. We all returned to see them again May 20th 2022. And we'll want to see them again when Serge is able to return.

I made a post on this a few weeks ago and somethin I forgot to say was that I really noticed how every musician in that room is having a BLAST doin this. I love that they love it.
In my 62 years of life, this is the first time I have ever seen and heard such a collaboration that sounds better than the originals.
All of you are to be highly commended for your performances, vocal and instrumental . You are all beautiful people. The most talented I have seen in many years please never give up, never stop singing and playing. All the best from Port St. Lucie Florida.

I did not like this era of Chicago's music. That said, this song was such a big hit it has always stuck with me. And, as usual, L&F's perform another one absolutely flawlessly.

I didn't like that phase either, but somehow L&F puts more beauty and meaning into these songs. It's the enjoyment they're getting out of it, I think.
The cheese is real but you can't deny the songwriting chops really hit a lot of people in the feels.

I've been a horn player for years....there have been times when the charts I've played have been so amazing that I've almost been overwhelmed to the point that it's hard to stay with it... L&F is so impossibly talented..almost an anomaly in the business, that they remind me of those times.. These charts and their delivery are the best in the world!!!! Please come back to the USA with expanded production so that you can do bigger venues...
A pop ballad with actual depth and harmonic complexity. The world should not sleep on this song, and this cover is head and shoulders better than the original.

Absolutely perfect diction with this very difficult song to sing ..take it from me I know ..being a musician and vocalist myself. And to top it off for a Russian to speak this perfect English on this tune is just incredible. Ksenia has perfect pitch in high harmony.
When "Chicago" released this song back in the day; it felt more like Peter Cetera and its producer, David Foster, than the group I grew to love. Thank you for putting the Chicago sound into this song as it should have been in the first place!
Yeah, Cetera-led Chicago kind of did away with the horns that always defined Chicago and made it unique.
@@HeadHunterSix Cetera's involvement was more an imposition than anything else. Foster's seemed to totally forget what the job of a recording producer was all about. To bring out best performances of the musicians he/she is working with. Not suppress them!

Been Huge fan of Chicago the Band since 1970, but gotta say this is the Best rendition of this song ever; and far far outstrips the original; this is a grand slam hit here. Thanks for doing this.
It already was a hit - in 1984.
This is without a doubt the best this song has ever been played or sung. It is flawlessly performed from every element. I am absolutely blown away. Outrageously great musicianship. The vocals, lead, backing and harmonies are incredible. I'm just left shaking my head. I don't want to leave out how magnificent the sound engineering is. The production quality is off the charts.

I seriously don’t think Chicago could re-create its own song to the same quality as these guys.
Not at their current age, but Chicago did create this masterpiece and it’s perfect.
In the tapes I have seen of the original Chicago Band from their early days, they were not as energetic or joyful in their delivery. That was a different day though, and they are responsible for the amazing songs. The very complicated changes in each one still amazes me. Glad that both groups came to be.

Remember the original band Chicago had large brass section and Terry kath on guitar that made them the best in the 70s. When Terry died, they lost their heart performer i believe. Got more pop rockish..

This ensemble is the best combination of talent from all your videos. Serge has an amazing voice and I could listen to Konstantin for hours.
But honestly the entire ensemble is essential to this masterpiece of a cover. All the Chicago covers are just spot on.
I'll say It over and over. Since the first video watched on CZcams, and the first time watching them live at the 210 Club in Chicago. These guys are very, very special!! The fantastic vocals, perfection note by note musically and seeing the joy they show performing some of the best music ever made. Leonid's ability to dissect every nuance of these songs while adding his own touch without disturbing the pure sounds of the original. This hasn't been an easy time for them, or anyone. Please help them keep playing and performing if you can!! The live concert venues and most of the performers have been especially devastated by this sad time in world history..🙏🙏✌️❤️

My wife and I saw Leonid & Friends in a recent concert. I was absolutely astonished at their amazing musical talent. The do Chicago better than Chicago, if that is even possible. Further, they make it so much fun to see them....dancing in the aisle. Marvelous talent. God bless these guys. (I am begging them to do a gig in Las Vegas. If you loved Chicago or Earth Wind & Fire, you will absolutely not be sorry you saw them. Best concert I have ever been to.

I've bought LP's, 8-tracks, cassettes, and CD's of their music but I honestly think you guys do a better job. It's breath-taking actually. Another great Chicago cover. I’ve listened the original first and then this beautiful cover. There is a difference. This sounds more vivid, woke and vitalisizing. I can here you enjoy what you’re doing and I missed that in the original.

Into the Cetera era, I see. And I guess just like Chicago (and many other bands), members move on. I must admit there’s a bit of sadness to not see the original members, but the group remains tight. And I see some familiar faces in the orchestra which was a nice thing too. Thanks for providing more excellent music.
It’s a Russian group that has been doing Chicago covers for years. There are no members of Chicago in this orchestra.

They have now changed some members of the band, hence my comment that they are just like other bands as some member move on. And, if you go back and watch other videos with an orchestra, then you will see some familiar faces this time. Long time fan here
I see faces in the string section whom I've seen since the earliest videos. (Except for a beautiful, dark-haired violin player I used to musically crush on who's been missing for a while :D). This kind of continuity says volumes about not only the quality of the ensemble, but the community of the ensemble. Mr. Vorobyev, I'm so glad you decided to celebrate your birthday the way you did!

Besides all the vocals being spot-on in-tune, and there are just no errors in the production, I love how most of the players are smiling, and appear to be having a genuinely good time. A lot of bands make goofy faces like they are in pain. I'm glad Leonid & Friends are not like that. Fantastic! It makes *me* smile!

I was in high school when Terry Kath passed away. Peter Cetera's voice became the sound of the band and Chicago was no longer a "rock band with horns" - they were an easy listening band with power ballads.
I love what Serge brings to the band and he's an amazing talent. I'm also going to deeply miss Sergey's contribution.

WOW! I just saw Chicago perform in Little Rock, AR two weeks ago! Watching your orchestra perform this Chicago classic is a treat! If you ever get within driving distance, I would love to attend your performance. Hope Serge is doing well, and God bless you all. You're incredibly blessed with amazing talent, honed by much hard work.
Only problem is the lead singer here is Ukrainian and had to remain home to serve on their defense force. There are videos of him here on CZcams talking about the group and the war.
I met the band members after a show on their first mini tour, and they all seemed to be having a great time. The drummer despite having limited English was a sweetheart of a guy.
Its really to bad politics had to go and ruin the good will built up by citizens, through music. The first western rock show in Moscow only drew a couple million spectators. Think about that. Russians were so starved for western music and culture that 2 million of them packed around a stage to listen to Pantera, AC/DC and Metallica. If you have never seen it, go look up Enter Sandman in Moscow. Its unreal.
So much good will tossed aside. Its sad.
