Might be worth looking at Intermittent fasting. for low aerobic effort days, which your typical crag day or moderate multi-pitch day your body is completely capable to providing all your energy needs from body fat stores when you are in a fasted state (like you were during that 7 mile run) I'm in the middle of a 40hr fast. yesterday 4 mile morning run and 4 hr climbing session at the gym no energy dips or spikes. Eating clean as you described is also definitely key! But the when and timing can play a big part. Great looking bunch of spawn!

Thanks jim. Yeah, I typically skip breakfast and this has helped in big multipitch days to get out and get a lot done before needing to start snacking. 40 hr fast dude?!?!? that's crazy

Great video! How finely blended are the carrots ? Whenever I put carrots in a smoothie I am always left with big pieces

My blender gets the veggies decently chopped up but I definitely have to chew a little bit when I drink the smoothie. I don’t mind though because I’m getting really good quality food. The “single serving blenders” get the veggies chopped up a lot more.

Great stuff once again! What model is your particular blender? I’ve had a small one for awhile and looking to upgrade.

It's a Ninja Blender, I can't remember what model. It's the one that has some pre-programmed stuff. The smoothie preprogram works great. I think it was like $125 so super affordable.

As always, thank you for your very practical and detailed videos. Can you link me to the 2 gnarly products you used in the smoothie? Thanks!

Do you drink all of the shake, or just a glass of it? And do you drink that everyday or just on your climbing/work-out days?

The recipe I make is for about 1500 calories total so I normally split that out over 2 or 3 days evenly. If I'm doing high volume, I will do it over 2 days.
