In this episode, we connected our two shipping containers! We started this process by welding angle iron onto each container and then connected 2x6's to them. We still have to bridge the lumber but we can finally walk across the containers! Don't forget to like and SUBSCRIBE so you can follow us on our journey:)

Noooooo, Say its not true.... You should have welded square or rectangle tubing not put wood on metal. thats a disaster in a few years. Metal and primed. Is how I do it, it also adds strength and makes the left and right sides into one full unit. Woon in contact with metal invites moisture and will mean more rust on metal and rotting of wood.

What effing ever...down in the slums of Rio where some folks live in cardboard boxes, there is always the guy like you saying "Oh no, you used the wrong type of varnish on your roof."

I would of cast a level foundation and weld the 2 containers together. Land shifts and sink. The wood center is a futer headache. You can get hard wood but it's hard to work with. The sides cut outs can be used as dividers for kitchen and bath...

Curious why they didn't put vapor barrier underneath their container and floor. Won't they eventually have vegetation growing underneath and into their floor. What about insulation under their floors???
