Consider urself lucky to have to make adjustments to ur tiny life ..u have the land to be able to support this life style many can't due to zoning, HOA, hud and state restrictions etc! Watching the kids play in the "construction zone" reminds me of when I was a kid. Mom and Dad had their current home built when I was 5 years old... 50 years ago. We got on the hearth and pretended it was a stage before the walls were finished or the carpet was down. Thanks for bringing back those memories. :) The place is going to be awesome.

Hey Spencer! I just watched a dude, made by Mick is his channel, the last video, episode 5 redoing part of this house into an apartment for his daughter, anyway, he demonstrated his muddying technique, soo easy! With virtually no sanding!! And it looked amazing!!

I would personally hold off on painting until you transport to your final destination. This way if you do get any cracks or separation it will be a quicker fix and a better looking final product. Congratulations with your new bundle of joy, you have a beautiful family.

Learned the hard way that having drywall mud over the winter and trying to use after it froze turned out to be a real disaster. All the hard work just to have it all crack, had to sand off and dig out, just to redo all with fresh new mud. I sure hope you never have to do this as you've worked so hard.
