    And we never found his name in any book of 12th or 11th, but names of western scientist like huygens etc are written very proudly.
    Wow such a hypocrisy is this😢😢😢😢😠😠

    We dont study this in our text book.. Becoz its already discovered by another scientist😂😂😂

    Bhai, bending aur reflection mein farak hota hai. Bend hota hai ya nahi ye bhi complicated hai, because apparent bending (diffraction) is not exactly bending. Bending around a high mass object is not light bending but spacetime bending. Anyway, ye Total internal reflection ka concept hai, not bending

      Totally. If anybody had read physics in 12th or even before they must realize that optical fibre was under the topic of total internal reflection.

    Light can be bent was already proven by Arthur Eddington by observation of stars during solar eclipse, thus proving Enstein's general theory of relativity. What Narendra S Kapany did was researching on total internal reflection. Two different things.

    This is not true. It was discovered that light could bend by air Arthur Eddington who observed light bending around the sun from other stars. Additionally is was John Tyndall who demonstrated that light signals could be bent.

    It was already known that light can bend, and fiber optics works due to refraction.

      TIR is made possible by surrounding the core with a layer that has lower index of refraction.
      Which means by avoiding refraction and achieving complete reflection.

    Lol the teach was just bad. Newton in 1704 discussed light could bend. Einstein had a theory about it too.
    His work after co operating other did bring about fiber optic through his work at a BRITISH school. Lol

  • @johnnyhellsink6124
    @johnnyhellsink6124 Před rokem

    So what are you saying he helped create fibre optics? Because the theory of bending light already existed at this time, maybe not in India but elsewhere yes. And fibre optics work because of refraction. And it didn't change the world forever.

    • @karthikdevanahalli
      @karthikdevanahalli Před rokem +1

      Narinder didn’t help create fiber optic, but invented it.
      Fiber optic works because of TIR(Total Internal Reflection). If refraction took place then the signal would get weaker or even might get lost in the process.
      And the concept of bending could be attributed to fiber optic, because otherwise you are only redirecting the light. Though I disagree with the usage of the term bending of light, the general idea is, when you are bending the cable, you are bending the light.
      And it did change the world forever. Otherwise we would still be using copper cables and be stuck with slower internet speeds.
