I am from kerala who has worked in UP for 4 years (1999 - 2003). In UP the politicians are taking the people for granted such as cast religion etc. whereas we the kerala people are competing with the west to enhance our living standards such as socio economic conditions and overall welfare of the society.

I am from South India (Kanyakumari). Our politicians decided to give *free lunch at the school* to motivate poor parents to send their kids to school atleast for the food. This made a huge impact on literacy rate in south India. I have never seen anyone in my district who hasn't been to school.
North did the same.. but somehow teachers and education department officials became rich after this scheme. 🤪🤪

I am from Delhi. For the past 4 years, I have been working in Chennai. These 4 years I have learned a lot about life and people. Tamil people are collectively sweet and kind to even strangers. Initially I had the ego driving me acting like as a North Indian, I'm superior to the Tamil people and did not care about anything. But the karma played it's drama in my life. My mom was diagnosed with cancer and our family decided to treat her in Chennai. It was one of the popular cancer institute in the country. In the 20+ months of journey, so many Tamil people helped my family and supported us a lot. That too, mostly strangers. My relatives and friends in Delhi, they did not even care about my mom's life. I am so grateful to this Tamil people as without them, my family would be in so much turmoil and we would have lost my mom.

Parents and siblings are considered as family in my pov, other all relatives I don't even like to call them family cuz they don't care, they'd surely come and taunt but never really care abt us. It's same with many people

We South Indians didn't bury our identity in the name religion , ultra nationalism and most importantly language ie Hindi. We keep our identity intact at all levels and tried hard for development through education. Our language focus was towards English not following Hindi or sanskrit when Delhi was so particular to impose Hindi at all levels. Health care and basic amenities will surely follow once education spread across the spectrum of society. Hindianized states are stagnant at independence period. Even after 75 years they are still starving for jobs and livelihood. It's the high time to introspect and revisit their policies.
I work in Saudia Arabia and here are many South Indians from Kerala and Tamil Nadu and i must say that they are very educated very polite, nice and kind then other states of India.

Im a tamilian that grew up in UAE and my school had lots North Indians and Pakistanis. I used to disguise as a north indian to avoid being bullied and laughed at. Tamilians and keralites were seen as the weaker ones and our language was being contantly made fun of, even by the teachers. I've stayed in South for the last 10 years of my life. Definitely there is way more maturity down south in urban regions. Hooliganism is present in both sides, but it's lesser in South as per my experience.

Im from kerala. Lived in Tamil Nadu. For us all states except 5 south indian states are cosidered as north india. I observed southies have more hospitality, tolerance, acceptance,politeness, communal harmony etc No discrimination in the name of religion or cast. However we all are Indians and we respect and love our north Indian brothers and sisters. Lets us make our nation proud together. Keyword: Education is the backbone of all kinds of development. In our place I see people are curious always and they read a lot, observe a lot, analyse a lot. learn from others a lot and try to improve themselves.

I am from kerala and I watcted your video.Your prsentation was very nice.But i think you just missed one important reason that helped the development of kerala. like you said ,at the time of independence poverty and unemploymeent rate was very high.people went out side for searching jobs.They first went to sreelanka then moved to gulf countries.There piople got good jobs ,they sent money to the home state. This also helped the developement in kerala.

Very good attempt to describe the topic. I am from keralam, have living experience in Tamil nadu, West bengal and Odisha. You mention that south indians states have distinctl identity in language and culture whereas these states have more connectivity of language and culture basically from dravidian roots which is the oldest original Indian language and culture. moreover these states have certain festivals like Onam, Pongal etc. which are observed by all irrespective of their religion and most importantly, religious hatred is least and noway religion comes ahead of their culture, politics and social living.
