- Here’s a matchup you don’t see very often on 1320Video! You’ve seen this nasty turbo K20 Honda Civic on our channel before tearing up the streets with his super lightweight chassis and 650+hp to the wheels, but what you haven’t seen is him going toe to toe with the almighty Lamborghini Gallardo with two turbochargers strapped to the V10 engine sitting over the rear wheels! Not only that, but another hatch Civic showed up, sporting a B18 with a massive turbo making over 700 horsepower - WTF!? Unfortunately we didn’t see the Lambo at full boost since he was only on pump gas at roughly 780hp, but this is still a big accomplishment for these little econobox Civics, can’t take anything away from what these guys have done!

They're doing highway pulls, not starting from a stop. Pulls aren't as intense on a transmission as starting when stopped.

People regularly drop 600+ HP into the FK8 type R. Stock K20 internals, transmission, diff, axles. It's just mounts and bolt ons.

I have the good fortune of living in Seattle, WA, where we have names like Ozzy motorsports and Speedfactory, who has a sub 8 second stock chassis Civic. We also have arguably the biggest modified community in the PNW outside of Japan. I see some stupid fast Honda's out here, lately more so the 3.5l v6 Vtec engines on 6-speed trans pushing over 1000whp in a FWD sedan. It's amazing stuff.
We also have the morons that think their civic with 6 different colors and factory steel wheels is the hottest shit on the street. I think that's everywhere.

A 180hp 2000lb car will accelerate faster than a 400hp 4500lb car. It's definitely a factor especially considering the lighter car has less than HALF the horsepower of the heavier car. HP comes into play but so does weight. It's just physics. Less mass takes less energy to accelerate. The heavier car has more HP, yes; but also twice the mass to "spend" it on.

+mncarguy I know what you are saying. But I disagree. It's one thing to go as fast as these civics at the lowest dollar amount possible. If your end goal is simply straight line speed then sure. These civics are awesome. But unless you really really REALLY want to have a fast civic, there is a reason super cars look the way they do on the outside, look and feel the way they do in the inside, and overall make you feel how they do when behind the wheel. Simply put, there are people who do NOT want to drive around in a civic and have the speed and looks as a total package. As far as cost, all of this comes from a team of engineers, project managers, etc that have a common goal: make a vehicle for people who want something special and are willing to pay for something that has design and speed that also doesn't look like a hodgepodge of autozone parts.

Man..I hate/love 1320. All the cars on here have 1000hp+ and in reality 200hp is well over enough for a street car. Now no one thinks 400hp is anything.

I highly doubt they use these as street cars.
In Texas, I use 300HP almost daily. I love the feeling. 500HP would be my stopping point in my g35.
If I had something smaller like a Celica gt4, 350 HP would probably be everything I'd ever need.

I also had an Integra myself, and it didn't run anything like my g35.
I also had a 4efte swapped Tercel, close to 200hp, didn't pull like my G does.
However... My g35 seems to run better than most g37s I shopped for. Not every car runs the same I guess.
I bet a 250-300hp would walk my G though.

I think this is the third time this civic has been on the channel and its always impressive. It's practically undefeated on here!
