You know funny thing about that yellow and black SMART piece is that it can be easily read like the letters are in Cyrillic instead of English
Fun fact: riock is actually from slovakia and hes a dad and around thr age of 30 -40
good video have a question my brother say you have two same letters in the name does it have to be set in stone to make that letter identical to the other in size? or would be ok in negative space management to change the size to fill negative space for the two same letter in the name? Im assuming as long as it has balance that would be ok?
Thanks dude for the kind words! When you have duplicate letters, doesnt matter if they're next to one another or not, you can do whatever you want to them. For example lets take the name Rook, We can do ROOK, ROoK, RoOK, RooK, (just focus on the O not the R or K). You can really do whatever, you just have to not break any of the basics while doing it. Say we have a huge O, and a smaller o, Well we have to compensate for the lack of weight somehow. If we don't ,then suddenly the stylistic choice to have different O's is now becoming a detriment, we cant have that. The reason people normally opt to keep duplicate letters identical is because its free flow, free letter uniformity, and its super low risk. So its HUGE reward, no risk to keep them the same.

At 5:43 you say that the piece is easy to read, but what does it say? Gmlarti? What does the first one say, for that matter? Riock?
Edit, I can see that it's an S in the next piece, not a G, and probably says Smart or Smarti. I wish you could dumb it down for the beginners.
That piece there says smart. I try to keep all the videos pretty basic but if you will, forgive me for the next two or 3 vids. They're pretty recorded, but from here on out I'll keep your feedback in my head and I'll try my best to do better in pointing out the letters for people.
