I have to say as a garden designer, I'm jealous of your access to moss and other materials. You truly are an artist.
I have found if you use the 'dried' sphagnum moss that comes in the bagged blocks, if you soak that for a while and then plant it on a garden mix it will start to grow again...well it has for me....other than collecting moss myself, which can be iffy at best, it's been a reliable way for me to use moss.
@@SRM_NZ thank you, sir 🕉
Thank you!😊
I think Mr. Yamaguchi might be an artist!
I do a variety of gardening work. Often I have customers with mossy lawns. I rake up lots of moss (mostly to use as an ammendment in vegetable beds, for air layering plants, or indeed to re-grow) before I do the actual mowing.
You can grow moss anywhere...just take a parous rock, stone or brick and apply some yogurt on it. I am not making this up. I saw this tip on BBC gardener's world 😊
あなたは素晴らしいアーティストです👌👍美しく、繊細で、魔法のような庭💓ありがとう🙌
Yamaguchiさんのお庭は本当に素敵です😊
すごい👍😊私は庭とリビングルームの組み合わせが好きです👌💓ありがとう👍🙌
Omg! The garden looks like a painting! It's so beautiful and tranquil. Truly a masterpiece. A person who is so worried or upset with life would find total peace in this garden. The transformation is amazing! Thank you for sharing. Please let the gardener know he did an amazing job. You did a great job in capturing the feeling this garden has, a spirit of peace and tranquility. God bless
Thank you so much for your kind comments, they mean a lot to me!
I'll be sure to pass your message on to Ms. Yamaguchi!

The most beautiful Machiya garden I have seen yet.
That's a really nice comment to hear!
This is our guesthouse, so if you ever come to Kyoto, please stay here! 😊.
Excellent balance of stone placement/ craftsmanship and high quality pruning decisions. Every leaf, stone and section of moss adds to the deep feeling of a beautiful garden. Well Done!!!
Thanks for all the great comments!
This garden turned out really nice!😊
Mr. Yamaguchi's skills are truly amazing!
Most beautiful! I don´t need no spa anymore... just watching your channel for relaxation :)
Seeing the process of renovating the inner courtyard is satisfyingly soothing and very meditative in itself. The refined selection of elements and their thoughtful arrangement created a beautiful garden. Hoping to see more projects!
Thanks for the nice comment!
I'll be making more videos of different gardens in the future!
I'll do my best!
Hello kohei,i love your work.I wish one day i will be fortunate enough to have a small japanese garden.I adore japanese garden,it look peaceful and serene.Love from northeast, shillong, india.
OMG, I've watched all the videos so far, and what shall I say. At the beginning of this video, I expected the least. But with this final I have to say Kohei, at least for me, this was by far your best job. Such a great development. So much love for details. Just awesome. If I would be the owner, I'd be freaked out. And I also have to say a massive thank you to Matsunaga. I love your videos, your subtitles, the editing and so on. You are such a great team. Please continue with this great content! Br and massive kudos from Germany
Thank you!
I'm really happy!
The garden you build, Mr. Yamaguchi, is truly amazing!
I'll be making more videos of various garden creations in the future, so please keep watching my videos!😊
So beautiful and serene. I really like the tip about using gravel to hide the concrete foundation, it really did make a difference in making the structure and the garden feel unified.
Yes, it is!
That's my favorite part too! That one move really opened up that small space!😊
Amazingly beautiful result. I really enjoyed this garden project. Not only for its beauty and precision but in its excellent practice of motainai. It was wonderful seeing all the materials being reused to such amazing effect. I loved that moment when the garden was finished but there just had to be that one last clipping of a branch 🥰
That last scene is lovely!😊
We can feel his strong will to make this a better garden!
I have been binge-watching your videos since I discovered your channel a few days ago. It is so interesting to see how the layering of materials, top to bottom and front to back, creates the illusion of a greater amount of space than is there and it is truly magical as to how many plants and objects can be put into a small space and not feel crowded! When I lived in Lima, Peru some people had similar gardens in their homes. Most homes had no windows on the sides as they were built up against each other. Only windows/doors in the front and back (like a Kyo-Machiya) and sometimes only in the front. So each home had a central column to let in light and air and a number of my friends used the space to have a garden. In Spanish it is called a "tragaluz" but I don't know what the equivalent would be in English. Maybe "skylight".
Thanks for sharing your ideas is beautiful!
Thanks for watching my video!
I'll keep trying to make more videos!
Soothing. This garden draws you outside for private meditation. Very nice.
Stunning as usual - please keep up the good work ! And yes, I'd love you to come to Australia to do some Japanese gardening here ...
I m Italian and I m fascinating and a big fan to the Japanese people,
Always are a mix to fine art manufacturers, respect of nature, essentiality but sofisticated mix,
Maniacal perfezionist but in respect to the traditional sistema.
The incredible bilance and wabi Sabi results are a true art, are magical, mistic and done a positive serenity.
many ammiration,
Ciao

Absolutely stunning! I hope to have a beautiful garden like this one day ❤
Work hard and plan every detail , it probably take years to make a garden that has that feel and calming vibe !!
We're coming to your house to make a Japanese garden!😁
That's right!
Design and plan alone cannot make a garden look this good.
After all, the knowledge, experience, and skills of the creator are extremely important!
@@JapaneseGardenTV yes please !! That would be a Dreams Come True or i could be your apprentice for à few years , then i would really understand the making of à japanese garden !😄
So sublime. I wish you could work in Australia one day? I'd love to see how you could interpret these ancient meanings into our landscape?

I wish I could bring you to Boston to remake my garden!
We'd love to go to Boston to do some gardening!
Just discovered your channel and wow what a beautiful result. When you added the big tree I thought to much and will be overgrown in a year, boy was I wrong just perfect, and all I can say is if I had all that moss in my garden the birds would have turned over in no time looking for grubs. Question what did you do to hide the blue hose?
Fantastic job!
I think so too!
Bravo ... 2 sq mt looks like an acre
it must be really refreshing there on a hot day
The sound of the falling water really did create a refreshing effect!
The garden of a Kyoto townhouse sends cool air into the room.

It's a setting that youtube does on its own.
Such a beautiful garden in such a small space. The garden adds esthetics into the home so wonderfully.
