I don’t like any of those trucks
This things I believe.
They don’t like you either mr b00b
mike s he’s making a joke. He’s the other half of the SBG.
Scale Builder's Guild I know...lol
Impossible. Can't be noob, he spelled Turks wrong
Super stoked to see the CC01, and I totally agree with you on the building experience of Tamiya kits. The fit and finish is always great with Tamiya.
Always fun with Tamiya!
Not to mention, with the cc02 poised to (hopefully not) replace the cc01... Better get am while you can!!! That cc02 is so much FACEPALM and zero tacos.
AWESOME MI BIG BRO YOU GAVE ME INSPIRATION NOT PERSPIRATION HA LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣
I WORKING ON AN SCX24, RC4WD TF2 86 CHEVY AND AN GEN 8 BUILDERS KIT GOING WITH AN RC4WD TOYOTA 4RUNNER BODY THANKS LUV YOUR SHOWS YOU NEVER DISAPPOINT!!!

Thanks!
Great again Mr Matt has motivated me to spend all Saturday in the shop trying to catch up on my builds!!! Love the video
Nice! It worked! Shrug off those responsibilities!
Great video. You do some great work.
Cheers!
Absolutely amazing work. Keep it up.
Ha ha, thanks!
I’m here from the year 2023, you are still making these. 🛻🪨⛰🌳🌲🐐
Looks so good
Cheers!
I'm very impressed sir that is a really clean brazing job!! Love the finished look.
Thanks!!
Can't say how much I look forward to these videos. Thanks for the updates, Matt. Can't wait until next month's episode👍
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for sharing your projects.
Happy to!
Stupendo !!!...complimenti! !!...bravo !!!
Grazie!
Great information about your builds ...keep up the great content...
Will do, thanks!
I love it😍🔥👍
Thank you!
That comanche is so, so sick.
Love that engine by Mr. Comad, it’s beautiful!
It definitely is!
That lil truck does look some of the truck we have here on the islands lol
Sweet!
You really put your foot in these RC builds!
Fun trucks!
Thanks Dana! Qualifying today! No spoilers!
Thanks for the vid...reminds me of being excited for Saturday morning cartoons!
Hahha, thanks Raymond!
Great build ! Thanks for the shout out !
Thanks!
Love that Scx24 build.
You don't know how much I want a high detailed 1/10 version of the Toyota Pickup body you have on the SCX-24. Crossing my fingers
It'd be nice to see a new hard body!
im curious how this would fit..

@@scalebuildersguild Yesssss!
I really like the Comanche. I've been wanting to try those 4.19 MTR's on my F100 Ascender for a while now. Glad to see you like them. Using the actual factory paint is a fun idea.
It’s a great tire. I’m really happy with it’s looks, and it’s performance!
Nice work, like the cage on the Comanche. Can't wait for your Isuzu build.
I'm keeping it very stock, just good to have one again!
That's what I planned when I got mine and it already has 3d printed side steppers, lower link mounts and stroke extensions. FIY, Loops plans to release clear windows for the Isuzu for the end of the year.
Nice trucks. Makes me want to start something new.
Right on! That's the goal!
Nice work:)
Thanks Marc!
I really enjoy this series, great builds, lots of ideas and inspirations! The thumbs down people should take those thumbs and stick the where the sun don't shine! 👍
Ha, hater's gonna hate!
that SCX24 looks the goods.
now i see a unimog behind you.....
I’ll get to that!
I love it and want it
Nice work on all your rigs sir!
I did an Isuzu mü last winter, fun build. Don't forget to install a Yeah Racing steering rack, junfac skid plate, and some custom rear links 😁
Already got the steering rack!
If you need shelf space, I would be glad to take that Comanche off your hands! Haha! By far one of my favorites!
Ha, I'll keep that in mind.
very nice work! Could you show the vehicles you base your rigs on? If not side by side, at least a picture to compare?
Of course Robert, go back to previous episodes, I’ve shown the references.
@@scalebuildersguild Ah, missed them. I'll check them out. I love your Vids!
About time you go another Tamaya kit I just finished a Suberu Brat Blue kit. My first kit was a BMW Touring car still have it.
Amazing!
Love those trucks man. Nice job on the builds. I’m just sitting here dreaming haha
All it takes is time, practice and patience!
Scale Builder's Guild have you ever tried the rc4wd 2001 Tacoma on the trx4 sport chassis? I’m considering it but it’s pretty narrow. Wonder how much I’d have to customize the trx4 to make it fit.
@@DADRacingYT WAY TOO NARROW! Unless you're cool with that look.
@@scalebuildersguild yeah that is what im worried about. seen those online and looked fine but in person is a whole new thing
please do another video on the scx24 I love it
My profile picture is a Losi micro crawler with a 1/24 static model of a 1/1 Pathfinder I used to own.
Nice!
Oy Matt, shinchu from the forums here. I used that testors rattle can for my 79 ford tribute build. I sprayed the root beer pretty liberally (says one coat formula iirc) and it layed down pretty nice. BE CAREFUL with clear coat though. Mine got a little cloudy in some spots. Just go light from far away and should be okay. Maybe some testing on primered styrene to see what it does. Builds are looking great as usual sir! Need updates on that taco truck though! ;) thought I wouldnt say "tacos" this post, didnt you??!
Thanks for the tips my friend!
Just add a third magnet front and rear to the Comanche.
Good idea!
I wanna see more on the no prep car!
hahaha a hawaiian truck 👊🏾👊🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
I love these videos. Motivates me to clean up my workbench (I mean kitchen counter). Whats up with the Trailwalker and Humvee?
Things are happening, but those two get their own, separate videos.
I’d be interested to see what you’d do with a hobby plus CR18 now that they updated the front linkage.
Awesome jeep, cant wait till I get the money for one of those vs410 kits
Buy the chassis kit and add your own bits!
@@scalebuildersguild main reason is I also wanted those scale axles, that's why I'm was looking at the whole kit but like you said buy it as I go would be easier, lol
👍🏼
Cheers!
I know it's not AS accurate as a Custom Body 3D Printed from Unobtainium...
But what do you think of the Team Raffee Comanche Body?
Excited to see even more from the Trekker build!! 👍👍
Carmine ✈🚂🚙
It’s not a Comanche sadly. Needs the extra bit of cab behind the rear of the door, and doesn’t have it.
That's a shame...
I'm hoping for a Hardbody NOT very expensive, to replace the ProLine Lexan Comanche Body on mine...
I checked out the links you left...
Comma D?? Has several Engine options! He's got a 345 International Engine - perfect for a Scout II...
But with just a little massaging, could make an acceptable 360 AMC Engine for the Comanche/Cherokee. At least up to 1984... 😉
ON my Wish list for sure!
😍
Thanks!
not to nit pik but the front driveline output on the trecker should come out the other side. like the idea of a trekker. There is a full size restore in yellow that i see come up for sale every once in a while... scale would save a lot of $$$
Yes, and if I could have that option, I would!
Excellent video! Very tastefully built trucks, especially the Toyota Trekker, hope to see more on that build in the future. Thanks for the updates always very inspiring. How’s that SCX24 perform? Any mechanical upgrades planned for it?
I've got a lot of upgrades planned to make the SCX24 even better than it already is. Just wait!
Some very cool builds there buddy. I extended my CC01 slightly and fitted a Fall Guy themed Clodbuster shell on looked the absolute bomb but drives like crap though 🤣🤣🤣
Ha! Sounds awesome!
A MU cool AKA Mooo. A mate of mine has a full size one as his daily driver
👍🏻👍🏻🙃🙃
Nice!
The cc-01 was a fun kit to put together like you said it's not accurate or scail but fun kit to build!
I love me some Tamiya!
The scx24, yes it looks Hawaiian, having lived there for 3.5 years I can say you have it quite accurate. Just need a surfboard pad
Mahalo!
When I was in Hawaii I saw a lot of trucks that were lifted to the moon with almost stock sized tires. I was a very odd look and there were so many of them.
@@ludicrousspeed82 yes I agree.. and for some reason they were mostly toyotas and all painted dark grey..
@@davidbanaszak562 Haha yes they were!
@@ludicrousspeed82 they had stock tires for the motor vehicle inspections and probably because they could not afford the proper ones.
Lovin' the trekker! Have you thought about some 18650 cells so you can hide them in different areas of the chassis?
I hadn’t! Interesting idea!
You and your yota’s...lol scx24 looks cool! I want to get one at some point
They’re a lot of fun!
i feel they are on perpetual back order. I have my order in but am still waiting.
Loving the MJ. The grill is 97-01 style. 84-96 were the older style.
I was close!
@@scalebuildersguild
You were. Really like this series hope to see more.
Love the Comanche and the bench update! I'm working on a Proline Comanche body as we speak. Can you provide a link to the Comanche side stripe decals if you had them done.
Kind regards
JS Scale made the stripes for me.
In Hawaii old trucks like that usually have small rims
Ha, cool!
Yeah this is awesome,
But do you have the carpa yet?
Hahahaha on its way!
Put the battery on the back of the sliders
Yep, likely be where it'll go!
oh, cool a cc-01 build. please get a cc-02 when it's released (hopefully soon) and maybe build them in a side by side comparison.
On it’s way!
Aww i was hoping to hear about the progress on that big hardbody Unimog behind you. 😢
I'll get to it, eventually!
So many cool projects. Any update on the new Enduro Trailwalker?
Not done yet. When it is, I’ll post a new video go over all the changes and announce the winner.
How do you mount the toyota body
👍🏽🐒
Cheers!
I don’t the same build months ago I got to put the full motor and trans in it and full interior. I wish I could post a pic
You could on our forum!
Well, if you want a Tamiya kit, get the CC-02 when it comes out...
Way ahead of you sir...
Fantastic builds. I am really looking forward to the Trekker completion. You mentioned a source for original paints, do you have a link?
www.robertspaintcare.com/
did you have to do anything to line up the wheels with the wheel wells or did it just happen to fit that perfect?
I measured before I bought the new body.
Do you have a video on brazing?
I don’t. Not really anyway. It was featured somewhere, but I can’t remember where. I may do a stand-alone one soon.
The CC-01 was first released in 93 iirc. So it's getting closer to 30 years. You should have waited a bit for the new CC-02 to come out.
And what makes you think that that’s not already on the way? 😉
One thing I like about my Isuzu cco1 is it’s ifs like the 1.1. Adds to the realism of the body
I think you are missing the rust on the wheel wells. How is the element that you are working doing ? Like we say in florida don't eat the yellow snow ( how I need somebody to tell me what yellow snow is ?)(hahaha)
Ha! I’ll do my best to avoid it!
Good day sir what 1/24killer body is that?
Yes you're doing a CC01, is your Harley designs mate getting on board?
Probably not!
The cc01 came out in 1993 actually! It was a YJ
I was way off!
Almost... YJ was 1994. First CC01 was the Pajero. Looking at my YJ now... ready for a chassis upgrade.
Yep, December 16th 1993, but it was the Mitsubishi Pajero 58132... The Wrangler 58141 was released on September 6th 1994...
Yup that’s right, the YJ is the one I really want but they got expensive last I checked if you could find one
Nice trucks! 🤓... I’m really diggin’ the Comanche body but I cant find it anywhere.. No, I don’t like the chopped off cherokee body that can be found basically everywhere (even at walmart). They look dumb (specially the truckbed). JsScale dont show it on their website... any recommendation where to get it would be great! Thanks!
Hmm weird, perhaps Manitou only offers it now? Check mfab studio on Facebook.
Cheese & Rice! Manitou got tons of ridiculously cool stuff! Thanks a bunch “Nice Guy” Matt! 👍🏽
please do a video and or a build thread on the cc01 i keep telling myself thats my next rc but it never ends up that way
I’ll wait until the Cc02!
Has anyone tried using magnets to washers versus using magnets to magnets? Seems more forgiving polarity wise
Oh totally.
Hey, when's the running video of the scx24 coming out? Would love to see it on a 1/10 scale trail. Please please please make that vid :)
As soon as I get the next round of changes done, I will!
I just started making RC videos , your content is great! Do you have any tips? Thanks in advance
Could you be more specific? I have a video where I detail the equipment that I use if that helps.
What would i need to buy to start brazing I've never done it and would like to try. The cheapest option would be great. I'm also Canadian so anywhere in Canada to buy the stuff would be great like princess auto.
MAPP gas torch, 45 bearing silver solder, flux, safety gear, a few clamps, etc. Silver solder is hard to find. Good luck!
Late to the game on this update but so many fun projects. So is the Mu in the queue?
The CC01?
Yup, did I miss it?
Where did you say you got the Toyota body for the scx24 from. By the way really like you videos cheers
It’s a 24th scale static model kit. eBay!
@@scalebuildersguild OK thank you
Awesome video as always.
What scale is the Toyota body for the SCX24?
I have a 1/24 scale Hobby Plus truck and finding 1/24 scale model kits wheel bases are a short by 1/4-1/2 inch.
Thanks! AMT label this one as 20th scale.
Scale Builder's Guild thanks, That makes sense. Keep up the great work.
1/20 is the best size for most 1/24 trucks if you consider the HobbyPlus to be short wheelbase and the scx24 medium wheelbase. The road rippers JK fits the HobbyPlus perfectly, but there's a lot more options once you start adjusting your wheel base
Spoo76 how did you adjust your wheelbase on the Hobby Plus, did you make new rods?
@@ChrisKnowlesTube you could technically cut and sleeve the stock rods and drive shafts, but it looks much nicer making custom links. I forget what size as I've had them laying around, but 1/24 Redcat Sumo/HBX Devastator or slightly smaller would work. Check out the Micro area on RCcrawler or the Micro Rock crawler group on FB
I bought that Toyota kit to build as a static model, but I never thought about building it as a crawler...hmm. Thats really cool. btw, did you lengthen the bed or is that how it looks?
I actually Bobbed it!
What model kit was used for this? Amt?? Tamiya??
what foams do you use on the Rock Beast 4.45 tires?
Not sure, probably stock Pit Bull foams. It's not a comp truck.
@@scalebuildersguildthanks
Don't know if you'll be running 2 or 3s in the trekker build but I run 2 1800mah 2s packs and they sit under the cab on top of "sliders" I built. Check out the "JK build breakdown" video on my channel and you'll see what I mean.
I generally run 3S on everything these days. I'll check it out, thanks!
Figured that. I believe turnigy has 3s packs that aren't much thicker than these. And you're welcome.
heyo what camera do you use?
Sony a6500
Which scx24 length is the body on and what model kit is it?
AMT makes the kit.
I'm from central Pa. When and where is event if you're coming back.
I presume you're talking about ECSC? You can find all the details on Facebook. It's held in New Castle.
@@scalebuildersguild That's cool. I definitely drive there. About an hr or 2. I'm rt in the middle of the state. Thank you.
I m looking for either a 1/16 or 1/18 chassis and don’t know where to look for one
Not sure where you’d look, sorry!
Depending on your wheel base a HobbyPlus CR-18 is a great start. The axles are widened CR-24 axles, the chassis is similar but obviously longer with a few other improvements over the CR-24. Compared to a RC4WD 1/18 it's half the price with a more useable wheelbase for 1/18 bodies. If you're using a short WB or medium WB an SCX24 works well
Where can i get the toyota for my scx24? Thank you
I got mine on eBay.
Can you make a video helping us explain to the wife why we need “another” rig.
The secret is, "I bought this ages ago and when I did, it was on sale!"
I scale Hilux without leafes?? impossibel! Ha ha ha!
What 3D printer do you use? Also, would you look at a different printer if you had a choice to get another?
Tevo Tornado. I’d also look at the Prusa i3
Awesome! Thank you good sir ;)
Is there a place to get the files to print one at home
Nope!
What magnets do you use
I'm building a truck for my father
I want it scale and simple as he has never had an RC before
Rare earth magnets!
@@scalebuildersguild thank you very much
It's hopefully going to be a scale replica of his 79 bronco
Even trying to mesh some gcm coil buckets into it
Keep up the killer work
Great update! Now what about the overland Unimog, Trailwalker, C2X,....;)
Ha! All in time!
Is the scx24 body a a 1/25 or the 1/20 body i have bin looking for it. But 2 diferent one come up
1/20th
Thanx so much. Love your video 🙏🏼
