Motorcycle Air Filter Inspection & Replacement - CBR 250R

  • I inspected and replaced my air filter for my 2013 Honda CBR 250R motorcycle. This is a very simple 5-minute maintenance that anyone can perform requiring only an allen wrench and a philips screwdriver. The OEM air filter is so cheap that you can replace it every other season to ensure your motorcycle is performing at its top level. The process is very similar in most Honda sportbikes. Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for watching.

    Just did mine on my 2016 300R. Nice video! The cover also helps to keep the filter locked in because the tabs aren't the greatest security.

      John Riley As an aside, some of the more experienced riders saw this video and told me that my air filter was still good. So if yours is in a similar condition as mine in the video, you might want to hold off. Then again, the filter is cheap anyway. And thanks for watching. :)

    This is a common issue with changing the stock exhaust on a cbr250r. The only way to fix this is with a tune on the ecu or a piggyback fuel controller. What is happening is your O2 sensor is going crazy because when you changed the exhaust more air is flowing out the exhaust and the ecu reads that as an error hence shutting off the bike. I could be wrong but this is my knowledge on this issue.

    So did this fix your stall problem?
    I don't really care about the occasional stall at cold start, but I noticed that on warm days there is some loss of power during full load under wide open throttle. I'm going to try to change the filter, which has probably never been changed. This is probably the cheapest and easiest troubleshooting to begin with.

    Hey new sub here, I saw you have the helmet lock wire, the one that has two metal loops on each end at around 0.27, I wanted a similar one, any link to the product?

    • @Brownbrady
      @Brownbrady  Před 9 lety +1

      +frozenflames4 To be honest, that helmet loop is too short. I recommend getting a longer one or something like this which I prefer: amzn.to/1F2ABxg

    • @Brownbrady
      @Brownbrady  Před 8 lety

      +120次呵今天在我(祠堂) It could be anything. But rather than spending a lot of time troubleshooting, replace the air filter and see if that makes a difference. It's only $10.

    • @Brownbrady
      @Brownbrady  Před 6 lety

      I haven't done this in a while. I think there is a track that the filter needs to slide into. Look at 3:54 part of the video. Push up at the filter while sliding it in.

      +BrownBrady ahh cheers, wat do you ride now, if u don't mind me asking, have a few plans for my baby ceeber, a custom bottle cap exhaust, a piggy back ECU, head work, petal disc change, all before a k &n airfilter n exhaust change, I'm curious both these changes only do I need to do the ecu remap like immediately?
