- Here's how I did an oil change on my Honda CBR 250R motorcycle. Thanks to CBR250.net for the wealth of information I received from their experts to put this DIY together. The tools I used included:
1. a rear bike stand
2. an oil pan
3. a funnel
4. gloves
5. 5 mm allen key
6. 12 and 8 mm sockets
7. socket wrench
8. new engine oil
9. oil filter
10. compression washer
11. and oil cap gasket
Torque settings:
Oil Drain Bolt: 18 pound foot
Oil Filter Cover Bolts: 9 pound foot
Don't forget to dispose of your motorbike oil properly instead of dumping it in the sewer. If you liked this video, please hit that like button, or subscribe to my channel and I'll see you in my next video. Ride safe, and thanks for watching. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
This could not have been produced any better than you have done. It was clear in sight and sound. There were multiple shots for clarity and interest, the pacing was spot on, and you included every step. You are a natural born director!
Man! Right to the point, no unnecessary talking, informative and enjoyable. I wish more DIY bike videos were as professionally done!!
This should be the standard of DIY videos. Step by step and direct! Awesome work bud!

Thank you Brown Brady, I look forward to your maintenance vlogs as they are truly Canadian in content. Good tip on the new oil filter needing to be loaded and then the engine topped up. I may have missed this but not now.

Gracias por siempre bueno hombre :D . Thanks forever good man.
De nada señor.
Great video, the best CBR250R oil change video on CZcams. I changed my oil and filter a couple of weeks back and forgot to undo the filler cap before I removed the sump plug, made a bit of a mess!
+Munday182 Thank you for the kind words. Yes, that has happened to me in the past as well, especially when I change the oil in my car. The good thing about changing the oil on a bike is that it's so easy to clean up the mess.
Make video for changing front and rear disk brake oil and coolant separately of CBR 250R ... It was helpful video..
Great video! Changed my oil today and had a couple of comments. (1) I partially removed both middle cowls to allow full removal of under cowl. Not too hard, didn't take much time and gave me great access to oil filter. (2) I used all dealer parts. Dealer pulled part number 15410-KYJ-902 for the oil filter number which did not match what I found online initially. I called the dealer and checked online and confirmed 15410-KYJ-902 is a direct replacement for 15410-KYJ-901. It fits just fine. (3) As recommended in video, I too recommend using a funnel to pour new oil in (after trying without and spilled some). (4) Old crush washer on my bike was wrong size and was fairly difficult to remove i.e. inner diameter too small. This is why I tend to avoid dealers for service work. Why pay $90 labor for someone to use the wrong parts for such a simple task? Not the first time I've had someone use wrong parts for an oil change. Geez. (5) Didn't find online prices much cheaper for parts so purchasing at dealer seems to be best choice for me. (6) Bike on rear stand works well for this task, allows a normal drain pan to fit beneath bike and provides a little more working room (can put kickstand in up position).
wow neat nd clean video
Thanks.
Nice video 😍😍👏
well such a nice informative video to watch...
having a 2013 cbr 250r myself made me love watching your videos..
hoping to see more videos relating to cbr 250r.
need to know when to change the oil .. i mean after how many kms?
I change my 2011 cbr250r oil once a year at the end of the year..whether it needs it or not :)
needed a little refresher course before getting to it this fall...nice vid..very well made..subscribed..
+spdklls7 I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks for watching.
Bruh, and to think I was about to spend $170 to get this done......your video is perfect
Damn, they almost got me for $150 and I said the same thing after watching this. I bought supplies to do this two times for less than what I was about to pay for one oil change and chain cleaning...
Are the same parts for a 150R. Great video. We live in Bermuda where the max engine size allowed is 159cc.
Good video....
Thanks for the video, helped immensely. I bought 1 litre of motor oil and although I could see it going in, the lvl never rose to the markers. How much is needed? I read up that capacity is 1.5 liters.
here in brazil honda recommends using 10w30. When changing oil, use a total of 1.5L. many are having problems with lack of lubrication in the engine.
Good 💯
Suppose
I don’t hve
Gas kit
Any problem? can I use agin and clean old gaskit for use
Great Work Brother
+Guru Kumar Thanks!
my best ever subscription +BrownBrady
+law breaker Awesome! Thanks for the subscription and ride safe.
Great video! I have the exact same bike :) what stand do you you / where did you get it?
Hey @BrownBrady, is it ok in your opinion to add some oil into the oil filter and then put it in to avoid air bubbles? I usually do that. Also, have you tried Motul 300v10w40?
Great video Boss
+Akshay Chalke You're welcome!
Great video
Question
I just did an oil change on my cbr250r and there is steam coming from the engine when you turn it off.
It comes for few seconds when you turn off the engine.is that normal.what would the issue be??
thanks
Tnq brother
Where did you get the bike stand with the flat pegs on the side
awesome video man... whens the next one? been a while..
Thank you for the video. Not spending $65 per oil change
Does the oil line still read accurate if the bike is tilted forward ?
Is it possible to change oil filter later as it was not available during engine oil change?
Seems your bike like your family member.. So clean and well maintained. I am planning to missing company free servicing because they messed up with my brakes and chain. Actually they applies engine oil as a chain lube. I scold them all when I seen this.
Please do a video on changing brake rubber for cbr250r
is there any way to put the oil filter on backwards
Can you just use a front stand to raise the bike or do you have to use a rear stand?
