Sheriff departments are tasked with security in a courtroom, were they on duty or off? I don't have the information to answer your question, it depends.
My prior statement still stands. But now, I am wondering why you think the Bill of Rights is about giving the government more powers than the citizens of the States and private persons on American soil.
Was the FBI there arresting any of the constables that showed objection, like the offices do with parents at the school board meetings.
Sounds like a violation of the 1st Amendment since we have the right to petition our government to redress our grievances with them.

Oh spare me. That's just not true. If you are threatening or causing such a disturbance to stop all proceedings yes you can be removed or detained or arrested. They don't just arrest everyone for no good cause. Often they are ordered to remove the more rowdy. Booing while a Judge is leaving does not rise to that level.

I had to pay over $80.00 so the constable who gave me a ticket for out of date registration could get dismissed. technically yes.. if they were not on duty at the time of the meeting they can wear what they want and they may have their time to speak.. however if they are on duty and are being paid at the time of the meeting they forfeit their first amendment right until their shift is over.. 🐧..

by accepting employment the employee has agreed to surrender their 4th amendment right while on business property.. 🐧

My take is that they showed up in uniform to make it clear how many of them were there. I think it was also a statement of solidarity rather than a "show of force", as you want to believe. If they were in "civilian" clothing it would be difficult to distinguish them from other people. I have been to many board of supervisors or city council meetings and have noticed that groups frequently attempt to identify themselves as a unit, even if it is only by wearing the same color clothing, carrying banners or streamers or wearing an identifying tag. You'd deny the officers the display of their profession, a profession of which they are uniformly (excuse the pun) proud. If you come back with a statement that they could have come in uniform without their duty weapons, let me tell you that it would be the same as saying that our law enforcement professionals can't be trusted with weapons - and that's simply socialist bullshit. If you find that last statement hard to grasp, read Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals", the guidebook for revolutionaries attempting to destroy a society from within.

The current police budget is the most funded in Florida and around this country. Many of the programs in Florida to help citizens are UNDERFUNDED and or have been completely stripped of funding. As a result, making poverty and the conditions that poverty creates worse. You people will learn one way or another lol

Not only cry when someone shows them no respect, but sometimes illegally arrests someone over it. There is a recent interaction on CZcams where a cop issued a ticket to a motorist for flashing his lights to warn others of a speed trap. When the cop handed the driver a ticket for it the driver laughed and then the cop arrested him for laughing. Never heard of a crime for laughing and bruising a cop's ego.

Except in the case of those pushing defunding you would have no job to go to if they had their way. What you fail to realize is that the police are being undermined constantly either from these political types or from the woke judges and DAs.
The officers left the meeting with no “resolution” - they have plenty of “resolve.” You were close, but close only counts in horsehoes and hand grenades.
There would have been a resolution if Cagle and Ramsey bothered to show up for the last three meetings.

If I were a county commissioner sitting on a 5 person panel where I’m outnumbered 3-2 by corrupt career politicians, I’d skip the meeting too! It’s the only way to keep them from passing a budget that would further cut law enforcement funding. They’ll tell you they’re trying to give officers a raise, but they leave out the fact that in doing so they’re decimating the budget for new hires whom we desperately need.
But hey even if you never wake up, don’t worry. The ineptitude, corruption, and moral bankruptcy of the left is waking up plenty of others in your stead and their voices will be heard when they vote. Bye bye, lefties!!

Today's police are those who watched TV police dramas thinking their career will be like that when in reality, it's mostly boring.
By the way, did you see how the cowardly cops didn't do a thing at the Uvalde Texas elementary school shooting. Those blue Cowards did nothing and even tazed, pepper sprayed and arrested parents trying to save their kids. Unfortunately, there are too many cowards in law enforcement. Sadly, it was US Border Patrol that took out that shooter. It's out of their jurisdiction but they didn't sit around while a bunch of Blue Cowards Matter were scared to do their jobs.
All I and my family members who are in law enforcement can say is if you can't protect the public and defend the constitution while conducting yourself in a professional manner you have no business working in law enforcement. Police have become so incompetent that I witnessed a sheriff's deputy miss hitting a wounded deer from a car deer accident from close range. Maybe that's why they unload 20 rounds into someone because they are either poor shots or poor in intelligence. Most likely it's both.

I left the city and moved away,, still in NY. I'm so glad I now live in a private village. We have our own police department and our own constables and they do the most amazing job. Never, ever do we have any crime or any problems, they're everywhere. The men and women on these forces do not take any bs from anyone and keep us safe. I thankful for our own private mayor of the village for keeping our community so beautiful and do everything for us neighbors. Once and only once this past summer losers tried coming on down and were immediately followed, watched and intimidated and ended up leaving. It's good knowing they know they can't get away with anything around here. Maybe that's what more areas should do. Start breaking it down to smaller areas with people who run that particular area instead of this disgusting Mayor Adams who ignores the crime everywhere. It's been working here for us for many of years just a thought people can fight for.
