since you choose to misinterpret the story, here it goes - the point is that Republicans need to recognize that it is a better strategy to criticize her actual track record (which is abhorrent) rather than pointing out that she was installed with zero votes or qualifications as a result of left wing government DEI policies which are well documented. in general the majority of people reject her for both reasons (according to every poll), but her track record is far more damaging and should be the main focus.

I certainly think Harris is qualified and I intend to vote for her, however the Republicans don't "think" she is a DEI hire. Everyone who remembers what Biden said in 2020 *knows* that she is DEI hire. Biden explicitly announced that he was going to have a "black woman" as his VP. He did the same thing when he put Ketanji Brown Jackson on the Supreme Court. In fact, just a few weeks ago the Biden campaign was still bragging about putting a "black woman" on the Supreme Court. Biden hasn't hidden this at all. He seems proud to be openly picking black women for positions of power based solely on them being black women and not because he feels that they are otherwise the best people for the job. It's unfortunate because if he hadn't openly admitted to that then it would actually appear that they were chosen because Biden thought they were the most qualified. This was an entirely unforced error on Biden's part.
I have never been a registered Republican or Democrat but always an Independent voter. I first voted for Ross Perot for President, and I have voted for both Republicans and Democrats over the years. I am a military veteran who was part of the Cold war, was there in the Persian Gulf after Saddam invaded Kuwait, and also in many military campaigns afterwards for this country. I agree with some areas on both sides, but the deal breaker for me, was when Trump did not step down, but led an insurrection against our govt. I have watched so many people sacrifice their lives, mental /physical health, familes, and relationships in service for this country, but he could not sacrifice his selfish ambitions in the peaceful transition of power.
I will be voting for Democracy and against Project 2025 this year, I hope you do the same!
