The family had a place, the comrades had a place and the judge was out of place. The family lived with him, the comrades worked with him so how is it that she has a deserving presence at this officers service? Complete disrespect, they should have had her removed. If she shows up at a random funeral and sit up front with the family it's the same type of disrespect and disregard for the deceased. She was welcomed but not to be in the forefront with his loved ones, that's definitely disrespectful!

He was a man of law, honor, and Vietnam Vet. He also loved Hidalgo.

Police officers are killed every year because Harris County judges let criminals out on bail when they could keep them incarcerated, and then they have the nerve to grandstand at the funerals of officers who deaths, on some occasions, were caused by the decisions of these liberal judges. For those of you that just don’t see why the problem is…..you have likely never been in charge of a funeral, or had to make all those final decisions for a very close loved one. Because you would know that having someone, for the purposes of the metaphor imagine it is that cousin, aunt, or sister in law that you can’t stand…..now imagine this person who never visited, never called, hell they didn’t even bring a casserole, but they want to sit on the front pew, or they make a big show of crying and wailing like a banshee and you KNOW it’s an act….that is basically what this woman did. She had no standing with the family to be there, she is not a cop, not a real judge (no law school for her), and I don’t see her getting invited out for drinks with the men and women in blue. I know politicians don’t get this, on either side of the aisle really, but sometimes there is honor in taking a seat and just listening. What she did, was dishonorable.

As a cop's kid, I can tell you I watched for every nuance at my Daddy's funeral & if she would have pulled that, as his daughter, I would have said something or sat her ass down. This was the family's time & the LEO's time to remember & grieve. Not her time for a photo op!
