In the video the big black cop was the only one who came in to take the inmate down without hitting him and use his own body to cover the inmate.

If he hasn't already, this officer should apply for a C.O. position in a prison. They need some real bad and he has a lot of energy to be one. Then he can see how well all that energy he has really works out for him in there. With those that's NEVER going home.

I was choked up by a HC CO for no reason. Boy, I felt provoked, oppressed and humiliated.
I know multiple people who have had the same happen friend. You’re lucky to be alive.

You ant lying and even after this situation, that correction officer would still get jumped or stabbed some other day by a bunch of inmates for his behavior because inmates don't tolerate correction officers disrespecting them and could easily make one day the last day you live and many of them have nothing to lose by doing this. That foolish officer is going end up learning the hard way and other officers are not going to wanna work with him anymore because that makes them a target for death as well.

We realize that there's this thing called human rights and the constitution that says inmates aren't supposed to be abused by guards. If guards are too emotionally weak to handle words they shouldn't have taken that job. No go be a good boy and lick the boots of the government some more.

this has been going on for over 40 yrs or more. I have had some visits to Harris county when I was younger, they did not have cams and they made sure you knew it

Garcia started this a long time ago. When getting searched against that wall he says " If you move while I'm searching through your shoes I'm going to take that as aggression fo what I gotta do ". Thus giving justification to do what this guy did. This happened to a guy right beside me that was mentally handicapped but, Garcia was the aggressor. The door to the next cell is on that wall.

I have met many people from Houston the stories that they have shared with me about the treatment of inmates in the Harris co jail it’s scary to understand how these people are treated once inside that building I have heard about multiple murders that were committed by CO’s and covered this is horrific and sad to uphold and protect what a joke imagine what hasn’t been shown I’m ashamed of this and angry something needs to be done!

A lot of the Harris county sheriffs are themselves young dudes, many in their early to mid 20's.
So could be a case of this deputy knowing the inmate from the streets and they had some prior friction; the deputy was trying to establish himself as the head honcho and ended up taking whatever issues he had with the inmate too far..
Every city/county jail has incidents like this every other day, deputies whooping up on inmates, so this in of itself is not that big of a deal.
Unless the inmate suffered grievous bodily harm and was really busted up bad, this lawsuit will probably not go to far.
Definitely not the $750k-$1M the attorney on the panel says will be paid out.
He might get a couple thousands in compensation($10-$20k) and dropping of some of the charges he was originally booked on(long as they're not violent felonies)..

What’s crazy is I was there unfortunately.. that was in classification and they whooped his ass then threw him in the holding cell. Guard started it by approaching him and pulling his hoodie like he was a child then dude started swinging like he should
