Who is your favorite of the Three Stooges?
Shemp Howard
I always liked Curly! 😊
curly is the best!
Curly! Woo-woo-woo-woo-woo!
I'm going to have to say Larry because he inspired me to want to take violin lessons in school.
I’m so pleased they are finally being acknowledged for the brilliant comedians they were , loved them as a child 🥰
Finally?
Everyday after school I watched the 3 Stooges. I can't believe my mom let my brother and me watch. I was always a Curly fan.
@Green Sneakers & Hot Dogs Early 60s for me.
My brother and I watched them on AMC every Sunday morning before church.
That was before helicopter parenting.
Snowbird, was your mother secretly a Stooge fan?
@@melissacooper4282 No, she actually thought they were silly.
I was a kid when I first discovered the Stooges in the early 2000's and I have absolutely loved them ever since.
I can remember them on reruns. Every Saturday I would sit on pins and needles waiting for the show
The Three Stooges are very popular in my family! In fact, my father nicknamed his grandchildren (my two boys and my nephew), Moe, Larry, and Curly! ❤
I've loved the stooges since I was a kid but watching this mas made me look up old acts on youtube. Thanks for giving me the nostalgia.
Disorder in the court,Malice in the palace and Sing a song of song of six pants is the best way to lift your spirits.
I remember watching The Three Stooges as a kid as part of the Superstation Fun Time Show. I owe it to Larry because watching him play his violin in some of the shorts inspired me to take violin lessons in school.
I'm 64 and still love The Three Stooges. My sister thinks I'm nuts and she can't believe I think they still are hilarious. My favorite has always been Curly.
Once hilarious, always hilarious. Curly is my favorite, too.
@@joeymorvant161 We've got good taste.😀

AMC Needs The Three Stooges Marathon on TV with Moe Larry Curly And Shemp Howard
Started many a school day during the70s and early 80s with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart thanks to The 3 Stooges. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.
Yes.
I remember my half-day before before school and watching the Stooges and the lil Rascals.
Larry is my favorite. His moments of humor on screen always cracked me up the most! Of course they were all hilarious 😂
There are even a few promo pictures taken of the Stooges incarnation of Moe, Curly Joe and Emil Sitka. Emil's Stooge name was to be "Harry" and he was to be the onscreen brother of Larry. Interesting choice of names as Moe was billed as "Harry" Howard in the Stooges first feature film Soup To Nuts. Surprising that you missed Joe Palma in the list of Stooges, as he filled in as the "fake Shemp" in a handful of shorts before Joe Besser joined the act.
Bet that fanclub is about to get bigger after all the Google searches
Curly was so extremely funny !!
I didn't realize Shemps greatness till I was older and my loyalty towards Curly.
I would like for the children of today could appreciate The Three Stooges the way we did, even through the 1970's. They should have a slot on Saturday.
My favorite was Curly. 😁👍
@Green Sneakers & Hot Dogs Shemp was ok. 🙂👍
Always came home to watch them and even today I still watch them.
The Reason I Watched Ed Edd N Eddy Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Workaholics the iconic trio right here
Awesome !!!
Thanks for this very informative video 📹 . I learned some new things, such as Shemp appearing with Abbot and Costello.
They cameo'd in It's A Mad Mad Mad Mad World too.
I like how the "Premium Coffee" has the same stock image upon it as you see upon every Three Stooges Stooges merchandise.
I liked them so much I bought the complete DVD collection
That is BY FAR my most prized of any collection of DVDs that I have!
@@mulehead126 the best set to have is the 3 stooges ultimate collection it may have cost me but it was worth it because of a bonus disc of stooge rarities. I bought it at F.Y.E. a store in the mall in the town I live in.
@@herbertorendorff6323 correct! The Complete Collection has just their shorts, while as you said the Ultimate Collection has those rarities and other films (such as some Shemp solo shorts). The Ultimate Collection is what I have, and after spending years taping shorts off TV, I treasure my Ultimate Collection! I got it from Amazon years ago for only about $35!
I have the complete collection, too.
THE THREE STOOGES;ARE MY FAVORITE;AND I LOVED THEM ALL; GODBLESSYOU GUYS:❤❤😊😊
Curly was my favorite
Know what’s great about the three stooges
In the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s when the Three Stooges were at their peak, actors didn’t make that much money, probably less than regular jobs, and the fact that the stooges worked their asses off to make us laugh regardless of the money and worked as if they were making 30 Million an episode just to make us laugh, God rest their souls
When Larry plays with violin or piano in the films..it was for real!!
Thank you.
Very interesting

Curly married 4 times; 3 divorces and his 4 wife survived him.
To avert a legal hassle regarding Jerks of All Trades, Columbia Pictures licensed a package of 30 Three Stooges two-reelers to ABC.
I always get the three stooges and the marx brothers mixed up.
I'm one of those who actually like Joe Besser as the third Stooge. True, he may have his detractors even after his death in 1988 but as an established comic, he brought his own unique style to the act. Later in life, Besser expressed some dismay that people only recognized him for his brief tenure with the Three Stooges. However, he eventually softened, realizing that the act continued to bring him his greatest exposure. Whereas with Curly Joe DeRita, although he enjoyed working with Moe and Larry and made a living doing it, he was not a fan of the Stooges' humor. He once said in an interview, "I don't think the Stooges were funny. I'm not putting you on, I'm telling the truth-they were physical, but they just didn't have any humor about them. Take, for instance, Laurel and Hardy. I can watch their films and I still laugh at them and maybe I've seen them four or five times before. But when I see that pie or seltzer bottle, I know that it's not just lying around for no reason. It's going to be used for something. I was with the Stooges for 12 years and it was a very pleasant association but I just don't think they were funny." Despite his indifference to the Stooges' style of slapstick, he had nothing but respect and appreciation for the trio.
Curly was THE stooge
That he was!
Emile never gets his credit as a stooge. Larry will always be my #1 Stooge.
I Love the Three Stooges.
Will you do the Marx brothers?

Just Say Moe
Um….. those weren’t “phobias”. The poor guy. 😢
Why do many good people die young, and Evil People generally live into their 90’s?

How could you possibly not mention Vernen Dent? He was the main character who always had to put up with with The Stooges.
Not to mention Bud Jamison or Christine McIntyre.
Curly but without more and Larry , he wouldn’t be as funny
🧦
to bad you did not make mention of any of the black actors.
Comedians are sad clowns. Laughing on the outside, crying on the inside.
Ain't that the truth!
Moe Howard was not that shrewd of a businessman regarding their act. During their 24 years of making short subjects for Columbia pictures. The stooges never got a pay increase the entire time. And they had no idea how popular they actually were.
True. Harry Cohn really took advantage of them during their time of working at Columbia Pictures. He never told them how popular they really were because he didn't want to give them a raise. And they never asked for a raise because Cohn had connections with gangsters. Moe didn't want to rock the boat.
FALSE. The Stooges each made approximately 20K per year, which is the equivalent of close to $400,000 in today's dollars. And that was for working for only 6-7 weeks per year filming shorts. They were free to leave every year when their contract ran out but knew they had it good. And they were well aware of their popularity, their personal appearance tours drew big crowds - and brought in a lot of money. The bio-movie made several years ago perpetuated many myths about the Stooges that simply aren't true.
@@melissacooper4282 not true. The Stooges knew full well how popular they were, their annual personal appearance tours drew big crowds and they were treated like the stars that they were. They each made in the equivalent of close to $400K per year per Stooge in today's dollars, and that was for working 6-7 weeks per year at Columbia. Harry Cohn loved the Stooges, felt they were a good luck charm.
@Paul Kostiak which had nothing to do with Moe or his management of the Stooges. No actors received royalties for pre-1960 films.
@@mulehead126 Where did you get your information from. I got mine from a biography I read of the stooges. Written by Moe Howard’s daughter.
And even back then $20,000/yr was underpaid compared to what other Hollywood stars were making. And don’t forget that money was split three ways. Also they worked far more on their shorts than six or seven weeks a year.
And they received the same amount from Columbia every year which in terms of inflation which you brought up is in effect a cut in pay every single year.
$400,000 would be correct in terms of 1934 dollars in 2021. But in 1957 when they were let go by Columbia Pictures that is under $200,000 in 2021.
They are inferior to Laurel and Hardy.
They're inferior to no comedy team.
The three stooges wouldn’t make it in this day j age. They honestly wasn’t funny at all just dumb. That type of comedy wouldn’t go nowhere these days.
They would not be considered politically correct these days.
@@melissacooper4282 Yee I ain’t too sure bout that but more to the point
Then go watch something else and let the rest of us enjoy them! Much of today's "comedy" isn't even that funny.
@@mulehead126 you said it!
