In this clip, Vlad spoke about 32-year-old comedian Teddy Ray’s recent passing, and Aries admitted that he didn’t know Teddy, who passed away from a pool accident. Vlad then spoke about the importance of learning to swim as an adult, and Aries revealed that he knows how to swim, as well as his kids. From there, Aries spoke about upcoming tour dates, and Aries went on to speak about people trying to cancel him over his Lizzo comments. My great uncle was drunk af and almost drowned in the shallow end (4ft) of our pool when I was a teenager. He had his legs up on a floater and was flailing around instead of just flipping off of the thing. We had to jump in and rescue him. Then he went inside the house and fell, and left a big dent the size of his bald head in the wall. We left him right there on the floor to sleep it off.

I'm a Haitian-American kid from Brooklyn, and I've always had a fear of the deep waters. I remember as a child being in the car with my parents, driving over the Brooklyn Bridge, and Verranzano Bridge, or being on the Staten Island ferry and looking into the dark ocean with extreme fear! The ocean will devour ANYTHING in its path. Anyone, regardless of how good of a swimmer you are, will perish in the ocean. It's an endless abyss. And a monster!

THANK YOU!!! Aries actually remembers when Andrew Dice Clay got canceled! I tell people the story and they don’t believe me but because I actually liked Dice Clay that whole saga was etched in my memory. I remember when He was on Arsenio Hall and he was literally pleading with people to understand that his Andrew Dice Clay thing was an act. It was insane how people thought he was really the dude he portrayed on stage.

I was never taught to swim as a child and as I grew into an adult fear kicked so I was afraid to take lessons. I am now a parent to a 2 year old who I just signed up for his first ever swim class. He is my motivation to take adult swim lessons because I will feel like the most terrible mother in the world if my son was drowning and I can’t save him. I’d jump in to save my child don’t get me wrong but we’d both die if no one is around who can swim jumps in to save us.

As someone who took adult swim lessons, it's worth it. The instructors are trained to make you comfortable about it. You might grow old and not be able to hit the gym, but you'll always be able to swim. Bless

Feel the same way, got a 15-month old and I couldn't imagine not being able to at least try to save him. I was never taken to a pool growing up, it's not that hard to miss out on that.
My uncle could swim like a fish and he drowned in a lake on the 4th of July. the whole family was there my grandmother which is his mom, his 6 month old son, his siblings, and the nieces and nephews.

I'm 31 and I can't swim. Doesn't mean I couldn't drown in the bathtub or something because you just never know. However, I don't go to pools. Simple as that. About four years ago, I went to a pool that was part of my last apartment complex.
Instead of swimming, I stretched out on one of the chairs close to the wall in my jeans and sneakers. Only reason I went to that area was because my sister and nephew wanted to swim and one of the apartment renters had to be present haha hence why I was chilling far from the water.

My stepdaddy taught me and my younger brother how to swim by throwing us in the middle of the bayou and we had to get back to the bank the best way we could. The swimming back wasn't too bad, the hard part was getting out of those potato sacks he tied us in.

Anyone can't learn how to swim. I joined the Navy at 17. I took lesson before boot camp and I never learned. In boot camp I was taught water survival skill but I still can't swim.

In reference to the guy that fell into the pool and drowned at the pool party and the girl who drowned trying to save him.
When someone is in the processes of drowning, they are in full panic mode. Flailing around under the water trying to do anything to get to the surface. It is very possible that the girl who jumped in knew how to swim but during the sheer panic the guy was experiencing he prevented her from resurfacing herself.
It happens quite often surprisingly. Its quite hard to swim back to the surface with an addition 200 pounds of dead weight basically. If the guy didnt know how to swim he, wasn't going to make it any easier on the girl trying to bring him back to the top for air.

I auditioned for the Andrew Dice Clay episode of the Vice show he's talking about. Was one of the finalists for it too. After watching it I'm glad I didn't get the role cause they really did Dice dirty in it. Shame his career went down the way it did, but I'm glad he's getting back into things.

Yo grew up in Harlem, and we didn't have access to pools, but I went to an outreach program and Mr. Santos thank you for teaching me how to swim Sir. You're a blessing to this world, taking us to see the Rockettes and my first baseball game even tho it was a Mets game 🙄..... 😂🤣 I kidding I joke.
