- SEPST #32109-08C - Stage 1 Screamin Eagle pro tuner custom Map install. Updating my bikes ECM custom map after the gasket replacement and installing a remap from data recorded on a ride out using the Screamin Eagle EFI Super Tuner.
The tuning procedure includes these basic steps:
1. Select and load the bikes ECM map onto the VCI (the orange box)!
2. Record data to evaluate the calibration - go for a ride using a variety of
throttle positions for about 1 hour.
3. Use the data gathered to modify the ECM map.
4. Load the modified calibration.

Hey Chris , I thought I was watching Eric O at South main auto..only he does cars.. really interesting video buddy what a great bit of kit ..i like to tune old school with carbs etc ..but if that's how it works on modern bikes then that's brilliant..to be able to 're map at home is great..
I have a constant battle with modern vehicle tech ..i get to fix everyone's cars so have to use scan tools under duress
I keep telling people I stopped being a mechanic in the late 80s but they just assume I can do it..well I guess i can mostly ..

Thanks for sending me the link to download the software to run the SE Super Tuner Pro, I was pretty much dead in the water without it! My 2012 Electraglide Classic with SE Air Clear, Vance and Hines Power Dual headers, and 4" Rinehart Racing slip-on's is running great now!

Thanks for sharing your information. My son needed to know exactly the information that you provided. Except that the training video links are not working in 2021,but that's not your fault.
Thank you, glad it helped, I think Harley have stopped supporting the SEPST because the software download link no longer works, I guess the training videos went the same way. Help still works (far right) along the top of the menu bar. On a side note if you have the original .exe file that you click on to install I’d copy that and keep in a safe place because if you change computers you won’t be able to load the program again without it. Mark, yest I did. The Tuner from H. D. Makes the bike too lean, they had not activated ARC also. I changed values on map and Bike runs a lot better and smoother. For example, does your Bike run at 30mph in 3rd gear smoothly and no slight hesitation? I have done two of my friends also changing there Map. They are astonished at the difference. I can now run at 40mph in 3rd gear. There is hardly loss in mpg.

Yes, just put the SEPST into record mode and go for a ride, it records for about an hour. You can start and stop recording as many times as you like. So if you recorded 5 files you will see then when you re-connect to the computer, select all 5 and the program will update the ECM. It’s a good idea to listen to all of the help files before you start, just to get an idea of how to go about the update.
I do mine every so often but forget what to do so have to go through the help files again. Hope it goes well and thanks for watching. Ride safe, Chris

Hi there from the Washington state, I have a question regarding the recorded map after a test ride, when its uploaded on the bike did you manually change anything or stay with what the VCI changed? I have a bike that back fires alot and wanted to eliminate or minimize that issue. any suggestions?
Hi, I left the map settings to the software, I wouldn’t even know where to begin altering things. I guess you could do several tuning runs and see if that helps. A lot of on-line searching/forums might throw up an answer but I wouldn’t touch anything unless I was 100% sure, apart from that I can’t help. Good luck and sorry I can’t be of more help, Chris

Hi, I don’t know anything about the street tuner but think Harley still support them, my tuner is the Screamin Eagle Pro Super Tuner (SEPST) that Harley no longer support. Maybe try Harley. All the best, Chris

Great video. Can you tell me where I can get the screamin eagle pro super tune software, I've tried the site you recommend many time but no luck.
Can you please let me know where I can download it from please.
I also rang Harley Davidson after purchasing the cables from them, guess what they don't know where I can get the software and they don't sell this tuner no more and then trying to sell me a vans and hines fuel pack for 400 sheets.
So do I just use this orange box as a paper weight and use the cables as a noose to hang the very nice man at Harley Davidson.

looking your afr , seem it is too lean, am i right ?
I’m afraid I don’t know much about it, I just let the software do the adjustments, however I’ve always felt my bike runs a little rich but the plugs look as they should so I don’t know. Thanks for watching, Chris
How can i renew super tuner pro ?
Sorry I dont understand your use of (renew), you can down load the program from the website I give in the video, if you mean the orange box once it has been "married" to a bike that is it, they cannot be re-set though I have read that some people say they can reset them for a fee I have never tried it. Hope that is of some help. Chris

The same thing happened to me, I had to re-install Windows and hadn’t saved the SEPST software installer in a safe place and HD has stopped all support including the help videos. Took me ages to find someone who was willing to share a copy, send me an email to chris@bikervation.co.uk and I’ll see what I can do to help

Hello chris, glad i found you and this vlog, i recently aquired a switchback and a orange box for it. I cant understand why you are riding and capturing how you ride, isnt the idea to improve the map to enhance performance, what am i not grasping?? Rgds
Hi, Thanks for watching, you put the SEPST in data gathering mode then go for a test ride while recording, trying to hold the throttle at constant revs for about a minute in each rev range i.e. 1500 rpm, 2000 rpm, 2500 rpm Etc. When you get back you download data and the program works out the best settings then remaps the ecm. You can do this as many times as you like and refine the map. Hope that helps. Regards Chris
