Lmao, im kinda mad they got rid of chunkloaders in the newest update since in the future who knows whats gonna come? Ive been asking for a block that does whatever right or left click would do (aka give it a diamond pickaxe and set it to left click at a cobblestone machine and it'll auto mine, which would be really useful for autoquarries and house builders in the future but rip. ( I know a mod has them, but I want them in vanilla btw. )
Isn't that already exist? For example you make cobblestone generator and blow them with tnt duping, or you can make flying machines that drill holes and make perimeter. Of course it wont be massive since we dont have chunkloaders.
@@ryanstewart531 you'd have to make such blocks incredibly underpowered, because players would give those blocks effi 5 dura 3 silk mending diamond picks, set up a contraption that lets those mine till the pick is almost broken and sell the stone to a villager, repairing the pick while doing so.
@@ryanstewart531 There are TNT mining machines. The reason there isn't a "clicker" block in vanilla is because it would make so many redstone contraptions obsolete, and honestly make the game kinda trivial. Infinite resources for basically free.

This video was heavily rushed. 2No2Name did probably 90% of the code digging and instrumental to get this working. I couldn't get the credits in the end to show that as it was rushed out. Hope this comment helps point that out!
FAQ: Command blocks are used to place the ghasts in minecarts in the correct spot. Forgot to remove them for the recording.
I had a 1.7 world in wich I built a with farm, witchs spawned every time I pressed Esc, I always thought it got corrupted or something, until now.
Just want to know how it works

From an in-universe perspective, this basically creates witches by tearing a hole in reality.
One of the things I find most interesting about this is watching the evolution of mob farms, and technical Minecraft overall. That short history of mob farms video was such a trip down memory lane for me, I've watched every single one of those videos when they were released, even the Etho and Kiershar ones. But just in the short overview of the farm, it is easy to track the origin of each component to the video where it was first shown off. The Etho hopperclock, the water streams. The widened drop shafts, the use of the nether, the chunkloading, all culminating in this... End of Farms. Incredible.
Was a lot of fun working on this!

Shortax I understand now, just saw gnembon’s video
from what I could tell it seemed as though they essentially used a large number of chunk loaders ( I believe I heard 900) to increase the spawn rates to ridiculous numbers, and then made it so that the only spawnable space was one above a witches hut (hence purely witches). Notice how they were on glass the whole time? that was because they had tried limiting the spawning area to that singular location. In addition the ghasts were used just to efficiently push mobs into the center of the portals so more could spawn.
As to the fine intricacies of how everything works... That would probably need a video to explain, but I hope this is enough to possibly explain it.

You should probably test it on Spigot in creative first. Specifically, there is a setting moderators can change related to the generation of woodland mansions that can break it.

I have no idea of vanilla but this video showed me that it can actually be more insane than modded!
The extremely compact explanation is, when a new chunk is loaded the RNG for the entire world is reset. This means that with some cleverly set up chunkloaders you can ensure that a new chunk is loaded every game tick, meaning that every random process during that tick will have the same result every single time. That includes mobspawning, meaning you can manipulate the type of mob spawned and predict the position where the spawning will occur.
