I love your Sonar program along with the pitch program for Ghost Town hunting in the western USA. Most of the time I use my Deus in Goldfield for gold prospecting so hearing just about everything under the coil is normal for me.

Another great video mate. I'm really enjoying P2 GMP in full tones and hopping to the "Hot" program if the iron gets heavy. The continuity of the audio in both search options is something I really like. ATB MMMD

I run it as hot as possible so I hear the iron. It takes concentration and can get very wearing. I love my Deus👍

@@The-skillschool what a great machine and I love the feedback. 4-5 hours straight for the morning session then another 4 in the afternoon can rattle the gearbox a bit but if I didn’t want it I’d do something about it👍
I have been waiting for this video. Where I hunt it is all that and more with iron. Still haven't totally figured out why some iron screams great tone and others don't. But then again have had the Deus only a couple of months.

Since you replied I will say thank you so much for all of your videos that I have watched. But have to ask a question that I can't seem to find the answer too. Like I mentioned I am fairly new with the Deus. I bought a used one (always wanted one since they came out, but happy with my CTX so didn't feel the need) so I bought a used one from someone that had 2 and just purchased the Nox. It has the original coil...I am guessing this machine is 6 years old. The coil is the stock coil. Nowhere does it say x35. But the control box is V.5 so it runs in multiple frequencies. What is the difference in the first stock coil and the v35 stock coil that they come with today? That is my question. And would it benefit me at all to get the newer coil or a different coil?
I love this machine and I have used it as often as I can since I have purchased it. Average 2-3 times a week I figure.
Great vid Gary and yes I was on that dig. I ran the standard Hot program and played with the discrim between -6.4 to 5 also. Only had my Deus a few months but slowly learning the capabilities of the machine and myself.

I start on -6.4, find a noisy sweep, then reduce reactivity in small steps until the mineral noise is gone. I nearly always end up on about -4.6 on my roman fields. Keep the excellent vids coming 👍

Great informative video there Gary on the deus programmes, and how the different programs react to iron contamination. You were not alone on that video saw a spirit of a man for a few minutesments on the camera then he disappeared. Don’t know if that was your camera guys adding him for the Halloween. Coming up or if it was a real ghost but it looked effective .👍😊

Great comparison Gary….I use hot and Sonar a lot but Also really like to rotate with the Sniper programme in iron. Like that fleece BTW!

Sorry my english but i'm using google translate.Very interesting and instructive video.Personally I use a couple of programs with negative discrimination both on a deep and hot basis with reactivity at -2.5 even on fields with iron, I will definitely review them with reactivity to 4 to see the difference. I run my Deus on the hot program all the time ! It will find those tiny cut quarters amongst the iron on old house sites especially using the White HF coil too. I’ve trained my ear too it now so never bother with the other programs.

Nice vid Gary.... I'm trying to wrap my head around something... Your sonar program is using a 3 tone base...but acts like a 2 tone due to how/where you have the breaks set?
Also... The iron sound comes thru do to it being wide open settings, but if you ran disc up to say "10"....and then played with iron volume to suit your ears.... How would that differ from what the sonar does?
Maybe another way to ask is, can we adjust disc to a higher value, and then adjustment Iron Volume to allow us to hear the iron when we want to?

I'm sorry to be off topic but did you notice the 'apparition' that appears at 3:28 then disappears at 3:37 just to your right on the left of the screen. It's a ghostly image of someone moving, looks to be in overalls. What is that?

I’ve tweaked the sonar program to suit me.
Try the tone break at 6-7 if you really want to push it
@@The-skillschool I leave it at 9 but up the high tone and reactivity of 3.
I use it back to back with the core program I made.
Been swing a nox for a few years but enjoy your videos mate think this is the time to jump ship to xp dose your sonar program work on the deus 2
It works best using mono frequencies.
@@The-skillschool thanks for the reply I know you probably can’t say to much yet one thing I am interested in is how it handles emi my area is plagued with electric fences hoping it can open up a few new parts on my permissions
Electric fences are pretty much impossible to eliminate as they are a pulse EMI.

No you can't access to e breaks through the headphones.
The closest you will get is the same settings but use a 2 tone audio.

It could be several reasons, without looking at it I cant diagnose.
It appeared to be a woman in what looked like baggy pants. At 3:33 both hands comes down to sides. At 3:35 "it" turns right, takes two steps & disappears. Cool

A few weeks later i replaced it with a nox800.
I'm not happy with the nox, I love the look of the mk2 Deus, will the price be similar to the mk1..

In a nutshell my question is the deus still relevant in 2024?
I want to get a deus, but literally everyone is telling me to get a deus 2, but I'm really interested in the original deus
I currently use a legend, and here in canada I 90% of the time run 40khz, I find 40khz really pings off both out steel core coins, and our nickel coins
I'm really interested if 74khz with the HF elliptical coil will work better than 40khz on the legend for my uses
Since the deus 2 dosnt have a elliptical, or a HF coil, I'm not really interested in it
I can get a deus, remote and lite headphones for $995 canadian, or the deus lite by itself for $675, so the full one seems to be the better deal, because the only place that sells a single remote here wants like $600 for it
Am I crazy for considering getting a deus 1 instead of a deus 2😊
The Deus 1 is still a great machine.
I like to run mine with the 9" HF round Coil.
