Hi Gary, I've been experimenting on 28KHz hot programme with the 9" elliptical. I've been detecting a finds-rich area with lots of tiny buttons etc. I've found loads of stuff missed previously on 14KHz, including some targets that were quite deep. After finding targets on 28KHz I tried switching back to 14 to see if I could hear it - you get that high tone but it's so faint at 14 that it is easy to miss. I definitely recommend anyone with the HF coil goes over their previously detected sites with higher frequencies because you just never know what you may have missed.

I'm going to say it again Gary, thanks for taking the time to make these vids. During lockdown I'm watching them all again, next best thing to being out.
Howz this for an idea while you can't get out... How about compiling a vid on your out-takes? We dig some right rubbish up sometimes when we think it's a good target and curse, we drive the spade in, hit a rock and fall a over t etc. I remember my mate, so keen the get on the field before me that when he tried to clear the barbed wire fence he actually cartwheeled, I can remember now seeing both his feet arch through the air. Happy days.

Thanks for the great video Gary ! I recently hunted an old site with my HF coil . I noticed the ground response didn't sound right on 14 kHz , it was a bit quiet and the tones were very low. I changed to 32 kHz it was perfect I could hear the ground come to life and the targets were much more clearer. Again excellent video !!

I use deep fully open disc minus 6.4 with full tones reactivity 4 audio response 5....I have never found so much stunning items and hammereds...exactly as per your vid ,any squeak above an iron tone ...I dig it! I was recently at a site with bad EMI a cattle fence near by plus overhead power lines I tried all sorts of adjustment and finally switched to dry beach the emi was almost gone and I soon popped out a gold ring and a silver coin plus a bunch of coppers I have been over this site with 2 other machines plus the Deus on days when the emi was not bad and expected to find very little but was surprised that by changing the search mode I would find stuff I missed I also noticed the Deus loves wet soil over dry and can go to a site after a good rain and it's like it's never been hunted thanks for the video and happy new year

  • @ADJ_83

Gary, I use X35 and generally if I find an iffy target on 17khz I drop it to 7khz and if its still Iffy or worse I walk on. Granted sometimes I'm probably missing stuff and sometimes I dig anyway and 90% of the time the machine is right. Lower Frequency always tends to ID the scrap better which I saw in that video too. What the video told me is that if your on HF above 30khz your probably going to dig more targets as they all sound better if there's a hint of non ferreous in there.

Hello from France, good choice ! it will be better in vietnam ! The best program is the beach sens, i don't like pitch, the square or the pwm are better. You can use sel sens for more stability, and increase a little the réactivity + 0.5 to 1.5. The mode all metal is good (push the right botton up). Don't forget to make ground balance (move the coil not more thant 5 centimers from the ground). I used the Equinox for a long time, now it's finish, only the Deus 2, it's the best for beachcombing.

I’ve been meaning to ask you that after a number of years of a piss poor mounting feature on the Deus controller , I would think they would come up with something better to offer to their customers. And maybe while they’re at it a thin plastic plate kit so your coil doesn’t get killed on stubble ! I know I’d buy a better fix for the control as well as the coil bottom plate kit. Fair comment RRH trouble is Multifrequency is slower than single frequencies because they need more time to analyse the signal..

I still love it and everytime I think of upgrading out pops a cut quarter or a piece of gold that makes me think “I’ll stick with the old girl!” But lately I’ve been thinking of getting a smaller coil, for trashy sites and also for stubble which is hard work with the big coil. If I get the HF coil can I still run it on my v4 software? Thanks, Tom. Should I get the 9" x35 instead of the 9" white HF if I already have the original black 9" coil that came with the machine. My original does 4khz to 17khz and with the HF doing 15khz to 55khz surely there is no point getting the X35?

If you have the original black coil, I would personally get the white 9" HF.
      But its your choice.

@@The-skillschool yeah! I've been weighing it up and I feel it would just be pointless getting the x35 when I have the original too. When the original does most of what the X35 does.
      Thank you! 👍🏼👍🏼

Interesting thanks on the 11inch x35 is the highest 27.7kHz ? and do you know how similar that be to 31 ?

quick question, and maybe a daft one 🤔. does anybody know if the higher frequencies of the hf coil are still used without the control unit (just using headphones) if that makes sense 🤣
