Agreed...It's refreshing to see the tech stuff put away sometimes and just see guys having fun and getting results with some fine guns. I do that myself at the range sometimes...just take two or three guns and see what happens -Great video
Wait a minute guys, it's NOT gun 'accuracy' that you are measuring with these tests but rather how well YOU happen to shoot a particular gun. For accuracy testing you would need to shoot each gun off the bench using a benchrest under equal conditions with the same batch of ammo.
enjoyed the video. I recently purchased a CW9, it was between that and the Smith M&P. I've been nothing but pleased with my Kahr, put 150rds. thru it first day and no jams, or complications what so ever, shot a 3" group at 27ft. less than 2" @21ft. it's my carry weapon also. I went from a Sig P250 .40cal, back to the 9mm. they are so much easier to handle honestly this gun takes home the cheddar in my opinion. just my thoughts tho. Enjoyed, Vid!
Actually the review did its purpose before you guys started being concerned about looking good on camera with accuracy. In a cold situation pulling the gun, it taught me that the Kahr does what I would expect, causes overcompensation for the Kahr barrel's patented "low" perspective in the hand (supposed to help follow up shots). The other thing the video showed is that trigger differences are of utmost importance for various shooters and should absolutely be considered before a purchase.
After watchin this video, now I'm more confused on which one to buy. I'm actually looking into both. Although I'm used to the m&p trigger since I have the full size 40
Both Ryan's first shots with the Kahr were low. The second time he didnt drill one of the holes, his shot was about 3" to the left of the first low shot in the white. Good review, I am considering a CW9. I had a PM9 before and it was a great firearm but I foolishly traded it off.
They're both fine pistols. I ended up buying the Shield because it was a little bit less expensive than the CW-9 and also because it has a higher capacity. But you really can't go wrong with either.
I was used to a 1911 with a break like a glass rod, no overtravel, and about a 3 lb pull.(Bar-Sto barrel, too.) Incredibly accurate and easy to shoot. The trigger on my Shield had a lot of creep, and over 3mm overtravel. I can handle the creep OK since I've had several revolvers, but the overtravel took a lot of getting used to. It got better, and I got better. I'm still probably gonna find a way to limit the overtravel. Glad you like yours. Should be dependable.
great comparison video guys. My opinion is that accuracy would have been achieved better if you used a pistol stand..this will definitely show proper pistol accuracy without having proper trigger pull and pistol grip,as.a factor that can affect an individuals accuracy. keep up the great work and hope to learnmore from you guys.
That's exactly right, not a whole lot of the newschoolers are used to are revolvers more so didn't all the designer guns I'll be at 1911's but nevertheless sure the shield has a greatTrigger 2 but not as good as the Kahr.
I know you really like the theme music you have but I hate it. If you are stuck with it can you at least turn it down a couple of notches? Thats if you care whether it chases off a few subs that is.
The trigger does get better on the Shield. I can balance a penny on the front sight blade on mine, strong hand only, and pull the trigger without the penny falling off. I had been shooting a tuned 1911 for years up until now, so it took a fair amount of getting used to, but between the trigger breaking in, and a lot of dry firing practice, I'm pretty solid with it now. In my hand, it feels like a part of my body, and I can pretty much shoot as well as I can see. I'm happy with it.
I was actually glad to see that Ryan shot low on his first shot both times with the Kahr. Many people have that happen with their first shot of the magazine with those long, DA style triggers. Goes to show that even great shooters have the same problems as "average Joe's".
i also want to add that if you are going to be shooting a lot and manipulating the slide a lot then the kahr may not be a good choice for you. the frame was designed specifically for light practicing for carry only. m&p's are designed to be shot a lot.
PM9 has the polygonal barrel, and that is where the price differs. But definitely not worth the money when you can have the CM9 that is just as accurate at 5 to 10 yards.
cool group with the Kahr. I might of missed it, how far were you? looking for the shield myself. just shot MP compact with hole over hole pretty much. couldn't believe it. hoping for good with the shield. you must just suck at shooting the shield's trigger....just kidding
I think they meant offhand in the more general sense of "without preparation". I've heard it used to mean "without a ransom rest". But I admit I was confused when they said it too.
not definitive at all... chad the cw9 is obviously one you are familiar with or some other kahr. how the triggers function are completely different. if you had shot lots of m&p's you would probably do much better.
I think the lighter recoil on the Kahr (to say noting of the better grouping) gives it the clear edge. Plus, it's thinner too.
The Kahr is the best single stack in production.
I love the Kahr trigger as well. I have a CW45 and I think it recoils less than my CZ or SCCY in 9mm
Really a great firearm design.
Dude I had same results with cw9 until i went with a three dot sight set up. Now it is my fave. Good vid. Funny stuff.

The Shield trigger is Great out of the box, glad to hear it get's even better!

Amazing shooting off hand to check accuracy.

Ir was less expensive? -- How much was it?
PM9 has a fancier slide is really about the only difference. I really like my CW9!
good review. that looks like a really nice range. where abouts are you located?

CW9 for me. It's my EDC. I really like the trigger.

Conclusion: Ryan should carry the M&P Shield, Chad should carry the CW9. Sometimes you just have to go with what the data tells you! ;)
Kahr triggers are awesome! Like the trigger revolvers would love to have. Long, safe, and smooth.
That's exactly right, not a whole lot of the newschoolers are used to are revolvers more so didn't all the designer guns I'll be at 1911's but nevertheless sure the shield has a greatTrigger 2 but not as good as the Kahr.

Question: Are using Point of Aim or Point of Impact with the Kahr CW9?
Looks like you didn't go off-hand on the Kahr when the first person shot?
Yeah I agree with fender on, sometime most often than not its way more fun to just go out with a friend and waist some ammo and have a blast
I was actually glad to see that Ryan shot low on his first shot both times with the Kahr. Many people have that happen with their first shot of the magazine with those long, DA style triggers. Goes to show that even great shooters have the same problems as "average Joe's".
I want em both!
Why is the PM9 so much more expensive than the CW9? They look the same
fuck I can decide which one if could be good with the shield or the kahr but not both I cant figure which one I want
Ever hear of a Ransom Rest ?
i also want to add that if you are going to be shooting a lot and manipulating the slide a lot then the kahr may not be a good choice for you. the frame was designed specifically for light practicing for carry only. m&p's are designed to be shot a lot.

I got both the shield and the cw9. I guess I'll do my own accuracy vid too.
You’re the first person I’ve heard say that you love the trigger on the m&p Shield. REALLY?
cool group with the Kahr. I might of missed it, how far were you? looking for the shield myself. just shot MP compact with hole over hole pretty much. couldn't believe it. hoping for good with the shield. you must just suck at shooting the shield's trigger....just kidding
"You son of a bitch."
Fantastic review, solely based on that.
Different strokes for different folks.
You can’t call something a “flyer” in a three shot group.
Likely getting too much finger on the trigger on the Kahr? That'll pull you low and it's easy to do on that gun.
the grouping were the same shape..............hahahahaha..........that was funny!!!!!!
I thought “offhand” meant one handed with your non-dominant hand…???
I think they meant offhand in the more general sense of "without preparation". I've heard it used to mean "without a ransom rest". But I admit I was confused when they said it too.
Cw9's a better & closer pattern
All guns but the kahr have a wall. The wall causes most to jerk or flinch. The kahr will make you a better shooter.
in other words shoot what u like
well...chad needs to carry the CW9...it goes to show you...you need to practice with your carry piece.
not definitive at all... chad the cw9 is obviously one you are familiar with or some other kahr. how the triggers function are completely different. if you had shot lots of m&p's you would probably do much better.
Accuracy Comparison well you failed off top by not having A platform.
Fingernail to uhhh.....wrinkle. Pretty funny, CW9 all the way.
My shield is more accurate than that at 15yds..... Cold no practice
ha fingernail to wrinkle.
Kahr's triggers SUCK
