I eat my steaks blue. But Wagyu A5 well-done too. It's best well-done because all the fat is warm; that's when the Wagyu A5 is the most tender and melting in your mouth. It's really not the same kind of beef.

For those calling on the ''well done'' part...
Wagyu tastes great no matter how it's cooked.
I buy wagyu directly from suppliers at least once a month. Thick 3cm cuts of sirloin or ribeye. I've tried cooking it all ways, including medium rare, medium well and well done.
There all taste different, but still tastes ridiculously good.
Medium rare - Extremely tender. But the fat becomes too overwhelming due to the lack of beefy flavor. It's not that there is no beefy flavor, but it's a lot less than a regular non wagyu cut of medium rare steak.
Medium well - Still very tender. But of course, more beefy tenderness.
Well done - Actually, it's still very tender. Requires maybe 10% more chewing, but the beefy flavor becomes very strong. It's nothing like a well done US Prime grade steak, which I also buy from my local supermarket, which imports directly from the US.
For small portions, medium rare is recommended. But for bigger cuts, personally, I prefer slightly more done, as you can appreciate the flavor more.

Someone who learned cooking from youtube says
" well done is terrifying doneness. "
Actually, the hardest doneness is " welld done."
Well done must conserve meat's juice and also its own texture.
It is very hard to conserve juice with high inside temperature.
So people who don't know what well done really jt is,
they just went to any normal restaurant and orered well done, acutally "overcooked" steak and just chew a quite expensive gum.

I can’t imagine a world where wagu gets tough. Well done must simply caramelize the fats and sugars and add extra Unami and taste. In terms of texture, adding a slight crispy edge contrasting the buttery meaty bite. I’d put money on it being a counter-intuitively excellent way to eat wagu.

It might still taste better than the average well done steak, just as a sports car will drive smoother and have better handling than the average car going 30mph, but don't be surprised when people find it appalling to see something valuable that they probably can't afford not be maximized to its full potential.
