Hello Greg, I’d like to know if I take a picture knowing that the and result will be in black & white, am I better off shooting it that way in camera, or do it in color and convert to black & white with a photo editing program? Thanks. Rick.
I use both manual and auto focus, normally with 'single'. The camera is a 500D/T1i/Kiss X3, so the AF system is not brilliant. It is easier to turn a dial than fiddle about with cursors and menus.
+Maxsdiscos Not sure what you mean by the second part, as for the AF system i the low end cameras I'd agree. That is part of the reason why I recommend at least a D7200 to everyone.

If you are shooting film, yes. Digital? No, shoot RAW.
Where are you Greg? New material please

+Gregory Cazillo I meant 'one shot'.
If not Lightroom - what else?
I used to like Picasa but that's gone the was of the Dodo...
+Martin Do you mean what other programs besides LR?
Yes. A PC app that I can use for sorting / organising photos and simple edits.
+Martin Talked about that a while ago czcams.com/video/LlJscdwq4FU/video.html
Ah! Completely missed that!
Thanks Greg.
