Sorry, but there is no tip there. When you pan down to get the exposure, where do you meter?? That's the most important thing. Here, you have a dark wall if you pan down, then your wall will be gray, overexposed (wall being darker than middle tone). Now, if you have a middle tone subject when you pan down (green grass, or a middle gray stone for example, just spotmeter on it to get a correct exposure, then reccompse, you can still change the exposure you just got with an equivalent exposure, and shoot..all this in strictly manual mode of course. You can also use the zone system as suggested by one of the commentator. This his video is way incomplete.

I'm seeing that you are able to change ink cartridges mid print, without sacriificing the printing, but when my Epson P800 ran out of ink in the middle of a print, the touch screen said "printing" and the only way I could get to the screen to open the ink cartridge door was by cancelling printing on the touch screen, which fed the partially printed photo into the output tray, ruining any chance of saving it. This video is, sadly, quite misleading. You should take it down and/or clarify it. I understand your point of view but it is unfortunately incorrect. Zooming in and cropping IS esentially the same thing. Well almost. Depth of field is different but that's it. Everything else is the same. What you say would be true only if people shooting APS-C / DX cameras were displaying and / or printing their pictures 1,5 times smaller than people shooting fullframe cameras. Which is obviously not the case. That means the APS-C image must be enlarged at some point. And this enlargement is the crucial moment you are missing. This dismantles your argument that "the pictures are the same". They're not. The one is being enlarged by a certain amount, the other is not. The moment of enlargement is the very moment when the effect mimicking the focal length increase occurs. The focal length equivalence is a useful concept that works. Perhaps "equivalence" is not the best term but the fact remains that a 200mm lens mounted on an APS-C body is as close as it gets in practical use to a 300mm lens mounted on a fullframe body. And 50mm IS a viable portrait lens on an APS-C body (although ~60mm is better).

Distortion is definitly not about focal length. Distortion occurs because of a too short distance between the model and the camera. Do a test, put yourself at 10 feet from your model and stay there for every shoot, then shoot at 24 - 35 - 50 - 85 - 100 and 135 mm without varying the distance, then crop to get the same framing. -> No distortion on any photo. No focal length distorts. The distance between the model and the camera does. 10 feet rule. Gotta know how your lenses perform at different apertures and distances. 2.8 at 15' focus distance with a 24-70 will have a depth of field of at least 10-20'
