When it comes to BBF and shooting a fast-paced sport, there's nothing better. If you shoot e.g. ice hockey you don't time to adjust your focus point anyway. Of course it's always a personal preference, but I would never change away from BBF and I know majority of sports shooters use it.
Thats the purpose of the screen. I get your point if you're shooting sports but a video to call people out, stay calm. Professional sports has replay for a reason, to get it right. A second look is not a big deal and I dont think it makes you less of a photographer by doing this.
Hi Greg, Don't take this the wrong way but I think more visuals would make your video more interesting....
I would be on aperture priority when doing moving subjects...continuous focus. Thanks for sharing Greg!
Ran 26 miles, photographer discusses logistics. I haven’t done either, disappointed twice
Interesting you dislike back button focus. Compelling reasoning. Testing your idea.

+R1ku Your index finger is already on the shutter, why not give yourself the option of moving focus points with your thumb rather than not at all?
As much as it comes to winter dressing. Do you use any type of gloves when shooting outside? If yes, what type?
+Federico Feroldi I haven't found a good pair yet either!
Thank you Greg! If you find a useful product, please share it with us!
