Greg wanted to take a break from the normal format and do something different. He gave a complete tutorial from how to choose the right image for a panoramic print, cropping, and printing from Adobe Lightroom. Have any questions? Ask away! Keep shooting!

what about that weird flash of photos at 4:42? Pretty annoying. Otherwise helpful video.
Thank you so much for this video! I have an Epson P7000 and could not figure out how to get a really huge sized print like you did. All of the settings and the print dialog are identical, and this was the one piece of information that was missing.
Thank you so much for showing how to replace a cartridge mid-way! I was going to change it as soon as I saw the warning, found your comment on DPReview, and sure enough, it let me replace and continued without missing a beat. Excellent!
Have you now gone to the new P900 printer? I wonder if it too, can have a new cartridge inserted in the middle of a print?
Not yet. This P800 still has lots of miles left to go!
Hi
Thanks for review it is really useful . would you please send a link for your printer cabinet , it seems comes with cutter as well .
I could do this with an Epson XP-15000?
Gregory, Can you press 'cut' several times and feed 2 feet of blank paper out, cut it, then press 'finish' and the printer will pull the 2 feet of blank back in? Or is it a one time deal with the 'cut' function button.
my printer is Epson L130, how can I print these panoramic images.
Hi do you use a colormunki photo to calibrate your monitor and printer?
I'm seeing that you are able to change ink cartridges mid print, without sacriificing the printing, but when my Epson P800 ran out of ink in the middle of a print, the touch screen said "printing" and the only way I could get to the screen to open the ink cartridge door was by cancelling printing on the touch screen, which fed the partially printed photo into the output tray, ruining any chance of saving it. Can you tell me the order of steps to take when you run out of ink in the middle of printing, with the P800? I don't see an explanation of this anywhere on the Internet. Thanks
Great tutorial. Seems a complicated printer, but very well simplified by you. Thank you.
+David Croft I agree it can be complicated, but believe me it is super easy to use for the basics. Just like our DSLRs they have tons of functions but we don't use 90% of them.
is it true that p800 is providing better quality rather than stylus pro 4900 although the dpi
nuzzles are less (180 instead of 360) but resolution for artwork printing is more
conceivable? PS: we (as an art training institute) are
looking for the best high resolution and dynamic range for photo print
as well as painting artworks for exhibitions and gift posters. that's why
beside quality, spending inks and papers should be economy for selling
with good rates. pleas advise.
+mrz 1342 I'd say it's a bit better than my 7800 when pixel peeping up close but I seriously doubt you would notice from normal viewing distance.
Can epson L1460 do that?
Hello Gregory,
I am printing on canvas with a P800 and cannot get the output length to match my image. IE: print cropped 1:2 ratio and printed from LR to be 16x32" and it comes out at 16x31 3/4". A 13x19" comes out at 13x18 7/8". How long is your 72" print when measured? Anyone else printing canvas~ do your prints come out as expected? Other papers are as expected.
Thanks for the vids
Can you send me screenshots of your settings? What app are you printing from?
Printing from LR CC, iMac~here are some screen shots:

How to get you screen shots?
Twitter or Facebook would probably be easiest.
Great picture and print Greg.....love that printer too
+Tricky Pixels Thanks! I'm enjoying it. Do you have one?
thank you very much gregory
can you show us how to print photos using photoshop for the p800 ?
and where can i get the color profiles
i just bought this printer today and i'm really excited to it
thank you
Should be pretty easy. Main thing is to choose profile in Photoshop print box and turn it off in the Epson box. Hit me up on twitter.com/cazillo or fb.com/cazillophoto if you have more questions.
Profiles should have been installed with the printer driver for Epson papers, fyi.
thank you very much gregory
I will try it and contact you if I have any questions and even to say thanks again
appreciated for everything
you are a really great photographer BTW
just about to print my first panoramic and found your CZcams video excellent. 1 Question - the P800 has a 1441 dpi but you specify for EPSON to be 270??? why not the 1441? cheers Frank [Scotland].
1440 is the max DPI on paper. Your source PPI should be 270 as that's the native resolution of Epson printers. Look up my article on medium.com/@cazillo called "PPI Doesn't Matter (and Stop Saying DPI)" so you understand this better.
@@cazillo very much appreciated you taking the time to reply. Just looked at your article and makes sense. I bought P800 about 1 year ago but this is the first time I intend to print a large panoramic and your CZcams is max help and your advice I have taken. Thank you very much.
@@jamesss1953 Glad it worked out
Good work thank you
How long does it take for the ink to dry?
+ValiRossi it's dry almost immediately, but Epson recommends waiting 24 hours before you frame a print or stretch a canvas because they offgas.
I just ordered the roll paper carrier for my P800, so this video is great in giving me insight into the big print process. Question: I see you did this borderless. I've read horror stories about printing borderless about overspray mucking up the internal workings of a printer. Is there anything that you do with your P800 that minimizes any problems? I admit that what I've read has made me a bit nervous about subjecting my newly acquired P800 to something that may be harmful to it. Thanks, Gregory!
Sounds like another one of those internet rumors to me, don't believe everything you read on the internet! I've been printing borderless forever with R2000, 7800, P400, P800 & 3880 printers never one issue. If it was that 'harmful' as you say then the manufacturer wouldn't allow it.
Be careful when removing the roll paper holder, I heard the tabs can break if you are hard on it.
Thanks, Gregory! I kind of wondered about the borderless thing since I'm fairly new to printing. I've already got an image picked out to try a much smaller than 6 ft. panoramic shot with my roll paper carrier installed.
Woohoo! Just printed my first "large print" at 17X35 and boderless. ;-) Paper loaded just fine and the print came out just great. Thanks again for the tutorials.
This is good content :) both from a printing perspective and also a departure from the more or less boring Mondays :) Keep up this creative work
+ladduro Is that a compliment?
***** Yes!!! I was saying that this is good video, and to keep up the creative content. Sorry for any misunderstanding
+ladduro I was kidding. Got any ideas? It can be tough week to week coming up with good stuff that people like!
+Gregory Cazillo I think you can continue with printing tips, maybe showing and demonstrating other features. These days not a lot of people are printing anymore, so it is a good topic.
I haven't seen an editing video in a while, so maybe you have the time to start on that as well.
What is in your bag lately?
As soon as another question hits my mind, I will leave a comment
How long did it take to print?.
+iShootBandits Keep watching ;-) czcams.com/video/lhPjjtEadjY/video.html
Your out of LK
What with that subliminal message though? 4:43
huh?
Gregory Cazillo I swear on my end I get a bunch of random images flashing on that part of the video. I just checked again
I certainly don't see any. Maybe the Russians hacked your computer? hahahaha
Gregory Cazillo Hmm I'm going crazy. :( Still there at 4:42ish. But anyways I love the info on this video :)
pulseimages Thank you. He's trolling lol
