Windows Millenium: SWEATING INTENSELY.
You know this kinda makes me appreciate my elitebook 2540p. It does have the i5 and I think it is the first gen of the i5 so there's that. However it can support a whole 8 gigs of ram and I did get it second hand right for 75 or something and even people want like 195 for it on the used market or something like that with a ssd and the full ram which makes it more sought out...... oddly. And at the time when the computer came out it cost an astounding 1100 dollars... at the time which was like 2009 or something. It runs windows 10 so that's cool and the cpu runs at like 2.50 ghz and "supposedly" can turbo to 3.10 but I was never able to get that to happen even in a demanding load. I think that turbo thing was in certain computers or cpus or something. But it's ok tho I haven't gotten to upgrade the laptop yet with either both ram and ssd so, sad... but I will. I almost upgraded ram but some fool on eBay I bought some off of took forever to ship and he was in California (keep that in mind) and I'm in Arizona. So I waited and waited because it said there was only a label made for like a week. I asked what was up and he was like "oh my god I'm sorry that it hasn't happened yet or legit shipped yet" and when that happened it got to me...from Nebraska.......ok...... ill....still.....allow....it. aaaaaand when it arrived there was NOTHING in the bubble mailer. Now... if you ship i dunno computer parts you'd put it in a box right? Not this guy... so I was absolutely livid and I messages him because there was a "number" in the empty package and oh yeah I took pictures of that mailer still sealed to show him before and after. But he was cool but told me that was the only time that has happened to him, yeah ok... but was willing to ship it again or refund. On my end I kinda was having issues with the hard drive now so I asked for a the refund I did want him to ship it still but....no.. so I was so close yet so far to upgrade the laptop with something but fell through like fell real hard...
I used to have a acer pc with windows xp witch was later upgraded to windows 7 and i have alot of memories playing cs:go 1.6 on that thing

I still use my custom laptop from 2012 to this day. The only things that I have changed are the HHD to a SSD and from win 7 pro to Linux. Thinking of finally getting a new one this year depending on what is shown off at CES and the computer.

Hey! Thats the exact same thing that happened to me on my old Dell desktop. It's actually a processor problem. I have experimented trying to install 64 bit Windows on the 32 bit Celeron 2.66ghz and it just hanged on the logo. So you should have tried the 32 bit Windows 10.
My Uncle has one of these, and at one pointed wanted it repaired. It like my Asus F3L refuses to work with more than 2GB of RAM (and won't work with single 2GB sticks), unlike my 2 year older Tecra M5 that ran just fine with 4GB (Intel's mobile chipsets of the time were horrendous)

Why does the camera quality of the old camera actually kinda look like iPhone cameras running at 720p
It still has better video quality than the iPhone 4 which was released a year later (despite them both recording in 720p)
for that kind of old laptop, especially Vista, the most sensible upgrade is Windows 7 which most of the time fixes Vista's performance issues. RAM issue, you firstly have to check the old manual for max supported memory for each slot. it's rare for old laptops to have BIOS update that increases the max capacity though
and Pro tip, never use Windows 10 on old laptop. You'll be wasting hours just to wait the ISO boots up
