The girls play a game and Rochelle (Rachel True) ends up floating in mid-air.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
After killing her mother in childbirth, growing up in San Francisco with her father and stepmother, attempting suicide, and moving to Los Angeles, Sarah (Robin Tunney) makes a brief stab at popularity at her new Catholic high school. Ostracized due to the untrue kiss-and-tell tales of football player Chris (Skeet Ulrich), Sarah reluctantly befriends a trio of self-styled outsiders: the horribly scarred Bonnie (Neve Campbell), the trailer-trash Nancy (Fairuza Balk), and Rochelle (Rachel True), a frequent victim of anti-black prejudice at the hands of Laura Lizzie (former Marcia Brady and future Mrs. Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor). After exhibiting latent telekenitic powers in front of Bonnie, Sarah learns that her three new friends have chosen her as their "fourth corner," the final member of their supernatural coven. Using tools stolen from a local incense-and-candle-filled boutique for practitioners of magic, the quartet summons the power of Manon, a primitive deity, to exact revenge on their tormentors and transform their lives. Drunk with power, they watch their spells get out of control, and the new coven soon realizes that with magic, "whatever you give comes back three-fold." This mid-'90s horror flick scored first place at the box office its opening weekend despite its then-unknown cast and modest budget. TV star Neve Campbell, who didn't even receive top billing, would go on to become the '90s answer to '70s horror queen Jamie Lee Curtis in the Scream franchise.

Yeah, it wasn't them filling in a fourth member awakening some dormant powers within them. It was a truly awakened person sharing part of their own connection and subsequently taking it back in the end. Nancy was the only one who needed a binding because of the evocation. She would have been powerless too, if Sarah left before that ritual.

A friend of mine insisted this worked once, he actually levitated. I believed him. Years later after abandoning blind belief in undetectable forces, invisible people, etc I realized: He said he had his eyes closed the whole time, it's odd he felt like he never left the floor and he hardly knew the others, sooo, did he really float?? I still can't believe I didn't figure out the obvious back then.
Then do it yourself by inviting some of your friends over and do it .

You know this trick really does work. Not sure of the cold hard logic and science behind it but apparently my mother did this years ago in her high school years. She told me it worked.

Bloody Mary midnight Mary all of the supernatural games we played. I was the one lifted as well as the one lifting. Maybe there is physics to it. Worked every time. We never took our fingers away and then the girl stayed afloat. That would of been awesome.

EVERYBODY did this, lol! I grew up in the 70's, we all did it when we were much younger than these girls. My mom did it with her friends when she was a kid. in the 50's. It's nothing new. People say it works, but it doesn't. It's the power of suggestion and working with gullible minds. And just like Ouiji boards, there's always one person cheating. It's just a rite of passage growing up.
I have seen it in the movie theatre when it came out in May 1996, then i rented it on VHS LOL, then i bought it on VCD, then now i bought the blu ray and last summer I bought in on itunes and downloaded it on my phone LOL. I cant get enough of this film. I just wish the movie people left this movie alone. Remakes suck.

this does actually work. the person levitates under your fingers and becomes literally light as a feather, but you don't take your hands away, the person will just fall 😂

Either way, I do not think candles were as “trendy” or overpriced in places as they are today. Dollar Tree is a good place to get candles today, though. I also got 30 richly apple-scented tealights from IKEA the other day.
