    Real Madrid's 3 Champions Leagues in row tactics Explained!
    Zidane's first three seasons in charge were a dream come true, winning the Champions League 3 successive times, a record that will likely stand for some time. The French Manager was often criticised for supposedly lacking in tactical knowledge, however results speak for themselves, and what was achieved in those 3 seasons will be remebered for years to come.
    In the first Episode of "History's FInest" we're going to be breaking down the main tactics behind their success, by looking at their main offensive and defensive game plan. It's safe to say that the Real Madrid squad in those years was one of the greatest in the history of the game, with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Benzema, Modric, Kroos, and Marcelo to name a few.

    you already covered the best team ever with this vid. 😁 but we can consider Pep’s Barca side, Arsenal’s Invincibles, Manchester United’s 07/08, Spain 2008-2012, Liverpool 2018-2020, etc.

      @@hashimi995 Sure they would... Look up the El Clasicos from that era and tell me how many were won by Real. Barca was fighting for all 3 trophies as a team that was carried solely by a single player. Real didn't care for the Copa Del Rey and they knew they couldn't win La Liga so they put all their focus on the UCL. And fair play to them, the plan worked and the project was a major success. 4 UCLs in 5 years is ridiculous and deserves all credit in the world. But don't call a team that was only the 2nd best (and more often than not 3rd best) in their own country the greatest team in history.

    I've never really considered ZZ a master tactician. He's not a clueless nitwit however I think the insane quality within that squad and his excellent man management coupled with simple, clear instructions that suited them as individuals and as a squad was what made them special. They were extremely fit physically & psychologically too.
    They weren't really exceptional at any one thing, they just knew how to win.

    They were pretty good but you can't deny the luck involved in this format. As zidane himself said on multiple occasions winning the league is harder than champions league luck is involved less. the best team always wins in the league format. But not in the cup format. I think Barcelona was the best team and real madrid was a close second.

    • @paavop
      @paavop Před rokem +2

      The most consistent team wins the league, not necessarily the best. Of course, knockout football is different than league football, but I would say CL is the hardest to win. Of course, luck has something to do with every CL winner but many people, especially Barca fans are overstating the luck factor. In CL you have to beat the best to win, in League, you have to consistently be able to beat low-table teams that just try to play for 0-0 draw against big teams, and that Barca does way better than Madrid.
