There's a lot of material to cover here so let's just get down to it. You and Romeo made huge progress together. I know you're going to miss him and he's going to miss you. Dad is so awesome! He got the fun job driving the really big machine. He had a little white fluffy four-legged cheerleader with endorsements of approval. I for one appreciate you salvaging every little thing you can. Imagine all the room Kinsley is going to have to run around and be just a fluffy little ball of cuteness with plenty of room to spare for a little brother or sister. XO
i’m cracking up right now. the rock n roll music was making the demo all intense and such but then dad walks up with a chainsaw in white sneakers, a white t shirt, and shorts 🤣 typical dad things. I love it
I love watching you guys demo things in the process of building your dream house. It's amazing to see how passionate and excited you are about renovating/updating a 100-year old cottage. This is my new favorite "show" to binge on.

I would suggest building a wood shed or some type of wood housing structure for that wood from that fallen tree. Then having wood burning stoves in the guest house and the main house so that if there are any extreme temperatures/power outages/storms in the future you have a way to heat your home.
I always think MaCenna is such a sweet "Disney Princess" type of gal. Always cheery and happy. Then in that one scene, she's standing there demoing and yanking down boards and the "Disney" birds are chirping in the background. I was cracking up. 3:04

Just list the hot tub on Craigslist or marketplace and someone will come get it where it s currently located. Then you won’t have to move it at all. I do this all the time for all sorts of stuff. Works like a charm

Watching your dad & mom help you so much makes me miss my dad SO much. He was a builder & could fix anything I needed. (Single mom here.) When he couldn't work anymore, I had a difficult time finding someone trustworthy to help me with projects. Love watching your excitement as things progress. Can't wait to see what comes next!

A tiny greenhouse built with all that glass would be awesome. So you can grow your greens and herbs during the winter. A nice chair to read and have a cup of Coffee or hot chocolate while taking some sunlight. I would also plant a small orchard with berry bushes and dwarf tree varieties (Raspberry Bkueberry, Blackberry, Apple, Cherry, Peach) and I would build a raised bed to cultivate a small vegetable and flower garden. A grapevine by the greenhouse. Some hanging lights to pop up during the night. Oh!!! So whimsical!! 💖💖 You have some much space, I believe you fit it.

From doing thrift flips to renter friendly makeovers, and now hardcore demo and renovation 😍 it’s just so exciting to really see how versatile and skilled you are in so many different aspects. Love it!!!! Doing a reno on my inherited home, keeping the look of the house. Getting rid of the trees crowding around the house but keeping the lemon tree was cool to experience. My great uncle bringing his bush hall over to get rid of the extra debris...it is a process but fun! It was a 3 bed 1 bath small cottage style, now we've merged 2 rooms and making the smallest room a closet with a w/d line in the back room. Keeping the claw foot tub, keeping the front and side doors (they don't make those doors anymore)...etc I love watching other people's projects with older homes.
Very lucky girl to have a dad who knows how to use a backhoe! Enjoying watching your progress!

Across the front of your property it would be gorgeous to plant a line of (eventually) tall junipers. Not only are they incredibly classy looking but they're amazing wind & sound barriers which offer you loads of privacy with little care or mess.
That was so satisfying to watch, curled up on my sofa, coffee in hand. You guys got so much done!!

I have never bought or built a house but I follow and watch a lot of people who do. One advice that sounded pretty goood was to begin by planting trees and fixing the yard because trees take so long to grow and this girl I was watching said she kept the yard for last and she regrets it because it would have grown to a beautiful yard by the time she finished the house itself.
Just something to consider maybe? 🥰 love those videos so much! ♥️

I am always amazed at how easy it is to demo and renovate homes in North America. In Africa, our houses are made of brick and cement...demo isn’t even close to easy....hell, sometimes just mounting a shelf on a hard brick wall is a challenge. As a result we also don’t have a reclaimed wood industry, a fact for which I’m often quite disappointed . Well done on your rapid progress!

Wow MaCenna, this is such a big project but I really can see how happy all of it makes you and that is so exciting. I get so happy when I see more and more things getting done. I am going to build a sun room on the front of my house this year, so I was having fun seeing how yours was put together, my windows will just be big and non working ones. It was also fun seeing how much fun your dad was having, I have actually driven a backhoe and they are a lot of fun tearing things down. I an so excited to see your next video.
