Great idea to pull the Trout out of the deal. That should be a 15-20k card. Population is king, and that LBJ is as rare as it gets + almost as iconic of a set as 86 Fleer. Absolutely breathtaking card, and exactly the type of deal I'm working up to as a collector!
It's a mount rushmore player who is about to beat Kareem's record soon, I would have held the Ovechkin out of the deal of any of those cards. Very low floor Ultra high ceiling type pickup there are tons of Jordan cards out there but to get a 50/50 out of 50 Lebron rookie parallel is crazy, could end up being a million dollar card when he breaks the record for most points.
Y’all are crazy if you think the scoring record gets a bump like that if any.

A Jordan PSA 10 is basically priceless... You can pull 10 Jordan rookies fresh outta packs and you won't get a gem mint 10... Dear Lord man
I’m a Jordan over Lebron guy, however in this case the Lebron will be better longterm IMO. There were 1986 fleer packs at every drugstore in America 35 years ago, there are only 50 Chrome Gold RC Refractors of lebron in existence period.
Also gotta remember most Lebron Stans are still young, 20 years from now they’ll have the disposable income to go after this card. This was the same phenomenon that happened 10 years ago with Rare MJ inserts as guys that are now 30-50 have the disposable income to get the rare MJs they wish they could’ve pulled when they were young.
@@jconst34c77 I don't think you actually read what I said yes there are plenty of Jordan Rookies but to see a gem mint it's super rare I can look up the PSA population numbers but I'm too lazy. Lebron is a fine a player and blah blah blah yes he's great. But Jordan will always be the GOAT
You’re right in that PSA will not give out another 10 for the Jordan card, even though there are tens of thousands of raw cards out there. So you’d need to buy one of the existing 320 PSA 10 copies to replace one you sell.
He has multiple PSA 10 Fleer Jordans.
The Lebron Chrome Gold Rc Refractor is just as iconic, and much harder to acquire any grade vs a psa 10 Jordan rookie. There are still tons of unopened 86 fleer boxes with 2-3 rookies per box. There are only 50 total copies of Lebrons most iconic rookie.
Jordan has more desirable cards than a base rookie psa 10, all the late 90s rare MJ inserts will continue to rise. Pmg green Mj will always outsell a psa 10 Jordan rookie.
Jordan is the goat to old heads, but these young guys can’t get that thru their head. 20 years from now more disposable income will be spent on this lebron and it won’t even be close.

Even at a 9.5 I would not have traded for those. Card most likely to drop a lot in a few years, while the hockey cards could see massive gains.

Absolutely! The Ovie & McDavid especially. Ovie is still a goal machine and McDavid is the best player in the league by far and he's got at least 10 more years ahead of him. The Lebron is cool, but I think it will continue to fall.

Not just gold but a 50/50, the only Bron that'd be worth more to collector's would most likely be 23/50 card or maybe 6/50 if all conditions were equal. So the opportunity to pick up a copy like this may never come around again.

That Gold Lebron is an awesome card, the second best Lebron card from that set is the X-fractor which is what i love to collect the most. I bought that X-fractor Lebron 2003 Topps Chrome for $230.00 back in the day but that was what is was valued at back then. Congrats again on the gold.

Nope, people are burned out by that card and Mike Trout and moving on from his cards. He gets injured way too much has no post season success and will barely make it to 500 home runs. He’s the Frank Thomas of our generation. Thomas put up huge numbers on the early to mid 90’s and winning multiple MVPs, then the injuries set in and all those people that predicted he was going to break Hank Aaron’s home run record got shafted. He had a couple of nice bounce back years with the Sox but the damage was done to his body and he bounced around with the A’s and Blue Jays which killed his hobby standing. Exact same trajectory that Trout is having.

I just bought a Jordan PSA 3 fro $2050 but with Ebay fees and duty fees since I live in Canada, I paid $2350 US or $3200 Canadian on November 10th. I see a PSA 3 just sold yesterday for almost 2400 before all fees added on so i think I got a good price.

Fun watch! Personally I would not have pulled the trigger on that deal. I understand your love for Lebron, and this gold card specifically, also the fact that his market is currently down and will go back up eventually. But, I would have kept the diversification with some of those lower end cards. Plus the fact that its a Becket and not PSA.
Those McDavid and Ovis are going to be worth a hell of a lot more than that LeBron in the future and to give up all those other cards was just dumb.

Can you give your thoughts on a video about slabs that you keep for a long time and psa eventually changes labels to new ones again, do you think that will hurt value because if I see same card with old label or newest label, I’m gonna want the new label, I have over 800 slabs now but worry about value dropping once psa gets new labels again, thank you

Theres over 300 Jordan 86 Fleers in a PSA10. That's not to mention that theres thousands of other copies out there and it's not even from his rookie year. The other cards were nice but nowhere near as iconic as that gold LeBron. I'd much rather have that LeBron with only 50 copies in existence. Congrats on the deal.
As the situation in China becomes more apparent and people like LeBron are on record apologizing for the CCP, on the off-chance people aren't completely unaware and daft, LeBron anything is going to be less and less desirable. He's already a pariah to large chunks of the public that Jordan never was and it's going to grow as this situation comes more into focus.

The Gretzky and Ovechkin I think were traded at a RAW price, I think Geoff got them graded and got good grades on both of them
