A lot of people don’t understand that there’s a difference between wanting to sell cards and needing to sell cards. He doesn’t cook anyone on purpose. You never know what someone else has going on and how fast they need funds. It’s part of the hobby. He just has more spending power than most.

I bought/sold sports cards in the 1980s. Baseball was tops in that time. I remember seeing boxes of 1986 fleer basketball on sellers' tables and were not selling. Looks like it was a great show. Nice pickup on the Jordan rookie.
Went to the show Saturday. Haven’t seen it that busy since right in the middle of the pandemic craziness . Not sure if it was the autograph guest or the weather but it was nuts

I would love to be able to do what you do. Buying and selling all different kinds of cards for a living. Looks fun and easy, but I’m sure making sure you turn a profit and having to sit on some of them has some stress involved for sure. Good job out there my friend.

@mike-bp9zp he purchased that card for 400 but it was a psa 6 rating and idk i never got mine graded i wouldnt know till then

1:54 - Two years at the Philly Show, sellers are insane with the Jordan Fleer. Italian couple had three PSA 8s for 12K, 14K and 15K. People across from them had a PSA 7 with a yellow back and two spots on the front for 9K. I talked about comps with the people and it was, "None of those are as nice as ours" ... was looking at another one with no price on it, PSA 8 with solid centering, but some rough edges and offered the guy $6,800 cash in hand. Told me to "get a f'ing clue".
Seriously, is it just the Philly show that is an absolute joke? I've never bought a card there. I've never seen people act like this. The Fishtown show was very nice, but no one bringing big cards like that. Maybe I need to drive out of state. I showed up two straight years with $15,000 cash and not one card. My local shop got bought out on my way home though. Haha.
