I genuinely admire your reaction to the shadow figure. You demonstrated the difference between sincere investigators (who run towards the anomaly) and fakers (who stop, waffle, or even run away, to give their partners time to get out of camera range).

I really really enjoyed the solo commentary, I didn't review that footage so this is the first I'm seeing this, I love it
I gotta say that when I see a debunker that I trust collaborate with paranormal investigators I don't suspect fakery.
Hopefully everyone involved are setting a trend where instead of the feuding and toxicity we'll see the honest investigators and debunkers go to these locations and the viewers get genuine real investigation content.
I have massive respect for everyone involved Dawson and NN for agreeing to do an investigation with their critics and SEG and Joe for joining them so that we can trust that everything is on the up and up.
This sets the standard for how debunkers and investigators can work together in a positive way.
I love this whole thing. I’m only six mins in, but I just love the reconciliation and friendship that blossomed between you and Dawson, I love that you’re doing your own ghost hunts (that’s gotta be an incredible expense of time and money), and are willing to experience things. Looking forward to the rest of the video! (I do like the raw footage of just wandering, btw)
They seem like good dudes. And it was refreshing to see someone go towards the action instead of overreacting. Glad ya had a good time. I've seen a few unexplainable things in my time, and 2 of them I cannot explain in any logical or scientific way whatsoever. One of the things I always wanted paranormal groups to do was show their B-roll footage. Like have a separate video/channel to show off these awesome looking buildings.

I was one of your fans that nearly unsubscribed due to your initial video & response to Dawson, and I let you know my feelings in several comments. You did the right thing, and I’m back on as a big fan.
Actually a decent acount of how ghost hunting is without any scary music or acting out. A group of guys standing around, talking to gadgets . The debunker with the creepy mask being the most scary thing in a haunted building is pretty ironic .

Awesome that you grew in understanding things that happen when the camera is off and how personal experiences, while they can be unreliable, can't be dismissed. Also, I'm so proud of how you Rambo'd it when you thought you saw a shadow figure! That's the way the investigators need to do it. Don't just claim to see something and not investigate, but go and see!

OK, mad props for the excellent camera work on your first investigation. It's not easy to be that steady in a creepy environment like that. Next, I was so proud when you took off Immediately towards the shadow to see what it was, and even more so when you made sure to show every angle when you got there. It's almost commonplace nowadays for ghost hunters to A. Not go investigate the shadow Immediately, and B. Only show the left or right side when they get there. Almost like they're telling us someone had to sneak out of the shot. Ah, let's not forget the 2 or 3 cuts necessary to walk from point a to point b. So props to you SEG. These larger ghost hunter channels could take several lessons from this one, but we know they won't.

Great video! Cool to see you in my home state. Good call on the cough. It feels more logical to always assume something isn’t paranormal unless the evidence is clear. Also, I get evidence not always being captured on camera, but I give it a bit more consideration when the investigator(s) state that because it wasn’t captured that it shouldn’t be used as evidence. And I know that’s exactly how you would treat it.
I’m an open skeptic too. I’d love to experience something, so I’m excited to see you do more.
Great video! Brushy mtn is a crazy place, I have known a couple of people one was a guard there and the other spent time there and I’ve heard some crazy stories anyway it’s awesome that you came to TN , if you would have drove about 15 or 20 minutes down the mtn you could have went by the old Harriman hospital and made a short clip of you standing there with a tripod in the chair , waiting a few seconds and then slap it down or something, hope you had a great time in America!

Good to se you getting into the thick of it SEG. It gives us peons an actual look into these locations that most of us don't have the time and money to visit.
Would have been awesome if you really had caught something on your very first hunt. But I think your Michael Myers-like mask might have scared the ghosts away. 😉 But is was actually a cool place to visit, and it showed what can happen: both you and Dawson hear a noise. But because it's acutally the brain and not the ears responsible for what you hear, each of you heard something different. And you saw Joe who did not even realize he was on camera and thought of him a shadow figure. It's very easy to come to wrong conclusion, that's why it is so important to try and debunk yourselves and not jump on the ghost train so fast. Great video, looking forward to more investigations. I'm glad that the teams there did not use any phone apps.

The only thing that I would say....and this is just from my experience investigating with 6 people ( which I paid for ALL OF IT) to Jaimie Brocks family...is...that
That place echoes terribly....and any sound can be suspect when people go off in different directions...so that contamination is more likely to happen....Bill( my husband) and I talk about returning but with only 4 peeps and staying pretty much together....that wsy u can sit still in the cell blocks...ect...and listen and record...also..environment plays into that to...there's a river running by the prison...soooo...although we are paranormal investigators....we also are serious....about what we do and debunk everything.

There are so many hard surfaces in that decaying building I don't think I'd trust anything I thought I heard. Is the power completely off in the building? I did notice some security lighting. I'd assume noises in the courtyard could be wildlife moving around, I spied some open windows and those window grates are large enough for small critters to get through and critters don't always care how much noise they make or what they knock over if they aren't afraid of predators right then. But it was nice to see an investigation where people didn't freak the eff out over every little noise!
