I've been meaning to react/debunk Ghost Adventures for a while and they didn't disappoint. Lots of fun. Hope you enjoy watching this as much as i did making it.

Reading through the comments of the video, I just want to defend my use of GhostTube by saying GhostTube SLS is not GhostTube, it’s an offset program of the company entity ‘GhostTube’; one created by Jarrad Cutting who has a Computer Science & Software Engineering degree.
So the comments saying it is not accurate, it’s quite literally the exact same software Zak and the Crew here are using, tweaked for usage for a mobile device.
Under the ‘GhostTube’ entity banner they have; GhostTube, GhostTube VOX, GhostTube Seer & GhostTube SLS.
I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to Jarrad personally over the creation of these apps, and have had first hand experiences with the usage of them with Jarrad.
Please feel free to share your thoughts, or ask any questions you please; I just thought I would add some extra information behind my research & debunks in assisting SEG with this video.

I'm a bit confused, do you think that the Ghost Tube SLS works for finding ghosts or not? Your video showed it mapping a BBQ and a cat, and your comment leads me to believe you think it works. This isn't me picking, or being negative, I am just genuinely confused as to whether you believe it works or doesn't.
@@Jaye-Jae I believe it has the capacity to find human shape figures, sure. It seems that all the software needs in order to trigger a “reaction” is distinguishable linework that can be interpreted/misinterpreted as a torso and appendages (arms & legs).
Random line work, such as the “portal burst” as claimed by Zak and the Crew could simply be lines in the concrete, or shadows laid on the floor in such angles that the software is reading which then maps a “portal burst” of randomised lines because it can’t work out what should be the arms, legs or torso - because it isn’t really there.
I can’t say for sure whether it actually reads spirits, I’ve not had experience myself using it to believe that it would. But I simply just don’t know.

@jackscheer7918 how would it be possible, if it's chief rogramming into to map out human shapes it sees as stated , to map out " invisible" shapes. Even so called full spectrum cameras show nothing visible when these sls figures appear on some videos.
Look I love amy and jarred. They're both bright and I believe sincer people who believe on what they do. But the so called science behind this is a yesteryear to me. Can you explain it
Ok again not being negative but if programmed to scan for human figures…like the Xbox 360 Kinect could do, how is it detecting anything invisible that has no mass? Real question.
@@bretwalker I can’t explain the technological or schematic sides of it, I am a Law & Historical Conversationalist Student so that side goes over my head. I agree completely with what you say however, I’m simply stating that it is easy for the software to map what it thinks it needs to be mapping.
For example, with the BBQ - a very obvious human shape appeared because the BBQ and plant behind it gave the distinguishing humanoid body shape of head, torso, arms & legs. But when it switched to my cat laying down; it send it into a mini “portal burst” because of the angle she was at plus her tail; it couldn’t appropriately map where the “body” is, so it was a mess of lines.
This same thing can happen with any imperfections in a building holding the camera against a prison cell door for a personal example, the software may be triggered enough that an imperfection in the wall/door will trigger a reading of some sort; whether that be a “portal burst” or a human-like figure.
Edit to say I too love Amy & Jarrad, and find them to be very sincere & honest. Plus, Jarrad has some wicked dad jokes.
I used to love this show, way back when they first started. They did legit investigations and lots of history on the locations. Then Zak tried to strangle his own self on Goatmans Bridge & I stared in disbelief, then burst out laughing till I cried. 😂 Zak's ego is bigger than his interest in the truth now.

I used to love this show over 10 years ago. But after the 3rd or 4th season, I started noticing a change and felt it was becoming less and less genuine. Now I see clips from recent seasons, and just laugh.
They were never interested in the truth. Anytime you see ghost hunters, just remember they're not interested in the truth. If they were, they would have hundreds of copies of each piece of equipment, people would be proposing confounding variables constantly. There's never any discussion of potential models to explain ghosts (called forming a hypothesis.), no experimentation, no methodology details, nothing. It's not science. And if you're chasing something that may or may not exist, you gonna need to science the shit out of it. And nobody ever does.
Side note: if you're a ghost hunter and want consultations on improving the scientific credibility of your ghost hunting, I have a free write up I can send that covers the majority of issues at a surface level. If you want on site consultation then I'm okay with that, I just take minimum wage for every hour I'm in the area whether actively working or not and my room and board should be covered. If you want a working wage, it's $80/hr + room and board to tell you you done fucked up.
I can't tell you how to prove or disprove ghosts, if I could, I would have done that already and possibly changed science.
What I can do is improve the credibility of your group, not through PR campaigns, but through strict adherence to the scientific method.
Couldn't have said it better myself. And don't you love how he's magically become a sensitive/medium and he's " feeling" stuff all the time, usually anger and starts verbally and close to physically attacking everyone at some points in time usually towards poor Aaron. Good lord!!!!

I have been to Scotty’s Castle with my parents as a kid. It is beautiful. There is nothing remotely scary about the place unless you have an irrational fear of south western decor.

Zag Bagins and Ghost Adventures is a prime example of where fame and money go to your head.
I remember reading an interview with Nick Groff, one of Zaks original hunters and good friend from college, that Nick said in interview in the original first season, most, if not all of the footage and investigation was real and genuine with actual real reactions and unexplained activity. He went on to say that as the seasons of the show went on, Zak got more confident and wild with ideas of how to entertain people and frequently used to deliberately cause jump scares and started to fake stuff on their hunts, just to make it entertaining if actual unexplained activity didnt happen. Thats why Nick went on to explain why he left the show in series 5 or 6 because it moved away from ghost hunting and became more of an entertainment show, and Zak started to become very selfish and arrogant as the fame got to his head. Shame, really.
what a blast from the past! I remember Zak,the orbs flying everywhere, ghosts asking for 'help' on evp, he always used to go home with obligatory 3 scratches, and Aaron, the bald one, used to get possessed by a demon, staring at the wall solemnly, like the kid from blair witch project. oh and Zac has asthma, hence the mask
Ohhhh now the mask makes more sense. I always thought it was another over dramatic thing… so there is a little truth to wearing it. I had bad asthma for my childhood and most of my adult life. Some changes to the way I live my life made it go away completely. I was diagnosed with COPD. So some of my doctors don’t believe me at all that my asthma and lung issues were ever that bad because they don’t exist anymore. I don’t think I would ever have worn a mask. Even as bad as my lungs and bronchial tubes were. Unless there was mold or smoke. Just saying. Still a little overkill.

The people thatqork with him that back in the early days I sucked up some bad shit im a particurly dirty and damp location which landed him in the hospital for quite a while it scaed him. so now he's extremely paranoid a about his lungs and airways ( as not being able to beath would do.( and unless he's home most the time he's wearing a mask. Even putting one in between takes of the show when he's nor wearing one on camera... so is that a phobia...? I m not sure ..he's a very eccentric guy

Oh boy! I've been to Scotty's Castle many times. I am so glad I had text you my feelings about Zak, so I don't sound like I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The first thing I notice is WHY ARE THEY WEARING SHOES? No one is allowed in the castle with shoes. Besides that, it's very well known why the castle was built. Scotty was a con man who had been swindling a rich guy named Mr Johnson who lived in Chicago. Scotty was telling Mr J that there was a mine that he was investing in. Mr J came to see the work and saw nothing but loved the area and decided to build a vacation home for he and his wife. Nothing nefarious went on. The castle was not completed because they found out it was partially on gov land. Scotty's dog died there and is buried on a hill behind the castle. Can't recall what happened to Scotty. Mr J was known to be very religious so I'm certain if he could haunt Zak and that medium, it would be on. My favorite room was the music room. Now, that was Spooky. All the instruments played on a pully system that made it appear as if they were playing on their own. You did a brilliant job here. So funny. I still can not stand what Zak stands for and yet, he still continues to make millions being a 100% fake. Thanks again! Wish the castle would open again but it was hit just recently with another flood and the roads are undrivable.

I know this is late to the game, but regarding your question close to the beginning of this video about why Zack is wearing a pink mask. It’s because those types of rebreather masks have different levels of filtration, and those levels are color coded with pink being one of the finer filtration levels. Just figured I would comment since I haven’t seen anyone else comment that yet. Hope that helps!

Ghost Adventures was good when it first began, loved the retelling of the history of the places they visit. Then they went ott with all the guff that comes along with reality TV. It was clear from then on it became more about entertainment than actual proper ghost investigation.
Watched a few of the newer episodes a few months ago and s25 e12 was hilarious. 2 of them were down in the cells, heard a loud noise and freaked out and ran away. Funny stuff.
One of them claimed to have been attacked/grabbed and his jacket was ripped but on replay you can clear see the other guy pushing him out of the way and slamming him into the cell where his jacket got caught. So stupid. 😂😂😂

Zak has a mask cuz he claims he has severe problems with his lungs due to exposure from all the bad things he’s previously experienced. As to why it’s pink, dunno. Maybe he’s trying to appeal to people who like pink?
I’ve never watched this show and I realize I definitely didn’t miss out on anything except wasting my time.
I’m convinced this show and others like it are made for 10 & 12 year olds. They’re the ones gullible enough to believe all of this bad acting and dramatics. I can picture kids being so invested in their evidence and upset by all of their near death experiences and demon possessions.

So Scotty's Castle has now become haunted? Fascinating! When I use to go there as a kid, it was anything but "creepy". Ghost Adventures has always been silly to me, and I don't understand how anyone could take them seriously. I got burned out on them a long time ago.
I would be curious what you would think about Amy's Crypt. They are one of my favorite shows, but would love your take on them. This was fun to watch.

There's so few genuine channels on YT now. I love Paranormal Quest too, and watch Paranormal Encounters as well (plus a couple more).
There's many that start out genuine, then get a whiff of money and suddenly there's demons everywhere 🙄.
@lindatannock Amy's crypt rocks. They don't fake ( at least I don't think they do, who knows these days) but they do seem to think every bump in the night is a ghost. And being coowners of the ghost tube apps I believe they put too much faith in them. But I love them and they are decent people...

In the early days there was an episode where they are in the basement and Aaron clearly punches an air vent then freaks out like he doesn’t know what made that noise. Zac does a replay and says “you can clearly see Aaron did not touch the vent”. My daughter was watching with me and said “Sure okay Zac, okay”. We rewinded it a million times and died laughing each time. Whoever edited that video for them purposely left that in. I still watch them bc it is funny.

I did really enjoy early GA. The early episodes were seasoned with a healthy amount of comedy. I remember an episode where Zak got excited and ran full tilt down a dark hallway expecting the other guys to keep the light on him (they didn't), and he ended up smashing face first into a door.

Just a side note about the Buffalo Bill reference, at the end of the movie, agent Starling goes into Bill's basement, Bill turns off the lights and uses night vision goggles to stalk good ol Clarice in the darkness.
