  • It is true that NIMC has license verification partners, however, identities of Nigerians have not been breached, we do not have Data harvesters on our platform, the data of Nigerians are unequivocally safe with NIMC

For the sake of the sanity of Nigerians, I move a motion for “assure” to be scraped out of the dictionary! Jeez!!! That’s the most overused word in the government’s lingo yet it holds no promise.

Please this Nimc should unlock my Nin number that has been suspended for months now.
I literally can't do my sim welcome back and the nimc Owerri and Ph head offices are saying that its a nationwide stuff, I don't just understand.

Data breach happens all the time in advanced nations. The duty of the government is to make sure that they spend money and put measures in place to make sure that it never happens again. The West might pay props to steal our data if they can get their hands on it and just log it in their data base. Such information can be used to hurt and attack Nigeria from food security to gaining an advantage over us in commerce and industry.

Yes, they charge citizens N8k,10k before they will offer NIN and if they make mistake may be you come back for correction, they still charge N7k before correction.

19:40 This attempted "security through obscurity" is an embarrassment. Please don't let this one represent Nigeria abroad 🙏🏾

Why is that dude saying it's "Digital and not Analogue" The fact that it's digital is why we are having this conversation in the first place! What an unconvincing presentation!

Rufais approach to ''grilling guests'' borders on utterly disgraceful, he needs to be called to order. Custodians of public trust particularly pertaining to safeguarding data need to be held to account when they have cause to be, but Rufais manner was unnecessarily antagonistic.

    Big lie , many people
Can not access their Nin.What is the meaning of nin modification when people can’t use their nin. Everything in Nigeria is like rocket science

  • @israelchukwuemeka3199

in everything these guys said, they fail to understand that Data protection rights, should be enforced on third parties that consume your data, you should have terms and conditions that prohibits external parties from saving your data on their servers, they can only read and not saved on their servers.
The issue here is that NIMC is not enforcing data protection rights on their third party API consumers, even if they claim their servers are secured

These guys are just saying what they don't know. No confidence/assurance in what they say. Why? Because they are just there as administrative officers. Contractors are the ones doing the main jobs.
Just the same was ministry or works will award the construction of drainage within their office compound to contractor.
I still don't know why they need to create wallet in the card. They just add that so that they will have justification for asking people to buy they card at high rate. For decards, they failed to roduced the cards, now, they are adding wallet to it. Just chasing shadows. You better concentrate on your database and identity.
