apc has turned Nigeria courts to supper market where you can go and buy judgment, let Nigeria again wait for the judgment, nothing will surprise Nigerians again. today someone that took 4th position in gubernitoria election is a governor, Akpabio and Amend Lawal that didn't participate in senatorial primary/ election are today senators, let politicians destroy the country and all of us we enjoy it.

This is one of the reasons I say that most Nigerian laws have bogus and different interpretations because the lawmakers themselves make sure they corrupt the whole system!!! How difficult is it that it is already stipulated in the law that if a party gives you a platform to serve and for any reason you decide to leave that same part to join another party, the seat you were given by the first party apparently becomes vacant??? It’s just common sense!!! But because our people are wicked and believe that judgement can be bought, they buy liars who are ready to give different interpretations to the exit so that they can corruptly steal a mandate!!! Our politicians are evil!!

The court comes in when an aggrieved preson or persons approach the court for due interpretation of the position of the law.
Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Speaker or the executive arm of government to execute the law.
All said, the court with competent jurisdiction will interpret the law as its judgment and perhaps issue consequential order if need be.

Dr. Abati, you should know better as a lawyer that Martins Amaewhule is the current speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly as it stands, because of a judgment of the Abuja Federal High Court headed by the honorable Justice Omotosho. The judgment recognizes Amaewhule as the speaker, and it has not been set aside by a higher court.

Everyone knows that the Appeal court talks about jurisdiction only. There was no categorical statemement whether they are still members or not.

I am deeply concerned with the way the anchors on this program cut off guests mid sentence. It is rude and disrespectful. I expect that the Director of the program communicates time and more to the anchors, who in turn should pace or allocate time to the guests accordingly and not abruptly cut the speaker off.
I have enjoyed Abati’s writings over the years but I find his questioning, attempt at jokes and sometimes condescending manner of addressing guests very disturbing. He could learn a thing or two on being an anchor from watching renowned major cable network news anchors.
