The major challenge is food inflation primarily caused by insecurity and low productivity.
The government needs to tackle these issues.

Unfortunately, we have for so long had and still have govts that don't know how to apply palliatives in Nigeria. They prefer to share =N= trillions to unknown large numbers of nigerians they claim to be poor but can not be verified since there is hardly any data to back their claim. The right approach should have been to flood the market with cheaper foodstuffs from neighbouring african countries to bring down high prices.

Food exportation is the main issue, all farmers are exporting their proceed. There is a large community of Nigeria in japa eating Nigeria foods. Best Nigerian foods are outside the country.

@@wellswaterllc-ji7nl If that is the case, why not place a ban on export of these dire foodstuffs and import to replace the ones that farmers have already exported to help drive down food prices?.

CBN should be more creative and increase CRR while lowering interest rate at the same time. This will reduce liquidity, and the reduced interest rate will stimulate economic growth and productivity.

Where is this one hundred trillion naira? Does CBN think it is all in the economy? Check the safes in Thiefnubu and his cohorts homes. It would be easier to go to their homes to mop up the funds rather than waiting to collect them from the economy via raised interest rates. Stop killing Nigerians.

Under whose administration was the illegal corrupt naira redesign policy?
Feb 2023 - ... Peter Obi, has expressed his support for the Naira redesign exercise carried out by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
Naira Redesign: Peter Obi urges Nigerians to be patient with CBN
“The currency redesign is not peculiar to Nigeria. It is an exercise that comes with some inconveniences and pains but it has significant long-term economic and social benefits,” Obi said
I urge Nigerians to bear with the CBN and federal government with the hope that the general populace and Nigeria will harvest the gains that will come with the reforms

STOP THE LIES ! With your corruption; misplaced priorities of projects, incompetence, ineptitude in governments and excessive, inordinate spending and consumption in government ?
Peter Obi, NEVER advocated the lies and twisted thinking; you are expressing here !
Obi , as a leader, is not corrupt, is not a previous criminal gang leader, competent, capable and has run 3 banks successfully, etc.
Unlike a president, who is running away from public media chat to discuss his policies and answer any questions from journalists and the public/citizens !

Why should anyone believe whatever the EU central bank governor and the US fed is saying about the EU and US economy? For as long as anyone knows, they lie, they lie and they lie so why believe them?
What is wrong with reducing interest rates if you know it can be got back through higher taxes of those who benefit from the lower interest rates? It is called balancing the equation. There is nothing wrong with that and pls, all that talk about N100 trillion printed into circulation is false and misinformation. If such money is actually in circulation, the poverty rate in nigeria will be lower and not at an all time high. Simple common sense, simple logic. 👏

@faskwillad4765 8th January 2023 (a month before the president election & 5 months before Tinubu’s announcement at his inauguration)
Channels TV presidential debate anchored by Maupe Ogun
Video still on Channels TV CZcams page till date
Why fuel subsidy will go IMMEDIATELY if I am elected - Peter Obi
Obi revealed this on Sunday alongside his running mate Datti Baba-Ahmed at the Channels Television’s Townhall series on Sunday.
Verbatim, peter obi's response to question
"Well, they (Buhari's administration - an admittance that Buhari did remove it) have removed it. That's what they have done. But I have got to ASSURE you that it will go IMMEDIATELY
“ Subsidy is an organised crime, I CANNOT ALLOW IT TO STAY A DAY LONGER..."
“FIRST WE REMOVE IT, secondly, we will deal with the other remaining issue, we need the money to be able to invest in critical social development issues"
The lady that asked the question gave peter obi 100 days grace into his incumbency. Peter obi was unequivocal that he can't allow it to go a day longer. Aka, day one, it's gone.
      8th January 2023.
Buhari is still very much the president
The election has not been conducted.
Therefore, tinubu was not the president or declared winner of the election
Here is peter obi telling you they (the Buhari's administration) had removed fuel subsidy.
This is a bitter truth. It's the truth no matter the quantum of lies curated and purveyed. This will forever stand as the truth of what peter said
