Hey guys, been a while since I did a video but I've had this project in mind for some time now. Took a good few days to gather the raw materials and a few more of fiddling with Pro Tools, Fireworks and Windows Movie Maker (which will crash if you so much as look at it the wrong way)!
Anyway, this video might be a little slow for some people and this is version 1.0 so there's always room for improvement. Please leave some comments (constructive criticism more than welcome) if there's anything you'd like to know or think I should change.
    Hope you enjoy it!

Very interesting review. The thing about the sliders being wired "backwards" is easily explained: my guess is that many keyboard players of the time were used to variants of the drawbar design of hammond organs, so the sliders are actually designed to emulate drawbars, rather than conventional volume controls for the voices.

Now that's what I call a proper informative video. Well done. CZcams is too full of idiots who buy old analogue stuff and then just make videos of them making noises.

Thanks for this good and clear video. However, the Solina String Ensemble was originally made by a dutch company called Eminent. Later Arp bought it in hope to recover there almost bankrupt company and rereleased it.
    Cheers,
    Maarten

The reason for the sliders being wired the "wrong" is to make it familiar to organ players...
