- The plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant, and one day, her home got raided by the FBI. Then, her home got burglarized by the downstairs neighbors. She says the defendant illegally locked her out of her apartment, so she’s suing for unreturned property and rent returned. The defendant argues she offered the plaintiff an opportunity to pick up her belongings.

The plaintiff should’ve just took the deal when the defendant offered to give her her security deposit and let her move out. She already made it clear she didn’t feel comfortable continuing to live there anyway.
Got that deposit asap & peace out
Yep but that's the greed of people who think the world revolves around them and they are entitled to everything and nothing is their responsibility!
Yep!! -plaintiff saw a money making opportunity & figured she’d take the poor landlady to court who stored her stuff for free, when other landlords would have tossed it to the curb! No wonder her life is such a mess!!SMH😮
Exactly. But then she would’ve had to come get her stuff. And she finally told the truth,” she had no where to put it.” The defendant should’ve counter sued and made her pay three months storage.
She couldn't see the forest, for the trees
What a joke. She was looking for a come up. I love this judge
The plaintiff is such a liar. She said, The FBI raided her apartment based on "false" accusation. But, she doesn't know what the accusations were 🤔. How does she know the accusations are false, If she doesn't even know what the accusations are ? Good Bye Lady.
If she and her family were threatened, I think she's correct to be reluctant to provide the details.
The boyfriend would have sung like a canary if he had been called up to give evidence. FBI wouldn't just raid a house on a tiny complaint, they would have been watching them for weeks before striking.

The landlord went above and beyond. Reminds me of a tenant I had years ago that got locked up. 6 months later calls me and says 'where is my stuff'. I was expected to hold the place and her things while locked up.....BTW I had no idea she was locked up she and her kids were suddenly gone and all I could assume was that they abandoned the place. Some trifling greedy person with no life trying to scam.
She knows dam well the big dogs don’t raid your place about small and insignificant matters. It was something big for the FBI to show up at your doorstep. She is too embarrassed to admit what it really was.
The plaintiff is suing for her items. Wins by being able to retrieve her items. And is mad at the judgement. Looking for that come up. FBI raids because of texts???? Sure
Because she is scared the Defendant most likely either sold the stuff, or the conditions her belongings were stored in, left them tarnished/wrecked (she said it was a moldy basement, so that's justified) whatever items those are and she feels she should be compensated. I think the Judge misunderstood what the Plaintiff was trying to say. Which she could probably open up another small claims case (I'm hoping she does, and she probably will just a Miss Cleo psychic feeling I have lol) dont know if she will win but she has a seperate case for that.
@@taralen1101plaintiff had zero right to keep her stuff there for that long. The landlord should’ve thrown away her stuff a long time ago. She should be grateful instead of suing the defendant
@@Sayzwhoiknownotyou The only clause is if Defendant isn't allowing her to collect her things/she's being illegally evicted/Defendant has a vendetta against the Plaintiff which she did. Don't explain your thoughts on her rights to her, Judge. She's just taking pointers for how to better scam the next landlord!!
Incredible story!
I disagree with this case. People's court commenters are ignorant as hell. Judge Milian had no business prying on the semantics of the FBI swat case which if the case is closed (I'm 100 percent sure it is) and supposing the Plaintiff isn't perjurying herself, she said it was a false accusation, so leave it at that. I can understand it the case was open, she might sort of have leeway to be nosy. I also think she misunderstood what Plaintiff was trying to say. She was trying to explain that the Defendant wasn't allowing her to get her things, and the locale/address her things are at, ("moldy basement") she feels she should be compensated if anything is lost, stolen, damaged, tarnished. Because if she does agree to the meetup/pickup, who's to say Defendant is going to do her end of the deal and if everything is accounted for and not soiled/wrecked etc. She could open another case for that BTW. So I disagree with all y'all and that's my probably unpopular opinion on this case.
How do you put a door back up with just a nail or two.🙄
The plaintiff knows why her house is raided, it’s because of her boyfriend and she just doesn’t want to say it!
Okay, now I want to know how one texts the FBI 🤣

Take a shot for everytime you hear "um"
1:50 Judge is wrong. Swatting is a thing and it's easy. People do it online ALL the time. They almost quite literally just say "go raid that house"........
Your comment got me doing a little research about what it takes to get all those resources moving. False swatting IS common these days and law, enforcement knows it. The caller has to come up with something compelling, sex trafficking, terrorist, kidnapping, fugitive, etc. I felt like she was unprepared for the question or not wanting to get into it. Plus, I would feel self conscious with all the tv crew lights... and then the judge. It is also really dangerous for the caller if one gets busted for false calls, jail, penalties, profile. People who make these calls serially, and last year a kid got busted for that, go to extremes to create false identities and burner cell phones, be untraceable etc. All the more reason to not want to be an influencer or you tuber lol! Too many jealous and vindictive people.
She didn’t get swatted; she was “FBIed”, which takes a lot more than one phone call or text.
What kind of landlord doesn’t do background checks on potential tenants??
It is. FBI false raids are very common. It just takes one person you thought you could trust/was your friend, or a rivalry you have on the internet, and they can pull a stunt like that over false accusations/drama etc. it can happen like that etc; and I love your Usagi/Sailor Moon avatar. People court commenters are dumb as hell. I think the Judge had no business prying onto her business like that, other than verifying if the case is closed. If it was an open pending case, I could understand her being nosy. I also think Judge Milan misunderstood why Plaintiff can't/is unable/doesn't want/probably can't use the items the Defendant was storing anymore as she said it was a "Moldy basement", which she could open up a separate small claims case if this is correct.
@@luteydog Q: "What kind of landlord doesn’t do background checks on potential tenants??" A: I think the kind who is lazy, greedy and involved in a lucrative illegal activity.
This Tenant is looking a free ride
Look at what she chose!!! A real winner. But it's the landlords fault.
It was a misunderstanding because the plaintiffs front door wasn’t kicked in. They nailed the bathroom door that was kicked in and left her home unlocked when they left. That’s why she said the landlord is responsible for the break in. But yea she should’ve took the deposit and used it for her storage fees until she found somewhere else.
How is any of this the landlord's fault? It seems to me the lady was doing everything she could to help the tenant, who doesn't appreciate it at all. If the tenant doesn't want trouble in her life maybe she shouldn't do things that see the FBI knocking down her door. A single text message doesn't get the attention of the FBI for no reason, they don't involve themselves in local disputes, that's what the local police are for. I don't believe a word this woman says.
“UM” is driving me UM crazy… I can’t finish watching…
Maybe she should have sued the FBI for raiding her apt.
