Nah he got exactly what he deserved, what goes around comes around. Give that prisoner an award, he did what the justice system couldn’t. I’m glad he was alive for most of the torture, I hope he felt the same fear and pain all those poor helpless children felt when he abused them.

Yeah feel the same on a personal level as I was sexually assaulted at 14 (I’m 21 now and fine). But I’m glad we live in a civilised country where we don’t execute and torture people.
We could do that, but then in the end, you might as well say “well, what’s the difference. We all do it. The hell with these principles. I’m
Just gonna go and be a savage to anyone I don’t like”. Like the sexual predator who actually did this guy in - can’t imagine his victims love the fact he’s lauded as a hero but then this is why we have courts.
Because we would all kill and torture if given total power and nothing to restrain us. And that’s the really scary thing that a lot of poets particularly Holocaust survivors realised was the most frightening truth - that anyone is capable in the right conditions. Most people deny that because it’s too uncomfortable. But given power over another individual peoples minds turn to torture quickly.

I was first raped at age 2 1/2. From then on, I suffered every type of abuse imaginable from family, friends of family, and strangers until I was in my mid twenties. I have major ptsd as a result. And, because of the damage done to me starting at such an early age, I was never able to carry a child past the end of my second trimester. And, even getting pregnant to begin with was miraculous. So, I lost four babies in total. I’m fifty six now, so, yeah, no children for me. Instead I have my rescue dog. And I’ve always rescued dogs and cats. They’re my children. I also do not believe that anyone can or should use abuse as a reason to abuse others. It just doesn’t jibe with me. I know I would never ever under any circumstance want to make anyone else feel like I did and then to feel like I do. I just don’t buy that excuse! And, for anyone out there who has gone through mental, emotional, physical, and or sexual abuse, there’s a really great program called ASCA, adult survivors of child abuse. Please look into whether or not there’s a group in your city or town. It’s a fantastic program and costs nothing. And, also, for those of you who were abused, I am so sorry that happened to you. So very very sorry. 💖

Appears to me that some people aren't aware that many child molesters tend to have traits of psychopathy.
I would strongly suggest anyone wondering why there are such problems in the judicial system, at least Google " the Top ten jobs that attract psychopaths". Am I saying molesters are all psychopaths ? NO.
The thing these people do have in common, is a key component to a clinical diagnosis for either - which is a lack of EMPATHY.
However do take notice of those positions that psychopaths gravitate towards, because many of those are actual child molesters.
Not going into the details of it but I have personal knowledge of this fact.

I work on a federal internet crimes against children taskforce in the US. Something very disturbing that doesn't seem to be talked about often is that within the never ending sea of photos and videos we receive and go thru...in the past let's say 5yrs there has been a HUGE increase in photos and videos being traded and sold that are being taken from the children's parent's social media. These are seemingly "innocent" moments. However when viewed with the eyes of a pedophile they become something horrifying. I wish parents would stop sharing their children with the world. I get it. I'm a mom. But believe me when I tell you that your trip to the beach is being used in ways that would make you physically sick. Please be very careful what you put out to the world. Share things with very close family and friends only. Lock things down. I have seen hundreds of thousands of photos and videos that no one would give a second thought to, being sold and traded among pedo groups. Sadly we do not have the time or resources to back trace every photo and video and that means that you will never know that your child has been victimized. What is normal to you is getting a sick POS off. This pos met a perfect end IMO. If only this happened more often. Maybe I would feel that there was some justice. Sadly I'm at a point where I don't see that often. I also want to thank this channel for the changes it made to being hearing impaired friendly. I broke a bone in my ear years ago and I have to wear headphones but I also cannot separate sounds such as background music from speech. I mentioned this once and was immediately contacted and the changes where made! This creator is awesome. Thank you for bringing attention to these cases and please take care of yourself. One of them, I’ll call him Dave, he and I never spoke, he was not someone I would have called a,friend, went too. Two weeks they spent in Thailand. One day I’m sitting in the back office doing the accounts. In walks Dave. As usual he doesn’t speak to me but he just stands there. About ten minutes later, feeling uncomfortable I say are you OK Dave? He bursts into tears. And recounts what happened in Thailand. I was so shocked. When I asked him why he told me, I thought we didn’t get on. He said, I knew you’d understand. He had refused to enter red light areas with the group after the first night the group had spent there. Paedo tourism IS a thing. Lived in a small town as a kid and a 40 yo unmarried man used to go on ‘holidays’ to Thailand twice a year. It was a common small town secret that he was going over there to ‘see’ young boys. He was eventually caught ‘seeing’ local young boys by finding the kids from families whose parenting was less than opitimal and taking advantage of that.

You're not wrong about Thailand and what happens there. Its frankly blatant - I've been there a few times and you can walk down the main tourist streets of Bangkok or Pattaya or any other area and see middle aged white men hand in hand with extremely young girls and boys, many are clearly children. The bars are full of it, the markets, and these people feel safe because its so rife. There are lots of reasons why kids end up in the sex trade but poverty is a huge factor of course, and my understanding is that the families are at least sometimes aware of what is happening. The fact that they may feel that is their best option for survival is a topic in itself, but many, many others are told that their child will be put to work as bar staff or cleaners in the big hotels and are trafficked directly into sex work. I'm sure it's a very complex issue but the bottom line is that these people feel free enough to come to places like Thailand and openly walk the streets with the children they are abusing. It's just heartbreaking.

Omg just found your channel Emma - I'm a big fan of true crime stuff and I'm also an old school youth worker - I imagine you are fab working with yp - anyway just wanted to give you big ups, so love how in depth you go breaking things down and really exploring these horrendous people and their behaviours, so much better than the usual glorifying and voyeuristic documentaries - love it - big love ❤️

Often get the impression this POS's crimes got swept under the carpet. Thank you Emma. The world needs to know in order to try to preempt future such atrocities

This was a really, really tough case to get through. I have to say, I'm not surprised that his life ended the way it did. I'm not going to shed a tear over that. The heavy feeling I'm left with is due to the calculated cruelty of the perpetrators, and the enormous number of helpless victims. I really wish that western countries would join together and go in full force with enormous resources, both in education of the families of potential victims and catching the vermin.

Really fascinating analysis on such a disturbed mind. I agree that nobody deserves to meet their end in such a grisly way but it’s difficult to summon up sympathy; even his own parents didn’t have the stomach to support him. I think this type of child abuse is worse than some types of murder, he had no regard for these innocent children, they were just playthings to be discarded and left broken. It’s impossible for right thinking people to comprehend that level of inhumanity.

People who played The Sims 1 and 2 back in the day may well have met this guy online as he was active in the fandom. I did. Gives me the shivers now to think back. He talked about his charity work.

Just how do these people walk among us and no one around them is aware of how depraved, how sick and evil they are? They don’t deserve to live among us 😭So glad he no longer does.

Holy cow ! Only just caught up with this episode as I've heard of him before so had to brace myself...and it's equally horrifying and fascinating. Thanks Emma for explaining the difference between paedophilia and child molestation and also answering my question as to why there seems to be so much more child abuse right now. I also agree with what you say about being a westerner abroad - I lived and worked in Kenya and yep, spot on. Terrifying the opportunities for abuse. I'm also really torn as to this pricks ending. The bit of me that has humanity agrees that nobody deserves this kind of death... but on the other hand karma is a powerful thing ! I enjoy all Emma's content (although I don't think enjoy is the right word for this), and love her approach. ❤

I really love how you take the time for speaking and sharing your life experiences. You seems to be a beautiful woman with a lot of knowledges,I didn't know that IRL you work in the psychology field but I'm not surprised. Anyway, thank you a lot for your dedication, for your sweetness and I really like the fact that you never judge or insult the convinced persons like others can do. It's easy to call them monsters, but monsters doesn't exists, they're human who committed monstrous acts.
Take a good care and greeting from Paris 💙❤💙

Emma, I truly appreciate your insight into minds like this. Thank you. You mentioned the massive increase in child abuse during lockdown & how you need to protect your children more now than ever. I have two small children & feel rather helpless in protecting them. What more can we be doing to try to keep them safe in what sometimes seems a terrifying world? Any tips would be gratefully received x
