I first saw you on Britain's Darkest Taboos when Season 1 first aired and the way you revealed your insight into how abusers work made me realise I was being abused by some of my family members. This then gave me the courage to stand up for myself and communicate my issues with them, which we never did before. It was the beginning of a much healthier relationship. They apologised to me and now it's years later and we have a relationship which is so much more loving and open now. My mental health has improved. This has made it easier for me to form relationships outside my family. I always wanted to tell you that. You have no idea what you've done for me and family. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and insight and helping so many families improve their relationships. God has sent you down as a mercy🙂❤

Emma “I don’t want to be judgy”
Me “Do it” 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
My daughter is 14 if she ever brought home a 20 year old man I would frog March him out of my house, lock her in the house and call the police.
How can you ignore that kind of behaviour or see it as 'a teen being a teen'
Exactly !! … and I’m right there with you… and wtf is wrong with a 20 year old trying to date a 14 year old child?!?!?!
When I was 14 I only wanted older guys. They turned me on. Couldn't stand boys my age.
Honestly I think if parents know something like that is going on and they don't report it, I think they should also be charged with something. I know Emma doesn't judge and it's not our job to but it is a fundamental failure to safeguard your child and others to not alert the police of a pedophile
@@georgiamold5135 exactly! How many other young girls had he been with? Or be with after?

“Gary Stretch is 7ft 3inches, I imagine he has to fold himself in 3 to get in a car!” 💀 🤣

N u know Wats funny, he used to rob houses😆 creeping around at 7ft 3 lol
I died there 😂😂
I'm sorry but it's hilarious that such a tall person is named Stretch - what are the odds!
"I don't want to be judgey" Judge away Emma, it's what we're here for!

It’s a nickname from prison
This happened in my home town, I remember well how shocking it was. Literally 5 mins round the corner from me. Such a sad and avoidable story. Well delivered as always Em x
can't wait :D i recently discovered your channel and i have to say i'm hooked yours is by far the most in depth and thorough of all crime channels plus i love the way you talk about the cases keep up the excellent work Emma
Same! I’ve been a subscriber and knew her CZcams channel for like 2-3 weeks
I still think it's funny that, when Rose West got moved, she kicked up a fuss because she couldn't bake cakes in the new place. Honestly baffling.
What baffles me more is that Rose West was moved as opposed to just sending JD to a different prison. Just feeding the control freak even more.
This is a really interesting case of the woman being the dominant partner in a criminal duo. Joanna was bad news before she ever met Gary. I wish there were more true crime media that covered female psychopaths. (Yay, Emma!) Still requesting you cover Abel/Furlan AKA "Ludwig" or any other mission based killers. Thank you for doing what you do! We adore you. ✌️💐
Emma is great being judgie
Hi Emma, love the show, there was a murder of a little boy in the USA, Gabriel Fernandez. I watched this incredibly devastating court case through tears, truly one of the most heartbreaking, brutal cases I ever followed. he was brutally tortured and murdered by his mother Pearl, and stepfather Isauro Aguirre. I would love to hear your take on this case the plight of this little boy deserves not to forgotten and we should learn massive lessons from this heinous murder.
Agreed. Such a horrendous case and Emma's take would be something very interesting and revealing....
Now that is one child and case I remember
She’s also one of these rare woman killers who is pure evil. There are no redeeming qualities in Dennehy she would have kept on killing for years if not caught. Had she been a more organised killer it’s scary to think of how many victims she would have. Again really good analysis Emma
Literally don't know how you can get a thumbs down.
I've seen most of these covered already.
But yours defo stand out from the rest.
How you explain thier mentality.
It's amazing ❤️❤️
Right? I think some people must just going looking for things to dislike or disapprove of. I watch and read alot of true crime, and Emma explains the aspects of each case in a way that is just relatable, more powerful, thorough.
Love, love ,love Emma Kenny. You are so relatable, so humble, so knowledgeable, so incredibly gifted in narrating and I love the fact that you drop in the odd dig at the failings in our policy makers. It's your channel and you can be yourself and that self is a massive hit with the masses. Thank you Em for all the hard work you clearly put in to this channel. So happy for your success. You are the best of British 😊🙂
So lovely to find out about her daughter, what a lovely young girl! Loads of new details here another really good Episode and nice to have a break from the Family crimes. Thank you Emma 🌺 x
I always liked hearing your insights on Britain's Darkest Taboos--how great to find this channel! The psychological aspects of these stories are among the most compelling to me; im glad to see some long-form videos about them. Looking forward to more!
Emma is as usual the highlight of my sunday 😍
My boyfriend when to school with JD, and witnessed her as a child being sort of normal, friendly and nice. It still amazes me how she ended up becoming a killer...
if you look on some ofher photos and cctv footage, for a young woman she has terrible body posture, like oral character structure.. low self esteem and abandonment, feeling of worthlessness can take shape in the physical body over time. I know she didn't contact her family after age 16 which makes me wonder whether they disliked her?
Her daughter is absolutely beautiful! She's everything that her mother just thinks she is - like truly strikingly gorgeous.
I've recently discovered you and one of the things that I find so admirable about you is you treat every victim euth the same respect and honor. Whether they suffered for a minute or weeks you always feel the utmost empathy. I'm addicted to your channel. Thank you for telling the victim's stories when they no longer have a voice ❤️
I thought that I wasn’t going to enjoy this, but I like the honesty, the story/facts pacing , humour and information about the before and after hand of the crime. I thoughtfully enjoyed this topic, as I enjoy true crimes! Thank you Emma and I have subscribed to your channel 😃
I'd love to hear your take on Katherine Knight, the woman who killed her partner, cooked his remains and served them to his kids for dinner. Truly an evil woman and hard to fathom such brutality. Would love to hear an expert take on her crimes.
Omg not heard of that, oh my
this lady was someone who after she did that, NO ONE was surprised she did that
Katherine Knight would be an excellent choice to cover, a super interesting case and such brutality. Another one worth covering from Australia, in my opinion is the Snowtown murders (John Bunting, Jamie Vassaliss and Mark Hendon) a really interesting case of how community vigilantism and skewed morality and brutality creates a horrific cycle of murder.
Thankyou for doing these cases Emma!!!
I look forward to your videos every week!! ❤
Watching this from Kentucky, USA. I have seen different versions of this psychopath's tale and your's is the best one I have seen.I love your use of the English language !!!!! Just a thoroughly enjoyable presentation. Thank you Emma
Probs cus she's English 😶
Completely obsessed with this show ,got a massive girl crush on Emma and tell everyone I know to watch, just wonder how she sleeps at night with all her knowledge !!
Not only really interesting and insightful, but also really hot 🤭
You are so good at this! I always liked to think of myself as some kind of psychology genius (I really am not!) but you are just so insightful you blow me away
Another fantastic video.. Have to admit that this woman really scares me , even though she is locked up for good, I still fear her. I'm really pleased that her kids are doing well.Well done to the dad for being there for them.
I live in Cambridge, not far away from where this woman used to carry out her activity. There is a woman in the gym I go to who looks very similar to Joanne Dennehy and has the exact same tattoo on her face. At least she doesn’t have the “living legend” tattoo on her arm, but even this much resemblance scares the hell out of me.
Just sitting down with a cuppa, ready to watch our Em. Excited for this one xx
“Before you go on about your signature, maybe you should have a look at your eyebrows” WHEN I TELL YOU I SCREAMED 👌🏻👌🏻😂😂 Swear to god Emma you’re the best true crime channel on here, in depth stories mixed with your own opinion, perfect!
I look forward to every Wednesday and Sunday just for these episodes can’t wait for the next one
She makes me shudder ! nice 1 Emma x
I’m with on that😩
My heart breaks for her daughter, she is carrying around the guilt she has no need of. Sending her much love and prayers.
Joanna Dennehy is the most dangerous manipulative and evil individual. This woman should never be released.
Same. She was in a documentary about Dennehy recently and you can tell how rough the situation was for her.

I'd love to hear your thoughts about "Sarah Johnson", Emma - a 16 year old who killed both her parents.
I took this from Wikipedia: "The murder of Diane and Alan Scott Johnson occurred on September 2, 2003. They were shot to death in their Bellevue, Idaho, home by their 16-year-old daughter Sarah Marie Johnson."
I remember seeing her brother's victim impact statement. There was no forgiveness or mercy there. Murder all because the parents didn't approve of the guy she thought she was in love with. Yuck! Talk about the ultimate betrayal. I would love for Emma to cover that case. Great suggestion! Cheers. ✌️
I'm really looking forward to this one Emma! Thanks for all your hard work! 😍😍🛎🛎🎈🎈💙💙💜💜xx
Fold himself in 3 to get in a car...oh how I laughed at that 🤣
what you said about women leaving their kids for good really hit for me bc it has always unsettled me to know that two of my cousins were abandoned by their mother and left with my uncle when they were very young. assumedly bc their mum gave birth at the age of 16 and probably felt overwhelmed by the responsibility of looking after two children, one of which has severe down syndrome and who even in his late 30s lives with my uncle. he was left to take care of his children for a very long time but he does now have a wonderful new wife who cares about his children deeply as well as a new child. this uncle fathers both my oldest and youngest cousins!
Please can you cover the James Bulger case if you haven’t already done this one xxx
EMMA!! Sending you love from Texas!! My daughter and I love love love you! Thank you for your time! ❤️
I have watched many documentaries on Joanna dennehy your podcast is one of the best I have seen nice to see you give your insight without it being edited.really enjoy your channel always worth a watch.
What the actual F went wrong with her? I don't think I've ever heard of a criminal of this magnitude with no apparent trauma, dysfunction, abuse, abondonment or neglect. It's just a baffling case of madness.
I'm looking forward to this one.
Love her quirky take on things. Was good to hear that she’s awake to the bs that’s happening now.💖 would love to hear you do a vid on the Nisha Patel case.
Great videos, keep doing what you’re doing 🤩
I've heard this story told before but yours is definitely the best. Love your channel. Watched all your videos and wait for every Sunday when you upload a new one. ❤
Another fantastic insight into a psychopathic killers background! This one stands alone for me as far as females who kill, she seems beyond the pale in her brutality, her deliberate attempts to inflict as much pain and humiliation as possible. Chilling! Thank you for the update on her daughter ❤️, I hope she can move on and somehow live a peaceful, happy life. Thanks Emma 🥰, much love! Cannot wait for Wednesday and Sunday’s now!
Can't wait. Maybe Shannon Matthews case next? Or S. McDaniel. Love your work!

Emma some of these I've seen done by other true crime tellers! As with this one tour deep deep dives almost make it a different story. Thank you for anilizing them. I'm so glad to have come across your channel! Sorry for the bad spelling new keyboard so it knows nothing and I don't either!!!
love the dodgy eyebrow comment! 😂😂. her daughter is beautiful! hope her family is doing well after such a horrible ordeal!
Thank you Emma. You really know how to tell the facts in a way that gets you involved in the case. I can't wait for the next case. Take care and thank you xx.
Random i know but your hair looks very pretty in this episode :) Good episode too. Thank you .
I love how you treat the victim's stories with such sensitivity. Also what gets me through is your razor sharp humor. Dodgy eyebrows indeed!
Revisiting this case! and I agree with you I think the same when someone goes missing. This is a really excellent eprside, I hope you are well xxx
Very, very well told. I've learned so much more about this case for having listened to your version, which is always the best.
I have the same fascination with Dennehy as I do with Chris Watts. The fact they have no apparent trauma, bad childhoods etc but killed in cold blood and seemed just to became monsters. It's hard to understand and it's scary how easily some people can become capable of such awful things.
I have just been looking at Chris watts too, it really is a chilling case as he appeared so normal.
Great presentation Emma that shows the psychology of a very twisted individual x
It's great you can say what you really want about these cases. Yay 👏
I have watched a lot of true crime, I need your opinion on every case I've ever come across please 🤣 you are incredibly eloquent and intelligent , I appreciate how you give more in depth explanations of psychological processes and effects of trauma, people need to actually understand the reality of living with the aftermath of abuse.if little children can endure abuse then we should bloody well be able to hear about the consequences for them. Thank you.
An alcoholic can stop during pregnancy in the early years of their drinking. The point is there's a definite date to pick up a drink again so it's not stopping for ever and the anticipation of that first drink is a real high.
Wow! Thank you for your comments. Definitely made me think. ✌️
I honestly and truly love Emma!!!! never stop doing these videos 💕
Love hearing your views Emma especially the political ones. You are brilliant! Lived in Hereford for a while after this happened and people are still shocked that had happened in such a quiet and beautiful place .thanks for your amazing content 💕
I have watched so many of these murder stories on CZcams that I now think any murderer that is diagnosed as a psycopath or narcisstic personality should never be released.
She could never in wildest dreams ever be more notorious than Bonnie and Clyde! What was this freak thinking? Bonnie and Clyde had a totally different view of the world, their stories are miles apart. This woman is a dummy who got 2 submissive men to 'help'. I don't know Joanna's full life story yet just the usual same old same old. So I'll wait for Emma's take on the case and rethink it over. I so want to be a criminal psychologist and I'm going to go for it, it's my dream job and a long haul but people are very interesting creatures from culture to culture, upbringing, economic stature, trauma, empathy or lack thereof etc. Emma has been an inspiration.
completely agree with couldn't put it better myself
Thank you for going through this case, it happened near to where I live and terrifies me how evil she was.
Can’t wait for this. Loving your content! Peter Tobin next?! X
I cant wait!!!! Got a reminder set! 🖤
I listen to your uploads with great interest. I think one of the things I love about all these videos, is the fact there’s no music in the background during the talking. as horrifying as this particular documentary is, I hope I’m not alone in saying that I do love your slightly humerus observations about things only loosely connected to the events. It helps make the darker details easier to take in.
Keep up the good work.
I physically recoiled at Stretch with his tongue out.
Emma!!!!
I was wondering if you could cover the case of Tia Sharp, of New Addington, Croydon.
When I was living back at my mums, this was happening on my street. Police were going through our rubbish, our gardens... It was so scary. And the outcome was even more heartbreaking. I remember going to the little memorial that was set up after and I burst into tears. My neighbour asked why I was crying because I didn't know her, but that wasn't the point. It was the fact that this child, this baby, was taken away in such a way by someone who she loved and trusted.
Looking forward to this one emma I'm aware of her and her crimes but know nothing about her I know you're going to fill in all those gaps
Thank you Emma!
These are so educational. Wednesdays and Sundays are the highlight of my week.
Please, if you can, can you do Daisy de Melker?
You are still my hero!!
I always wonder how she can really be ‘the most dangerous’ when her crimes don’t involve the worst type of criminality which is obviously crimes against children.
I know cases of women who have been charged with ‘perverting the court of justice’ but on something extremely serious that I fear more than Joanne.
Strength and love to the families of the victims. I was horrified by these crimes and this was balbaric and absolutely undeserved. 🙏
I’m sure your cases will make there way inside prisons Emma there will be a smartphone about somewhere I expect.
X
Her utter self confidence and arrogance is what brainwashed people into going along with her, couple that with being sexually available to many guys and a crazed killer it's great that she wasnt the smartest otherwise the count could've been so much more.
Another awesome video! Further cementing my huge crush and absolute love of your sarcastic attitude towards some of the most horrible people on earth! Great work!
The 'gorgeous blonde' comment regarding Dennehy's appearance was the same comment made about Tracy Andrews who murdered her boyfriend and then attempted to convince the police that he was killed by two men in a car which had been trailing them. In fact, there was eyewitness testimony that no other car existed. What qualifies as 'beautiful' is high subjective; however, there seems to be someone psychological need to attribute 'beauty' to these two women in order to give them some redeeming quality, for some bizarre reason. This is not limited to women; however, because several documentaries spoke about Ted Bundy as a 'handsome' or 'nice looking' guy.
Been looking forward to this one. Thanks, Emma! 😊 I’m fascinated with people and what makes them “tick”
Do you ever wish you didn’t know as much as you do ? I don’t think people will ever stop shocking me xx
Brilliant vid as always so informative and honest! I live in the U.K so it's always interesting learning about cases from Britain in particular
I honestly laughed out loud when you addressed the housing issue (council properties etc) my mum (who I live with) are currently suffering from the decision to sell off so many properties and it SUCKS.
I love your insights and opinions. I learn a lot and agree with your views. The content is also very interesting. I would like to see more imagery though, to create more of visual story and you more of a narrator
My mum left me with my Dad when I was 6 months old and never looked back. She was a heavy heroin user and all around terrible person. I have never understood why she did that.
Hi Emma. I've not had internet for a few weeks and I've really missed your channel. But I've got internet back and I'm on the catch up. This is one story I've wanted to hear more about and it was so engrossing. It can't have been easy to talk about such a scary killer. Joanne Dennehy is the most terrifying killer in British history. Also, I have a suggestion for a future video. An American guy called Elliot Rodger. I hope I've got his name right. He was known as the killer virgin. He went on a spree because girls didn't fancy him. Keep the good work up. Your channel is amazing, as are you
Can't wait for this one Emma! XX
"Sleep well tonight chaps" lol I love her 😍
Thanks Emma, I asked for this case a few weeks ago. Love you and your stories. Could you please do the story on Richard Kaklisky. I don't know if I've spt his surname right, but he was known as the ice man xxxxxxx
I have been really looking forward to your coverage of this case. I use Dennehey in one of my lectures to stimulate discussion on the association of mental illness and violence since the community care act 🙏📚🎓

It makes me so sad when people have such wonderful families and they are taken for granted. My dad died when I was 2 and my mom extremely sick when I was 16. My family dies young and now I am 42 and the last of my family.

Cant wait for this Emma - Thankyou
I'm new here. My friend Claire/Wysteria-Energy Twister told me about you. She's told me loads of good channels!! I'll be back soon! Kx
I can’t even fathom a tenth of the awful things Emma has seen. Strong is an understatement.
I lived in Hereford until 2016 and let me tell you, we would never leave our doors open especially in the golden Post area. I lived at villa Street which is adjacent to golden Post. This is a very rough area.
I know, for me, my female cycle made it almost impossible to manage my mental health. I used to tell my psychiatrist that I’m the lady that would kill someone and be acquitted during PMS. I was diagnosed with PMDD. At 41, I got a hysterectomy. Even though I still have my ovaries, my hormones are so much more balanced..so I do believe hormones can change you.
I have pmdd but I don't think that has anything to do with murdering people..
I was working so i missed you live Em (gutted!), but this was worth waiting for. Everything as usual was covered from start to finish in your own inimitable style, i was engrossed....... It also amuses me when you have your imaginary conversations with somebody off to the side lol, i love it :)
When i see or hear that these killers smirk, laugh and generally show such uncaring lack of remorse when caught, i always think of what they'll be like in 20, 30 years time, how they would feel then, When they begin to realise that they've wasted their whole life in prison and what they've missed because of their actions. Also that they will actually die in prison ......Would they still have the same attitude? Would there be any regret? Would they still smirk about their crimes?
For instance, the Manson girls, when they're singing, laughing and joking throughout their trial, then when they mature and realise that their is life over, they show remorse, fight for parole and beg to be released.......Some of these killers aren't smirking or laughing then!!
Anyway, thank you for a fab video Emma and i'm ready for the next one....take care :) xx
Some of this happened in hereford my town, one of the guys she stabbed walking his dog just down the road from me,and I walked my dogs in the same area it could of been me or any one at that time. The guy still walks his dog every day in the same area. He must relive it every day he walks down that road. The other guy she stabbed and took his dog. Sadly he passed away some time later, he was an old man and apparently he was never the same man again.
I was watching a case just today that reminded me of this one , her name is Amanda Taylor, looking forward to listening to your opinions on this chilling case , it's one that has stuck with me for years x
I'm going to look that up. I hope Emma covers Mitchell Quy
My mom let me make my own choices, and reinforced to me she didn't care what I did. When you said that, it really hit home.
Love your work Emma! ❤️ I was wondering if you have or planned to do an episode on Dennis Nielsen? I watched the saga on him recently and am very curious to know more.
I sure will be doing. Em x
That’s Emma! Really enjoyed This one xx
Love your personality "Gary stretch" 😂😂
I wonder if she was abused as a child and blocked it out and never told anyone. The fact that her sister turned out so well adjusted is interesting.
And I have some anecdotal experience to corroborate this.
I lived with a woman who was abused as a child and she was a complete mess. Manipulative, substance dependant, habitual liar, abusive to her 14 year old daughter. Enjoyed violence. Lots of failed relationships.
Meanwhile her sister had a stabl and committed relationship, she had a good job. Overall very stable and well adjusted person.
Just the fact that she has such a sudden shift makes me wonder.
Another sad intriguing story of a life gone wrong!
I like true crime because I like to see the history and psychology and reasoning behind these awful realities. But I’m finding that we never really understand the why behind these people and their crimes. One of the frustrating parts. There is definitely a Dark evil that inhabits some of these people.
Stay safe Emma! Looking forward to next time!
What a great bday gift, thanks!♥️😁
