    This is the one tutorial I've found where someone actually manages to make an effective hot fiery red. It's perfect and will be (stealing) using this for sure this Christmas :)

    Thanks for the video made this a lot less intimidating of a model.

    Head's up for anyone looking to replicate this. When it comes to the 'drybrushing' stages of oranges and reds. Load up your brush way more than you think, it should pretty much be wet. I tried actually drybrushing and got a drastically different result, so try pretty much painting it on. The result looks more like a pissed off red than a bright hot orange/red

      Thank you! Totally doable with a brush it just takes ages 😅 unless you can find a nice red spray can that you like

    So good! When you're spraying your reds, are you waiting long to apply the lighter layer or is it okay to paint wet on wet?

    • @stalwartminiatures994
      @stalwartminiatures994  Před 2 lety

      Thanks! Nah not very long, you can do wet on wet, just your next colour will take mix with the first layer, and if you let it dry you will see more of a difference between the colours, but tbh by the time I’ve changed the colour in the brush I just want to start spraying again lol

    Great job on the miniature!!! I just have one question cause i really liked the work on the metallics....u go with a base of rhinox hide and then layer the first metallic or just dry brush them on the rhinox?

    • @stalwartminiatures994
      @stalwartminiatures994  Před rokem +1

      Yea that's right, base in any type of dark brown and then drybrush your darkest metallic first (quite heavily) and then a lighter drybrush with a brighter metallic, hope that helps

    I find one problem when I drybrush Vallejo Metal Color over black base colour. If I spray varnish over VMC, the black base colour shows through colour become black...
