- New painting series! What, again!?! This time round we're painting a not a bloodthirster model. We'll be tackling this project piece by piece and in this part we'll take our first try at painting some demon Khorne skin.

HA! They sculpted the nads!
I really appreciate that you change things up rather than always doing the same thing. Seeing things not work out and how you recover is interesting.
Always great to hear from the Doctor
Red is probably the hardest colour to highlight and have it look like a real red. It's either too orange, too pink, or doesn't look like the highlights are strong enough. The only two solutions that I've found which remotely work is to start really dark so that the final highlights are actually red. Alternatively I highlight with something that will stop it from looking red and then go in with a glaze of red ink.
That’s some nice demon skin!
Just me, catching up on videos, having a peaceful time. Then 😮. ⏪. 🏀⚽
Cool. I finished my one of those a couple of weeks ago. Great model.
Ballsy colour scheme :D
Just discovered your channel trying to learn how to paint skin on a bust, giving your recipe a shot asap. Got this beautiful Morgana Le Fay bust from Big Childs, any tips for me?
Also keep up the great work!
I've heard of blue balls, but purple balls sound incredibly painful.
a question, could you apply this same technique to painting a red slaad?
Hey, I know it's a bit off topic, but I had a question about that soft cream white you did on Uni two weeks ago. I'm trying to replicate it on a model with much deeper and sharper shadowed areas, and I'm wondering if you know of any good paints for that kind of shadow that don't make the transition look really abrupt. Ideally from vallejo, but any other range is fine too.
