@Druid of Scosglen that’s very funny, when I bought my first set of space marines a few years ago, the store owner told me “welcome to the world of plastic crack”
To get my 2k pt army it cost me almost 1k… but I’ve definitely enjoyed my time with my army so far
And I’m a tradesmen so I usually get large pay checks every 1-2 months so I’m not doing so bad

That moment when you realise Dave probably has more Chaos Space marines at his disposal than Abaddon.
lol
We have a new question here, Does Dave have an army large enough to counter Abadon?
Is Dave Abaddon?
@@SixCylinderSamurai most likely
@@americankid7782 Or better yet, travel to Badab, challenge Abaddon in the Skull harvest, and use blood drunk Canadian rage to smash once and for all Abaddon's plot armour, and claim his warriors for his own.
After ensuring Huron Blackheart takes out a Silver Vault membership, so that he can get sick discounts from Adam at Greenleaf Terrain when next kitting out his strategium, Dave will leave the Maelstrom in a Rok that counts as a Gloraina Class Battleship, at the head of a warhost not seen since the Heresy, bound for Terra.
His goal; not merely to overthrow the False Emperor, but to raise all humanity by rediscovering the STC for TimBits.
I shall repeat: collecting miniatures, painting miniatures, and playing 40K are 3 separate and distinct hobbies!!!
i don't understand how one human can balance a job that pays their bills and affords them this hobby, plus the collecting, plus the painting, plus the playing. HOW, i asks ye!
@@RyleeStrange Its hard but if you have control and patience, you can use your weekends to do the stuff.
Work as a security guard and be posted in a remote part of the world where your only job is to just clock in on time and patrol once an hour for 10 minutes.
Take as much overtime as you need for the hobby.
After one year of doing this alone, you can afford the time and resources it takes to amass a 5k point army in about a year while all paying bills and investing.
Also reading the lore is separate too! I know plenty of lore lords that have never played, painted, or collected 😀
Imagine how long is to play with a 144000 pts army!

Congratulations Dave, I hope you continue to enjoy Chaos Space Marines and may your collection grow and you have fun all the way! I learned a lot about Warhammer watching your video !Thanks !
If that's not the largest privately-owned collection there is, I'd be surprised. I hold zero love or respect for GW as a company and will never give them another dime, but the fan base is incredible. What a great passion project. A great video, all in all. The community is lucky to have you as an ambassador!
@blahblahblah1312 Tends to happen when they treat their customers and content creators like dirt.
Well-setup 3d Printers could be the renewal or the death of GW. And either is Good.
@@Jsay18 I agree. I currently buy 3rd party minis and make my own with a 3D printer, because I need to see a few years' worth of solidly-improved business practices from GW before I'd ever consider giving them a penny. Pirated PDF rulebooks are available if you're willing to look for them, and generally my gaming group has taken to playing smaller games with the Kill-Team HoR fan expansion using the 7th Ed core rulebook(the last legit book I bought from GW).
I 100% agree, though - either vastly-improved business practices or a quick demise; both are more acceptable to me than the current status quo at GW.
@blahblahblah1312 Not like a bitter ex at all. I simply exercise my right to not support entities(be they people, businesses, or governments) that do not meet my expectations.
@@tomd96 what are you talking about? GW has some 10/10 customer support, they're legitimately amazing at it.

Dave your a true inspiration. I am about to embark into the world of Chaos. I feel the same passion you have for Khorne for Tzeentch and have begun painting Ahriman. I started off with the Dark Angels but I have come to realize that it is Chaos that has been calling me this entire time.
I really miss seeing Dan. Sometimes I'll go back and watch some of the super old videos with him playing Orks. He seemed like such a fun person and watching him play his orks out of pure enjoyment was a lot of fun. Dan was basically the epitome of a human Ork haha
Do you know where he went? just tried doing a little research to see what he's up to but he hasn't uploaded in like 7 years! loved the video's with Dan back in the day.

This is so nostalgic - I can't remember when I first started watching MWG content, but the old video shorts of Deffy & Co. (including the protagonist with a plasma gun who's name I've forgot haha) still pop into my head every now and then (shout out to Captain Slaughter). Thank you for still creating content, and I'm looking forward to the 200,000 point update!
Haven’t seen a mwg video since like 2013, holy hell Matt’s silver streaks shocked me, but everyone looks great. Dave’s collection going from what it was back then to now is nothing but astounding, bravo sir. Great Warhammer hobby video content.
Great doc guys I really enjoyed it 👍 thanks for all your videos etc
excellent vid, really enjoyed it and plan to dive into Warhammer myself soon
You've reminded me why i got into this hobby. I play orks and have collected over 3000 points in a bit more than 1 year and with current ork rules was feeling kind of stale and boring playing games, but its the miniatures. That's why i got into this hobby.
The first model i ever built was scratchbuilt and kitbashed, an Achilles Ridgerunner and a trukk combined with plasticard and sprue spikes and wheels, lego tracks, and hair rollers turned into a deff rolla for one of the coolest bonebreakas ive ever seen. I was so proud of myself.
Literally chanting ORKS ORKS ORKS ORKS, from dawn of war as i finished building it.
So thank you for reminding me why i build tiny green soldiers Dave.
We'll have our day in the sun again, ya git! (Or you could be a double-dipping bastard like me and build an army like my Orkstartes, explicitly designed to be entirely playable and WYSIWYG as either faction.)
The cameos throughout this video are actually hilarious, awesome to see so many content creators doing something even if it is a 2 second joke.
This edit was hilarious and awesome my man 👊😂 New sub as I get back into my childhood passion 40K after almost two decades!

Absolutely AMAZING! And I don't just mean the miniatures, but the video as a whole! I've been a fan of MWG from its humble beginnings to this day, and it was so exciting to see all the history of the company and your army summarised in this action-packed video. Dave, you and all the others at MWG are absolute Heroes! Keep doing what you love! 👍🔥
Amazing to see every single Chaos model you own on a table and your dedication to the hobby. You probably do have the largest Chaos Space Marine army in the Western Hemisphere at a minimum. I am going to start my own Chaos Space Marine army, eventually. Keep collecting and making great videos.
I haven't watched a video from you guys since 2014... great to see that you guys are still ruling the galaxy of the 41. century!
Absolutely incredible the army you have amassed and love the different legions, figures, and paint schemes used. But the edited and production of this video almost surpasses the army in wow factor. Comical script and fantastic clips of the journey that this army has gone through to get to this point
Yooooooo. The fucking narration level is insane. Props to Dave, you’ve come a long way. From batreps banter, making a home movie, etc. Great work mate. You guys were my first love on CZcams and on 40k. You are The Godfathers of online 40k and I may you live forever!

Passion is, truly, the secret to life. I remember going back to college, in my 30's, and I had this female professor who was not aesthetically attractive.
But, her passion SHINED SO BRIGHT for literature that it made her beautiful.
It wasn't appropriate, but I even told her so, and she was grateful I said it.
