- Dave witnessed firsthand what a man named Kyle from Gear Gut's Mek Shop can do with a love of Orks! He creates his own version of them called Broozers. So technically they're not Orks. They're "better than Orks!" in the words of Kyle.

I bet GW hates this, he's making them look bad. This guy perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the orks, I love it.
GW does not need anyone to make them look bad, they do it all by themselves.
Only right thing is to recruit guys like this to the company, thats how you grow and become big. Dont fight talent, absorb it.
@@kalle1689 people said the same about animator , and when GW recruited most of WH40K animator everyone complaigned
ahhh WH40K fans favorite hobby : spitting on GW who give them the stuff they buy
He isnt really making them look bad. Id say the amount of effort going into what are pretty much one off pieces they could never hope to match and sell at scale for a sane price. This guy is selling to a particular niche. What makes gamesworkshop look bad are their ridiculous prices. The cost of miniatures has kept up with my income going up from minimum wage as a child to what most would consider a well paid profession now that im an adult.
I feel like that with Orks, we shouldn't be calling them 'Scratch built' but should refer to them as 'Lore Accurate' :D
I can get behind this.
Nothing is junk to Gork. Two sticks and a rock can be deadlier than a nuke in the hands of a cunning ork. Give them a junkyard. They will build a machine that would rival an Emperor-Class Titan. Give them a Forge World. They would build massive Rockets and take that whole planet with them as a massive dreadnought warship.
Really, these models perfectly capture the spirit of the orks. If it weren't for copywrite they should be called orky models.
@@Qardo held together with nothing but undiluted faith and brightly coloured red tape
@@koransumant6270 the orcs believe that red goes faster so that would actually make sense for this
Showing just what the hobby is all about, letting imagination run wild, if GW had a scrap of sense left to them they'd embrace this way of creation whole-hog.
They are too corpo now. Corps only care about short term gain
Well IP infringement is important espescially when you soll plastickits like legal cocaine...
@@manfredgesink8514 Yea I know, just like Gundam does, right?... right?
@@daringdarius5686 hey, Bandai got better corporate practice than Gee Double L
@@exudeku that's the joke :o
Kyle's humility is amplified when Dave gets more excited.
A truly envious collection.
I love it if you guys get a chance to showcase other people's army like this again please do this was awesome.
Might be the coolest 40K army in existence. This will inspire other artists.
Dave is refreshing in the current era of 40K CZcams content where too many channels focus around 'competitive play' rather than narrative play, and most of all, fun.
Lore-wise, these "Broozers" are what I imagine the Orks will become if they are unified under one banner and begin to evolve back to their Krork ancestors' intellectual/physical stature. Or maybe this is what they looked like in their Rork period of devolution (but less likely because of the asymmetric ramshackle design).
I honestly figure Broozers are what happens when a WAAAAGH! becomes scarily good at fightin' and winnin', their Boss is huge, stompy, kunnin', brutal and successful, and their Meks get awesomeness withdrawal when they're not buildin' some badass trukks or Gargants.
I love krok consult artwork
So cool
War of the beast era orks
Was gonna say they seem like a missing link between the Krok and Orks, maybe a leaning a little closer to the modern orks but more advanced nonetheless
This guy's literally trying to build 40k titans TO SCALE. By the warp this almost makes me want to make admech customs out of fear.
Dude, do it! Live the dream!
Man I wish there were as many admech 3d models as these sick Ork models
Absolutely wild. Ork fans are on a whole different level.
Thus is half of why i love orks so much. So much creativity!
Yep we are.... more or less but mostly yes
Orks are basically the last faction you can go crazy with like this.
@@gabe9346 it's so sad. reject consoomerism! embrace creation!
@@marvalice3455 I embrace it! WAAAAAAGH!!
OI DERE, YAH GITZ!
I've been an Ork player for over 20 years, and Kyle, you are the epitome of us as scratch builders, designers and just generally good gitz. I am always happy to be part of a group of players that is regularly down to earth and humble.
I now want a Kustom boss of meself designed by you, as I would love the work of someone who is so ingrained in the Ork lore, kultur and understands the fun behind it all. I would answer by making a boss of you in return!
I now go to look into your insane Gargant library on the website.
Stay classy, Boss.
-Boss Mek BillyBob
I love all this collaboration, with other war gamers, and the people in the hobby who do interesting things.
I'm 40 years old, I've been gaming for the second hemisphere of my life, aged into it as I grew up, I've seen a alot of cool shit in my life, this may seriously, absolutely, full Stop, the coolest freaking thing I've ever seen. The bruiser's and the rawness and menacingly fun gore, grimdark of these models. Just unbelievable, I could spend hours just enjoying snd playing snd endlessly marveling at that army. Joy!
Still some time to hopefully live a little more
I was a Patreon of Geargutz for a bit over a year. I do not play Orks myself but my friend does. I love to 3D print and he gets gifts from me because of it (plus I do not have to paint them). The models are pretty nice to print and go together fairly easily. And as you saw they look so good! Keep up the good work!!!!!
I love how excited Dave gets about this kind of stuff! His enthusiasm is so infectious!
I like to picture Gw sitting at a computer watching this and just slowing getting up walking over to the wall and just putting its head right through it. This is so damn cool. I’m not an ork guy but damn… pure and utter respect for this man. Thank you for sharing!
And they are yelling at their Lawyers yo find out if they can sue this guy. After all. GW is far too corporate now. They have no soul anymore. They do not care about anything but money and shareholders.
@@Qardo oh the sue-steam is blasting out it’s ears
Granted I realize he's intentionally breaking the GW mold, and this is still probably the coolest 'Ork' walker collection I've ever seen- I wish he'd do more with the fat-bellied gargant style. I always really liked that unique look, and his look more like orked-out imperial knights and titans.
I rarely build anymore and havent played since 5th edition... but scratch built or 3D printed ork stuff will always be something I have to check out. Amazing collection!!
This is the orkiest ork army that ever orked. I love this dude's vibe and talent so much.
This is called taking the hobby to the next level. Bravo. Amazing.
Geargutz is the best patreon and discord community ive ever joined. Period. I love the models and the people who make them. Great video!
I remember seeing these way back on the old mwg forums and being beyond awestruck. So fun finding them years later and seeing how it has evolved. Great inspiration keep it up!!!
This guy has a very creative mind. This is what is good for the hobby.
I'm not into the modeling hobby but I got to say this is very impressive. Games Workshop should not be mad this is what Role Playing is all about. You can make your own world, own races and your own story. For the ones talented enough like he is. This is great and they look phenomenal great job.
i've been a fan of gearguts stuff for over a year now. it was great to see a this small part of his collection. thanks for showing this MGW
As a Bad Moonz Ork player, I have fallen in love with his army.
Is bad moon good? I mainly played the Goff army.
First off, this man is so happy to be showing his army. I caught myself grinning from ear to ear witnessing his joy at having his hard work admired in such a way. Second, he got one thing so right about the Orks that it hurts: they're all different. I paused the video to admire every last one and lemme tell ya... he took that idea very seriously. I love it.
Edit: "I added 60,000 points this year." What. What.
This is the single most impressive 40k collection I've ever seen. Creative, skillful, and playful. Bravo
Honestly, I think most of us would kill to have a video done by Kyle where he does a bit of a deep dive into scratch building with plasticard for orks
I was just thinking that
I was just thinking that
I can see why Orks inspire him. I used to think they were stupid when I was younger but they really capture that brutal 80’s metal poster feel. This guys “Orks” feel much more like the actual artwork from the books imo
Scale and from scratch, Kyle you are godly my man.
"This is what they fear"
Seeing scratch built stuff is awesome. Especially since some of the models he designed himself and printed. Would love to see some one page rules stuff on here at some point.
Oh yeah! In subbed to both guys, and they are great artists
This is EXACTLY how I imagine the war of the beast honestly.
step 1: gather plastic materirals
step 2: cut into basic shapes
step 3: build the orc army
Great job that army looks AWESOME. more 40k than games workshop.
Dave I am so happy to see you guys giving the broozers some love. I dipped into their products to off a more unique looks to my ork crew their a fantastic company and have been so involved in any questions I had and I love how much you show love to the hobby.
Being there for Dave's Warboss release was amazing. Having first seen this...then seeing that happen in Discord was a truly amazing and unique experience to joining the community!
One of the coolest armies I've ever seen. Just amazing. Love it all. So creative. 10/10
This guy is as cool as his work.
Best MWG video ever. I’ve admired this gent and his mad genius for years and getting a conversation like this is perfect.
Cheers from Texas!
this is the most impressive and creative 40k army i've ever seen
Awesome. I love seeing all these beauties in one place. It's really cool to see the evolution of the bruisers. Well done Kyle!
Thanks, I do try to perpetually push myself to improve. Every design is aimed to be an upgrade over the last!
I remember getting some extremely useful advice from geargutz on some of my projects in the orkz discord. It's so cool to see his force growing and some new designs that I've not seen since I last talked to him.
Finally! Someone who can paint yellow and it doesn't look like some cheap plastic toys!
One hard core Mekboy. Fantastic work! Thanks for showing this off.
This is the man that should be running GW's Ork designers department but something tells me he likes the freedom of self determination ... like an ork leader.

That is an amazing collection. Love that he points out that when collecting a Ork army no two figures should be the same, I love that touch.
don't play 40k but wow what an impressive collection
The ridiculous thing is that this is maybe a tenth of his collection. It's seriously absolutely enormous.
@@matthewgagnon9426 that's wild man, truly a god amongst men
The coolest guys are always the ork players. Amazing army!
"Wait 'till you see Grandpa!"
Me: Oh...you mean the big model in the middle right? Pretty much a Warlord Titan for orks. Pretty cool.
"This is the Daddy."
Me: Wait......what?
That is some serious passion. Love it. Way to go Bro.
Awesome weathering effects on the vehicles and armour. It actually looks like they have been in tons of battles. A lot of ork players models are a bit too clean and fresh looking for my tastes but this army looks exactly as i would expect a real ork warband to look like. Respect to Kyle for the fantastic work!
Cracking stuff, it's awesome seeing some of your Waaagh! close up and in detail Kyle 😝 Great work 😊👍
Keeping an eye on the other warbosses? ;-)
Dude is happier, has more fun and probably makes more money doing this then most people just going into jobs that are “normal” after Uni.
Gosh dang coolest Ork army evar! - those boss models are insanely cool! This is the size they need to be!
That collection is so cool, I'd love to just peruse the table and look at the models up close
There is far more of the collection, what was on the table was just what was in my truck at the time, and was a rather smaller percentage of the full force. there will be time to really go through the force and show off its true scale in the future.
I have collected orks since, 1999, I love this beyond words. I will be buy your stl,s. Cant wait to see future pieces. Im in heaven. Thankyou.......Wayne
Kyle drops like 20 new models every month that outclass gw on every level.
I'm not an ork guy, but this army is just...wow. Kyle went to the warp and beyond with these models. A pleasure for the eyes. Thanks for the showcase MWG, it was a really interesting video.
You could hire this guy and instantly have all the models and characters you would ever need for a warhammer game. kickass
This is how Orkz should be in both tabletop and in video games.
Absolutely glorious.
I love this. I love Orks, and this guy has done the thing Ork players get known for but on another scale... a very unique set of miniatures! Always looking for this kind of content.
When I think about Ork in 40k that what I have in mind. I started 40k in the mid '90 and if GW would have done is Ork army like this I would have keep buying them.
Im planning on opening two very large shops for gaming. Orks are my main theme. I will be contacting you this year, i have a few commissioned pieces for you to build for my shops. To big, is never in my vocabulary. Seeing your Ork Army has me blown away beyond words. My wife knows i found heaven on earth. I got started gaming in 1980, in the US Army DND. PLAYED FOR 3 YRS STRAIGHT.
WAAAAAAAAAGH! Greenskinz rule and Kyle your collection is insane! Love it. 💚
I fell on this site by accident, not my bag at all, but hats off to the guy who made the models excellent and unique. 5+
So i just had a look at the shop.
... I'm sitting here with my eyeballs popping out and my wallet pre-emptively uttering mercy pleas.
I have, for as long as i know 40K been a Space Marines fan, albeit more borderline renegade than blue boys... But this...
This blows me away.
The sheer variety of models, and the scale and awesomeness of them, and, and... >wipes away drool<
I'm an Ork fan now.
And while i would say "MOAR DAKKA" i'm pretty sure the tagline banner on the website says it all.
"ENUF DAKKA"; It's perfect.
Gear Guts, thank you for your work and addition to the hobby.
You absolute mad lads, dare i say legends.
This was amazing you can really see the love put into the models paint and design
Dude I love Orks. So this man has like my favorite army scaled up to 1000
Wow man these are badass models, really great work all around. Thanks for showing them off to us.
Not picking up these models by the bases is not only bad form, but almost gave me a heart attack.
Its all good, I Gave permission, and besides, any break? well that's an opportunity for an upgrade!
This army is incredible! I would absolutely LOVE to play against an army like this. The fun factor would be immense.
This guy needs to create the next WH40k model company. True passion for the art and lore. 🤩
Seen some of this stuff before but just wow, he's done such an incredible job
I don't do any of this, but love looking at these figures, the detail, and dedication. Wow! Well done.
When he showed the "grandpa" I immediately screenshot and shared it on every social media.
Dave all I can say is PROPPA. Where was Gear Gutz when I was running Orkfest every year. I could have used this zogger. I love it all. Jobs a guddun.
This is professional artist + passion stuff ! Possibly the most impressive looking army i have seen !
You two are incredible individuals with exceptional creativity and vision.
I am amazed at the creativity of this army. All dakkadakka for life.
It's great to see people getting behind the idea of using non GW minis for 40k.
Kyle is a creative genius and all around good gamer, well done lad.
Remember WH40k Compendium, making a grav tank out of a plastic deodorant dispenser, how GW has changed...
Thank you. Had some money to throw at my hobbies and getting some time now here in summer and this is a great find.
Loved the vid
I think you could legit use a few of those models as weights because boy are they hefty lookin
Gen 1 Grandpa looks like a Nier Automata villain.
Also, this kind of dedication is so admirable... love it.
An artist who's good at hands? That has to be heresy!
This is a bunch of orks that have clearly spent a lot of time fighting and winning against the Imperium and the Tau. Such battlefields would allow for a lot of great scrap and its natural the orks would eventually emulate their enemies by building bigger and bigger machines. The ork would after all understandably covet the power of his enemies weapons of war and want one for himself. This army is like the ork version of tyranid bioform development whereby the more conflicts they have with the imperium, the more they evolve weapons designed to counter what the imperium fields. More often then not waaaghs usually blow themselves out and infighting usually breaks out and the unity crumbles back to chaos but if a group of orks were to have constant and mostly successful fights against the imperium, they could easily stave off the infighting long enough to come up with these kinds of ramshackle war machines.
I also love how, in true orky style, each model is distinct enough to be its own work. And it would be with orks. Unlike the other races which produce their stuff to patterns in factories, the orks build these things in the field and each to the orks own design. Any similarities in design would simply be the ork copying his neighbour because he liked how much mores shootier his neighbours build was.
Kyle definitely gets the ork mentality.
google told me to watch this. I don't know anything about this stuff but this guy should be the guy. the guy for all that stuff. seems like he figured it out
Holy Gork and Mork! As an orks player, I am green with envy. ... I may have to loot some of those ideas.
Love the lore of 40k but not been into the actual game for about 30 yrs but by god this is the most impressive set of models I've ever seen . This guy is a genius
Kyle you are a true visionnary,GW should recrut you in his team creator Master rank !!
He looks so proud i love it
Literally the only reason i do not have a Mek Grandpa printed out is i have NOWHERE to put that thing.
Mek Daddy is big enough as it is. It sits in the corner of my gameroom on an end-table, immediately drawing "WTF IS THAT" reactions when people walk in lol
Sir I salute you. You are truly a disciple or Gork and Mork
This guy is so nerdy I love it. What a beautiful collection of WAAAAAAAHG energy
This man is legally no longer named "Kyle"
He is now called "Da Biggest, Bestest Mek Boy"
This is absolutely astonishing, great great work.
Seeing all these custom made ork robots, especially the big ass grandpa one, makes so happy. I'm so glad that this popped up in my recommendations randomly.
This is the natural evolution of Ork technology when left unchecked
